  2. Thanks rriggs. I was thinking of re-looking at the masts, as well as the aft deck. I see on your ship a nice little crane and I think I can see that on the back of my ship where the stern RIB recovery ramp is.
  3. This picture shows the RIB (Rapid Inflatable Boat) recovery ramp on the stern of the ship.
  4. Here is my Lego Patrol Craft. I don't have any specific genre I'm putting this into. I based the model off of the US Coast Guard Sentinel-class Fast Response Cutter. The model has three decks. The internal layouts still need to be finalized but I think I am about 98% done with the outside. I apologize for the ridiculous background but that is the stock background from LDD and I haven't found a way to create a better one yet. Any comments, critiques and questions are appreciated.
  5. Great job! Thank you for showing your work process as well. The presentation is first rate.
  6. Thanks, I'm sure seeing all the MOCs without a ton of people standing in the way is well worth exhibiting as well! I'm working on a project that I hope I can get done by next years Brickfair but it's all about money and time. I think the design will be done in the next few weeks.
  7. Awesome tower. It looks like a busier tower than it looks on the outside. The details you put into the various work stations in the tower makes it pretty convincing that this is a busy place!
  8. I have been going to Brickfair for the past three or four years and I attend each time with my daughter who loves legos as well. For those who present, what goes on outside of the public displays? I imagine after set-up there are things happening just for the presenters. Any insight would be appreciated.

"Let go of her you ......." -Ripley (Aliens) Sorry couldn't help the reference! Great model I like the whole piece! I can't really say anything bad about it!
  10. That is pretty slick! I like the snub nose look to it! The details of the rotor hub and the NOTAR system looks great.
  11. 750ACE Thanks for the links, those ships are spectacular!
  12. My name is Ben and I'm comming off of another lenghty dark age where lego wasn't on my radar. Work and other things made it hard to focus on really digging in the lego box! I'm not really going to post alot of physical MOCS because I've got two little girls who don't know how to keep daddies bricks serperate from their own yet. So with LDD (Lego Digital Designer) I've been working through some of my ideas that where sparked after going to BrickFair Virginia this year. I'm not only an AFOL, but I am also an iRacer and Flight Sim enthusiast so my intrests are pretty varied. I love anything that has an engine and carries people! I have a current project underway that I plan on presenting hopefully (maybe naively hoping) at next years BrickFair. I am looking at doing a Minifig scale version of a patrol ship, I know it's been done before, but I think that making massive navy ships are insanly interesting and you have so many cool details to build all in one model. Out side of racing, and flying, I also love the Sci-Fi MOCS that people come out with and probably will be hanging out in that forum more than others. Oh well that is enough about me at the momment. I'm sure if I can dig up some of my stuff I posted 6 years ago on the Classic Space website I'll post them here. But until then I'm looking forward to really getting back into the community, even if it's through forums, as my local LUG meets on days my church has Mens Breakfasts.
