Here is the start of the bride wing. I'm still researching what would normally be placed on the bridge wing, but for sure there will be comms, signalling lights, and docking controls.

I'm using the BlueRender software I found on here. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=109972 I've had to make a few adjustments to get it to render with the white background but the Wiki page has a lot of answers on it.

Finished the Captains area, and started to block out the bridge wing.......not to excited about the bridge wing. Also does anyone know how high up these windows are usually placed?

https://scontent-iad...052101583_o.jpg This is the first release of the bridge layout design for the second class of ships in this design group. There is a long way to go on fitting the bridge out and I have ideas on what all I want to incorporate on this design so I think it's going to be a long design process. Please feel free to comment.

What rendering tool did you use for this, they are beautiful renders.

Stupid question, how did you get the blue background for the render. I really like the truck but I'm struggling with rendering my LDD designs so that I can create a use able set of instructions instead of the one that LDD comes up with.

That would have been one I would love to have seen as a kit out from Lego.

I love the details like the antenna and the graffiti on the back. I really like the overall layout of the design and think that it's well detailed through out the building. Great job.

Great job on these! I like the lattice building it's so interesting looking. I do like the doorway you added into the first building it balances out everything. I especially love the detail you put into the hand rails.

What are you rending this in? I've been trying to get the LDD to POVRay to work and it's not working for me at all.

That's pretty clean looking. I like it but the lamp seems pretty huge in comparison to everything else.

Brilliant looking ship you have there. Every thing is well balanced and has such a cool look with looks from all kinds of Sci-Fi movies to it.

Some really cool stuff here. I really like the old cars, even the up-armored one. I think you have some great stuff going on here. i can't wait to see your new work as it comes.

I always liked the little "Trash Can" dudes on that movie. Great work on this ship man, the only thing I can think to add to this would be the use of maybe the yellow smooth plates with black back plates might give off the mullion effect that I remember seeing on those large window areas. Brilliant model in it's execution and man would it be impressive to see that IRL.

Outstanding model. I love the greebling in the engine! Let me ask though am I the only one that added "Bay" to the end of the title and expect something different? Great surprise that it's a masterpiece of a MOC.

As I have said in my other posting I plan on doing a series of 3 ships in LDD and I plan on building one to display at next years Brickfair VA. Here is the start of my second ship. I haven't completely decided what her purpose in life is yet but she'll probably another military style ship. I wanted to post some WIP pics so that I can get feedback not only on the design but perhaps some ways of using different techniques to try out. So here she is......at present..... This is her bow. Like I said I don't have a plan on the forward mount just yet, but I'm working on it. This is her forward command area. I thought the lights are a pretty cool idea. This is half of the RIB Deployment and Recovery Area of the ship. The slopes on The sides of the ships are just an idea at the moment, they aren't 100% designed through yet. I plan on trying to mount something like an Aegis array on it. We'll see if I can come up with that. Anyway that is how I work through a ships design, start at the bow and work my way aft. I try to build in the ability to take the ship apart for transport that is why there are the technic pieces on the back of this section of the ship. As always tips, comments, and critiques are always welcome. For larger pictures please feel free to visit my flickr page. http://www.flickr.com/photos/63422706@N06/

I like the detailing in the back. I think this thing looks super realistic. This isn't a dig at all but with the color scheme and pieces I think it would have fit in with the Lego Space models from the 1980's to early 90's. What software did you do this in? I like to the renderings you where able to get from it.

Thank you Medib. I have started the hull of my second ship in LDD and as it stands right now it has two rows of inward slope along the water line area. probably will have some blister areas on the hull as well I think. Im still only on the Fo'c'sle area build up right now.

Here is the 30% RIB design as it would be seen approaching the stern RIB recovery ramp. This is round three of the design for the main gun. I added in buffers on top of barrel for looks, let me know what you think.

I've made more improvements, I started really looking at the stern RIB recovery ramp and found it was too small for the Lego RIB boat that I was planning on using, so I had to lengthen the ship as well as re-design the doors. Thank you all for the comments on this ship. I've put lots of hours in to the design and will probably keep playing with the design for a little while longer but I am going to design three vessels in a series and then get a price on building them and then decide between the three which one to build with my teammate (daughter).

Some new updates for the Patrol Craft. 90% overall arrangement detail. New Pilot house and 02-Level design with new mast elements and life-raft on the forward 01-Level roof. A few new stern details in the RIB recovery well as well as adding a stairwell from the main deck to the 02-Level. As always please feel free for comments and crits.

So this is the correct file though? It seems awful generic.
