  1. My sets had two variations, some with ten silver wheels, some six silver and four bley, others later had sets with ten bley wheels, the other silver parts also varied.
  2. I love 8285, and have six versions of it. Most of those who say they dont like it are ones who have become Lego fans since after it was released. At the time of its release it was the only pneumatic set available and without a doubt the smoothest most realistic looking technic set produced, definitely a turning point in technic in my mind. It would have been nice to have had more pneumatic functions and possibly a motorised compressor but it was still a great set.
  3. Its simple business, when you pay a lot of money for a business you dont then go and give the best parts away to the competition.
  4. Looks Great, next step is chrome;-) The price I got them for was a crazy price, 50% off retail, couldnt let that pass.
  5. Thanks, I did buy 6 of them originally, though some parts were sold thru my BL store at the time, but I have more than replaced those sold now. Nearly all of my sets are built, I store them in 60l and 80l storage containers.
  6. Each wheel had its own leaf spring. Only the rear axles were powered on the ones here. I havent seen a 4wd J series, we had MK 4wds and the army had RL 4wds, MKs were forward control the same as the TK, the RLs had a very short bonnet, almost flat front.
  7. 20% off all Lego at the warehouse till 1-10-13. Picked up a couple of technic sets at Sylvia Park today.
  8. is your NXT rechargeable battery new or used, listed as new but description seems to indicate it is used. I wont mention the ripping off on 41999 prices
  9. All the gearboxes were 4 speed +R crash boxes. The smaller ones we had here were 214 petrol, the larger ones 300 petrol, though 330 diesels were also available, all six cylinders. All were multi leaf springs and could be on 16 or 20" wheels. At telecom we had single and double cabs, wheelbases varied, I dont have actual measurements of those.
  10. for 5x3 try using panels on both sides with liftarms between them
  11. Looks good. You could add more hoses to fill in the front wheel arches. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=484531
  12. First time for me was the RCX, then after selling my whole collection again saw the 8285 towtruck and started again.
  13. I would like to open mine but having to work away for a few months so I have to wait until I get home to open it. I would really like 8285 for a number.
  14. The Metalic silver parts are expensive, but personally I like them with chrome parts even more, and the price is very similar.
  15. I would say it is more likely for those with mindstorms RCX sets and other older sets to keep them working.
  16. zero feedback but I wonder how many least favorites lists you are on already. What country are you in? If I receive my second one then I will sell it at cost.
  17. Actually I have 2 already on the way, though I did get 3 hot dog stands last month, would have been nice to have received some communication about it though.
  18. I only bought a scond one as it was cheaper than 9398, so if my order is filled I may sell it for the price of 9398 or swap for a new 9398.
  19. 41999 now sold out on S@H. I did order a second one a couple of days ago which is still showing as on Back Order, but the mini mech has been cancelled, the train motor I also ordered is showing in process.
  20. I received shipping notice for 41999 also, but not yet for 42008, 42009.
  21. Many larger mobiles have pin lock booms which only tele one section at a time, rather than extend simultaneously some of the Groves have one section pin lock and then 3 simultaneous.
  22. I think that in process is the packing stage, I expect they pack enough orders to fill a shipping crate then bulk ship to Nz where they are reshipped. It always takes roughly 4 days for my orders to go to shipped.
  23. It varies depending on the crane, most newer cranes have fast and slow controls. Some of the Hiabs I have operated have painfully slow outriggers, mainly when retracting.
  24. I dont see which links you are using, the links for the gears you have used are the http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=bb76 I am not sure if any of the others will work.
