Today I ordered the parts from lego and bricklink, next pay day I will get eneloop AAA batteries and get staples to make a instruction booklet with that service they do, I will post pics. Just to check, will the AAA battery box be able to supply enough power to all the motors like the expensive rechargeable one does?

RC Test Car
JM1971 replied to Lakop's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
From lego.com 88000 (AAA Box) Holds 6 AAA batteries and delivers up to 800 mA current. You can drive 2 XL Motors or 4 Medium motors together. 8881 Each battery box can power 2 XL-Motors or 4 M-Motors at the same time. It should be the same current and voltage just lasts about half as long, I cant confirm this though. -
[WIP] 8297 Completely Revamped
JM1971 replied to VKTechnic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I never realized the original set had connectors sticking up out the roof, that's a bit sloppy from lego, I thought you had placed the battery box there temporary, hence moc. -

I see power connectors too, just one change makes it a moc? (at least thats what I thought) -
Making one 500 part model is tough but 3 of them is exponentially harder, GL to those who did it.

I bet that can pull wheelies, I like this style of construction, all business, sweet. Will be even faster with a AAA battery box -

Made during last years lego.com competition with a povray snow addon, click pictures to download 1920x1080 images, use the images as you like or cover your own creation in festive snow, the procedure is fairly straightforward and I'll help out if necessary. Snow generator ... http://www.oyonale.c...lang=en&page=35 Uploaded some ready made files below, place makesnow.inc in the same folder as your .pov file, then copy and paste everything from snow.txt to the bottom of the your .pov file and render, change snow settings to suit. snow.zip

So much work going into this so I had a go at adding more shine to a render. 1920x1080 -

Monster
JM1971 replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
A F1 car can be pushed with one finger they are that well balanced but a road car I dunno how much force it takes to move one, 4 XL motors is a lot of torque and those wheels are very grippy, if the driveway is inclined just right then I think its possible. -
