  1. The Carver One would suit piterx colour and style and would impress guys at lego, the leaning on these vehicles will be tricky to do because on the real thing its computer controlled.
  2. I would of thought some people from lego are registered here, maybe even lego scout forums for talent. Big companies don't always do the logical thing, boss's do not always know how their customers think and there is a good chance they will look at something and not see the potential. Big companies have one thing on their mind, "how much money is this going to make", though they would never admit it. Big companies will ignore something great if its not presented well. So you have to show lego that people find your mocs fun and "spend money" to build them. A lot of other people on these forums know lego in more detail, plus other people on these forums would like to see one of their own make it to lego, this gives people something to work for because one day they might make it too. 3. Lego could do worse than give you a job and even working from your own country, your mocs are great and your quick, I have a feeling you could improve upon them even further with more resources and time.
  4. If it had full RC I would snap that up in a second, still might do anyway when I get the F1 set sometime next year.
  5. Is the joystick parts included in the mpd part file, also is there plans to add the joystick instructions to the pdf? Still waiting for parts to arrive, looking forward to this.
  6. Alt+Printscreen Fireshot https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fireshot/ Only if you bought it, hmmm
  7. The clutch is set up to slip before gears start crunching, to keep the right scale and 4WD is not easy with lego. Older BMW's I think had something similar to stop wheel spin and oversteer?
  8. Using a clutch gear on each wheel might work as long as it slips before wheel lock.
  9. I remebered this post but never needed it until now, trying my luck in LDD with a 80's toyota hilux after watching back to the future :D It works very well, great for aligning.
  10. What about starting one of those online pertitions to lego to make the 41999 permanent, marketing people seem so distant from reality, I mean who wouldent want one? Or maybe a more friendly way to let lego know lots people want to buy this.
  11. My AAA box arrived today, first thing it surprised me how small it is and only weighs 80 grams with batteries inserted compared to the 210 grams AA box.
  12. The Titanic model comes with a iceberg, lol. http://cobi.pl/gfx/cobi2/_thumbs/en/sklep_oferta/5771/titanic-r-m-s-101-th-anniversary,1913_rgb_72ppi_back_2,k3djZatnlKiRlOvRlmRk-.jpg
  13. Well done to all entries, this comp is tough. 13: 4 16: 2 22: 4
  14. I've always wanted helical gears for lego, I know they are quieter but are they also stronger?
  15. Noticed this at first on amazon when I searched for 'lego f1', also I searched this forum and no mention of cobi. http://cobi.pl/en/to...obi-electronic/ The army guys look fun http://cobi.pl/en/toys/small-army/1-figurine-accessories-series-4,art,5031.html
  16. Same here, I ordered one on tuesday because its needed for quite a few mocs on rebrickable, also I like fast little cars like the Horace test car. Its all about power to weight so its fun experimenting with different motors and gearing. EDIT: Glad to hear its a lot faster.
  17. One use for the magnets, maybe use them to make a hovercraft.
  18. Its easy to tell what kind of planes they are, nice work. This comp is really tough so well done to everyone who made a entry.
  19. Horace, you car gave me the idea for a competition thread to build the fastest moc over a distance of 1 or 2 meters (the average distance of a kitchen floor say) There would be no time limit or prize and only standard lego allowed, you would have to upload a video for proof.
  20. Hydroelectricity is perpetual because of the sun causing rain to keep filling the dam, you just need to build a solar system out of lego :P
  21. http://www.google.com/patents/US3218489 My dad seen a linear motor when working for Herbert Morris Cranes, it fired a big sheet of metal though a wall, morris cranes has or had the patent.
  22. There is no free lunch in psychics, that's what people tell me when I think about doing perpetual motion contraptions. Someday I want to get a handful of neodymium magnets and use them for a extreme off-road suspension car.
  23. The full RC sets rekindled my interest, if they stop I'll then I wont be buying any more sets.
