  1. Holy amazingness! The shape is out of this world, I love the rear view with the trans blue tiles. So good Bob!
  2. Planet: Quantus III (H07) Tags: Octan, H07, Exploration, Space Vehicle ---------- Start Log ---------- Two weeks searching the entire planet for Awesomnium with no results, a broken landspeeder, case of Quantus Bird Flu, and just before I decide to leave this miserable place, I decide to take the new Deep Sea Exploration Sub out for a joy ride. I found a wonderful reef full of life and interesting sights, and just as I started to capture a few samples for the eggheads back on the Axle to examine, I come across it! The awesomnium is located in massive fissures in the sea floor. It may not be the easiest to extract, but the amounts here will make it worth the effort. I am taking video, collecting samples, will have a little lunch, then I am out of here! ---------- End Log ---------- Another adventure for Jacques LaRose as he explores the universe of Andromeda's Gates! More, larger photos here: https://www.flickr.c...157655629618938 Originally this was going to be a much larger scene with an observatory and much more going on, but I was sick most of the week and did not have much energy. I hope you guys like what I came up with. Enjoy!
  3. The combination of colors are really nice in this scene! Nice cargo ship as well, very Octan in look!
  4. That door and the gun are so cool! I also love the groundwork, very appealing. I just wish that those tiles went one more stud to the end of the interior, but that is just a nitpick, great work!
  5. Great work! At first it reminded me of the first submarines, which would pedal up to a ship and stick a bomb on the hull. This is like the space version, love it!
  6. Great medical bay. I love the trans blue domes, they make the room seem more spacey. Great idea!
  7. Cool scene, I like the smoke coming off the legs!
  8. The Octan floor is great, and I love that bartending bot, nice work!
  9. Great story! I love Robinhood's cycle, and the crash scene is very well done.
  10. Great work. The pictorial story is wonderful, and that tower is great. The truck has a very Fifth Element style to it, and I love that. Can't wait to see your next build!
  11. 53 credits to Bob please
  12. Cool challenge and certainly something different for me. For categories one and two, should the ship be alone in the picture, or be set into scenery of some type? If scenery is allowed, space only, or landing on a planet?
  13. cool, it looks like it can rip through any terrain.
  14. You really jammed a lot into a small scene, but it really works well. The lava has a nice sense of flow, and the base is super cool!
  15. Very alien looking tree, both in shape and color, well done! I also really like the single track design of the vehicle.
  16. Very cool truck! I might have connected the extra pipes to the truck itself to separate them from the unit, but I really like the thought.
  17. Thanks for all the feedback everyone! The purple background is actual craft paper, it is the opposite side of the blue I used last time, so much more lazy than anything else! I thought this would give the build a more "alien" feel, but maybe this one was too much. You never know until you try! Same goes for the ground, I wanted to do cracks, but wanted it to feel different than other snot landscapes I have done, so I added the random plates as spots for the biomass to grow. I can see how it may be a bit off putting, but I like it with the brown tree thingies. Creating new scenery that is both recognizable and alien is one of my biggest challenges. As for the smell, you get used to it! Thanks again everyone!
  18. That truly made me laugh out loud! It did not occur to me at all, I am a bit slow on the uptake in that way. I think you should feel honored, the smell of a locker room is the smell of hard work and determination!
  19. Jacques LaRose is feeling a bit gassy on E03: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=111879
  20. Location: Ertauq (E03) Tags: Octan, E03, Exploration, Land Vehicle ---------- Start Log ---------- Dr. Long and the scientists are going to love all the biomass samples I have collected on this planet. It is teeming with life, although I am not sure how. The cracks in the ground are huge, and the gas that is billowing out smells like the Axle locker room! My saving grace is the Land Speeder is was issued for this mission. It allows me to cruise over the terrain quickly and avoid the large gas pockets I have seen in the distance. I am almost finished here, i will report again soon. ----------- End Log ---------- Another planet explored for Jacques LaRose, intrepid explorer for the Octan Corp. Inspirational credit for the engine con trail to Paddy Bricksplitter. More, larger photos here: https://www.flickr.c...157655262483318 Enjoy!
  21. Wonderful! I love the car and the waterfall, but the base may be my favorite part. Who am I kidding, the whole thing is my favorite part!
  22. Nice work, I really like the upside down plate as ground, works very well! The door scene is well done as well, the shapes and colors work nicely, but I would try to figure out how to eliminate that gap that shows light through the wall. It kills the illusion a bit. Otherwise this is a great entry!
  23. Thanks a bunch everyone! I certainly get the Japanese vibe from this one as well, I had to hold off of putting pink flowers in the trees! The actual inspiration was the opening scene of the last Star Trek movie, with the red forest. The leaves are dark red, i messed with the color balance a bit to get this look. They are AltBrick leaves, not official ones, as are the brown leaves and grass pieces. More fun to come!
  24. So much nice stuff going on! I love the aliens and their harvesting area. Great work!
