  1. I thought that question was already answered when they released the mini-modulars set
  2. Wow, what a crazy design!!! 4000 pieces! (Nearly the same price/piece ratio as the OG Cafe Corner) I can see people wanting to mod these 3 buildings into proper 32x32 modulars. But I would imagine it would be harder to buy 2 right off the bat (would be a month's rent in some places). I should save money for one (or three)
  3. ^Yeah, would be great if you can link my post over there or quote my words
  4. What's more shameful is that now people are implying that someone like me may have in fact struck a deal with these knockoff companies. From brickset: It's sad that I have to say this, but here goes. I DID NOT TEAM UP WITH ANY KNOCK-OFF COMPANY TO GET THIS MOC PRODUCED AS A SET. I will NEVER accept any money from anyone to reproduce this set. I am in no way "aggrieved" that my MOC didn't get selected. I did not feel "rejected" by TLG. I did not build this MOC purely as an Ideas submission; I just added it later to see how far it would go. I wish I could reply directly to the guy over at Brickset but I didn't have an account and they have an archaic signup so it won't be for a while until I do so. Anyways, that's that; I didn't realize that I could be assumed as some "slighted" fellow who went to a knock-off company to get my ideas made and point across... This situation has now gone worse if my reputation is on the line. In the meantime I deleted my brickshelf files, so no more LDD LXFs for anyone.
  5. Love it! I'll prob pick one up
  6. I was really more bothered by the smaller car MOCs that I did with LDDs out there that I saw on Instagram that were posted, with no credit to me. Look, even Range Rovers are bootlegged by the Chinese. So more power to them, good luck moving 4600 pieces of fake plastic. But other individuals who pass of my creations like it's their own actually seems to feel worse. And this is a while back. Anyways, looks like this thread be hijacked.
  7. ^yeah, that's my MOC. Not sure if I should feel flattered that my thing is alongside the official things worthy of being bootlegged... (apparently other MOCs are also copied, one of which is my favorite) but like I said in that MOC's thread I'll probably reconsider sharing LDDs to anyone from here on
  8. As many pointed out, you don't need a building with ornate spires and fancy facades to make a MOC look great. This is a fantastic build! Very real-world looking.
  9. Lol. At the same time, the LDD -was- out there. And also, I saw some of the car MOCs floating on Instagram (Rolls Royce in particular) flaunting it as if it's their own (I have shared the LDD to a few). Needless to say, next time of people want a replica of my MOCs they have more than a few angles on flickr to study.
  10. I like how the mixture of old grey to new bley matches up with the real life image you provided, good job
  11. Thanks guys! I admittedly took a break from all the building since Brickworld 2016, and I've started to build the next one just recently Hopefully I can also continue to finish some of the interiors along the way!
  12. Yeah, Nvidia 368.81, and for the purposes of finding the problem everything is stock (CPU and GPU). Temps are around 37-40 C when spinning the LDD model around and such, so I don't think that's the issue either. I just put this computer together 3 days ago.
  13. Hey all, I encountered this in my new computer; when I open a large file (large being as small as a 32x16 modular building design), I get this funky image when I turn on outlines/advanced shading. Little CITY car size files open ok. Any ideas on how I can fix this, besides turning the shading off? (it's a huge help to build with oulines/advanced shading). I know it's not particularly a 4.3.9 bug since the file opens with no problems on my other older computers. It's a fairly new PC, i7-6700k, Nvidia GTX 1070 and 16GB RAM, with drivers updated. Also, using Intel integrated graphics also doesn't produce an image like this. Help is appreciated! Thanks
  14. Love the use of that windshield. Good design! One suggestion is to replace that front grille with a tile, as if to hammer home the idea of an EV.
  15. Hah, now I know who to blame when there's a shortage of 1x2 earth tone plates on BL. Great job though!
  16. Brickworld 2016 was a success! Thanks and a pleasure to meet those who chatted with me! Here's some pics of my layout, Wasabi Avenue, in force. The Avenue Residences (grey, right) is on a 64-wide baseplate and the Barnes and Noble (orange, center) occupies a similar real estate as a LEGO modular set when viewed from the front, to give a glimpse on how big One Azure is next to a LEGO modular.
  17. Just the three shown so far. The exterior is show ready but I'm still trying to finish up the sky lounge (top floor) and the gym (3rd) Started since last September

    Ronda

Your tree design is amazing. As is the rest of the set
  19. Great start! I like the qindow design, haven't seen that before. Looking forward to the complete model.
  20. Thanks very much for the support, everyone! It was a blast at Brickworld 2016! The building was a hit! Between manning the show and walking around Chicago and the 10 hr drive back, I am flat out tired! But I came away with inspirations and goals for next time. Took me 5+ years planning this thing and 9 months bricklinking it slowly I hope you liked what you saw! There are some legit insane creations there, I hope mine made an impression as well! They are supposed to be blinds; it's really for the exterior to give the facade a more realistic look as if different people actually live in the building. The building itself was fine! It just got a little scary stacking the thing on a table Thanks! Changing up the facade is a favorite building style of mine! There are some floors that I still want to show, but expect it in the future! I think the next thing I will upload is my actual layout on Brickworld, once I finish unpacking. Thanks again, everyone! Just follow my username 'wooootles' both on flickr and instagram!
  21. Thanks guys! Actually on a single grey 48x48 so you're not seeing things. It's girthier than the official sets, for sure.
  22. Hah I wouldn't be surprised if those two GTs show up in the January catalogs though. Still hoping that they get whupped by the yellow Vettes this weekend in Le Mans though
  23. Lots of love! Honored and 'appreciate the Eurobricks front page plug, thanks EB, and thanks everyone! Appreciate all the comments and feedback! I can't take images right now (boxed up and all), but it's simple if you look at the top-right, I just used 2x4 plates and a 2x4 wedge plate on top of the hinge plates to cover up the jaggedness of the floor plates. Virtually the same construction style on the bottom left (the bedroom)
  24. Thanks again, all! And the MOC is all broken down again for Brickworld! I hope the packaging engineering is successful and the MOC doesn't get destroyed on the trip
