  1. Well. The winter wave is really disappointing, Furno XL is the only one that catches my eye. And maybe Pyrox. The summer wave, on the other hand, looks really great. Might be the first time I get all the sets of the wave. Anyway, I zoomed all the way in and Surge's sword looks to be a trans yellow recolour of Pyrox's weapon. Also unfortunately Jet Rocka's wings look like the half shield pieces, just like Surge. EDIT: Take note of Dragon Bolt's wings, I'm assuming the Razar and Eris constraction sets will follow a similar design.
  2. Have you contacted Lego about the problem? I have Breez and Batman, the problem doesn't seem too obvious.
  3. My reaction exactly. It was a fun watch but it made no sense at all. Is this official, made by Lego? Also, for some reason, I lost it when I saw Surge cheering wildly. I think it's because it reminded me of the whole Breakout Evo ruckus we had going on here a while back!
  4. As I said earlier - I've hunted HF sets for the past few years already, and I know from experience that the winter HF wave hits our shores in February, earliest end January. I wouldn't bother now. To save you the trouble, you should give the store you're going to a call to check if they have the new sets in stock, or call to ask them when they'll be receiving the sets. Usually, during the week the new sets arrive, the stores will be able to give the specific day and time that the sets arrive in their shop, so you can go down then to buy the sets, if you're that eager. I've done that a few times myself, though recently I've gotten more patient and haven't been doing that. Hope this helps!
  5. Sounds interesting - never read any of those Secret Mission books before. If that's the case I would like to see a brain-controlled Stringer as a set!
  6. Odd that they'd release it on Android before iOS, hopefully it makes it to the App Store soon. Anyway, after sleeping on it, I'm calling the list fake. I suppose the summer wave is supposed to be the bigger wave - I'm thinking that Lego learned this year, and released 4 Heroes in the winter and (hopefully) 5 in the summer, rather than the other way around as with Breakout and having to delay the release of Breez/Thornraxx in some regions just to make the summer wave larger. It's strange that Stringer and Nex are not included, and Jet Rocka is an odd one out. Someone could've just made up the list based on what they saw in the trailer. EDIT: Woah. I just realized that there's seven Heroes to be featured in this year's episode, the most number of Heroes we've had in an episode!
  7. The only reason why I'm believing this to some extent is because it was posted in Brickset, which to me is fairly reliable.
  8. Considering as these guys are the ones who appear in the trailer... Eh. I might believe it. It's be cool to see a HF dragon. But NUUUUU gimme Stringer and Nex! Especially Stringer.
  9. That'll be the NYCC Toy Fair in early February. Loving the new sets. Definitely picking up the 2 smallest sets. A pity we didn't get the Balrog, but the minifigure selection is great. Hope Arwen looks good!
  10. Prelims for the summer sets for other themes have popped up, a pity the uploader didn't take pictures of the HF and Chima constraction sets, but that's to be expected, I guess.
  11. LEGOJANG also has his review of Scarox up on Youtube, if anyone's interested.
  12. Thank God for ZORK94's review. That kid sounds over-excited, and is panting like he ran home all the way from the toy store after getting the set. Couldn't continue watching after the first few sentences.
  13. Thanks for the review ZORK94! I really appreciate the pics you took showing the TECHNIC construction on Furno's back. He looks to be my favourite set this wave, especially since I love the sword/shield combo. Looks like he might need some mods to fill in his crotch and I'm not a fan of the exposed pins on his back, but the cape hides both problems well. Looking forward to getting this guy!
  14. Woohoo! Furno XL is the review I'm looking forward to the most, since it's his back construction that I can't really figure out. ZORK64, could I request in advance pictures of Furno XL without his cape from the front and back, if possible? Thanks!
  15. Why do we need to rename the topic? Anyway, I was hoping the sets would have back armour, after seeing that the Chima sets will have them. Oh well.
  16. Stormer's half shield piece looks more like an arm guard to me (which is actually just a small shield) than a blade. And since Surge is getting trans yellow shells, hopefully we get a recolour of the flame piece in that colour as well to serve as electricity. Looking forward to seeing what Surge's weapons will be like.
  17. If that's the case I hope we get a proper bird-like creature, since the Eagles and Ravens in Chima are quite humanoid. Also I just noticed Stormer has a trans blue head, which is great, since Furno looks to have an apple green head. Ugh. I don't understand why Lego couldn't give us a trans orange recolour, it'd fit Furno and Bulk much better. This wave is like Bionicle 2008 all over again, with the sets sharing the same eye colour.
  18. Thanks so much Vinyl. It's actually the new fire piece on Furno/Pyrox but in (hopefully) trans-blue. Still don't like the fact that Stormer has a half-shield, the half of the H looks really incomplete. But overall Stormer looks great. The summer wave is looking much better than the winter wave. EDIT: Ninja'ed by Jetrax99. What he said. Nope. Singapore gets the winter wave of HF sets in February every year, unfortunately, so we'll have to wait a couple of months more before we get them.
  19. Thanks for the screencaps Vinyl! Could I request one of the "heroes assembled" scene with Breez, Stormer, Furno, Rocka and Bulk, just when Stormer draws the ice blade on his half shield piece? I can't make out if that's a new piece or just the same blade used for his sword. Thanks!
  20. In my opinion the fact that Lego is continuing with both HF and Chima is proof enough that HF isn't a flop. They wouldn't continue something that isn't doing well.
  21. Ugh, I'll be away for holidays the next 5 days... Looking forward to the flood of reviews when I get back!
  22. TRU, according to FBTB. Agreed. Can't wait to get the game in the app store. Also, Furno really looks badguy-ish in the picture on the website... Beginning to get an idea of how Furno's Technic assembly is contructed. I already have some ideas on how to fill out his crotch area.
  23. Seems like the sets are released! From FBTB:
  24. I just had an epiphany - is it possible that the shield connects to the paw piece via a flick-fire missile? Also, it looks like Laval will suffer from a lack of forearms like Ogrum, given the paw pieces attach to what are supposed to be his forearms. Thanks for the clarification. I figured the "lower leg" was part of his foot. But I think the digitigrade legs are going to look weird on such a humanoid figure - XT4 pulled it off, but then again he wasn't that humanoid. In my opinion such legs work better with four-legged creatures like Fangz, but I'll have to wait and see. It's possible that these new Chima sets use the new head as well. Laval uses a gold hilt piece as well. It looks really off on Cragger since he doesn't have any gold parts. I'll probably swap mine out with the black one on Furno XL when I get him, the gold will blend in better with his flame and trans-orange pieces than on Cragger, who doesn't have much bright colours. My problem with the printed chi cores is that why aren't they centralized? It's not like Lego has trouble printing over the center portion with the indent, they did it with the Superheroes Ultrabuilds. I had thought Cragger's was printed on the left side of his chest to signify the core being placed over his heart, then I remembered that crocs aren't humans.
  25. I was wondering about Laval's odd legs as well. I think it's got to do with the fact that lions have "chicken legs" hind legs: Link to large photo I suppose Laval is supposed to have his legs bent in that way XT4 style, rather than being straight.
