  1. Speaking of Bulk, I can't seem to spot where trans-green is used on him. Lightsaber blades in the 2.0 shield piece, perhaps?
  2. Well, we'll be able to see for sure when Toy Fair comes rolling around in a few days! Anyway, I just saw the Super Bowl trailer for the Avengers. I really hope the Superheroes Ultrabuild line will continue till next year, even though I doubt that will happen. There's so much potential for so many superheroes to be made!
  3. The first wave of Breakout sets just hit Singapore. Picked up Rocka today, and I love him! The bandolier wasn't as stiff as I thought it would be, in fact, it's almost perfectly flexible. The hex energy shield is awesome. A pity none of the summer sets use this piece. I can't wait to get the other sets! (I'm planning to space them out, so I won't die waiting for summer.) Now some judgement on the summer sets: Speeda Demon and Stormer XL are okay. Not planning to get either. XT4: Has the potential to be a fairly okay set, but I'll wait for more pictures/reviews before I pass full judgement on this guy. I probably won't pick him up, though. Nex: Yucks. Bulk: I need this guy! Although I'm still not too enthusiastic about the heavy use of gunmetal, he looks okay with it. Nothing some modding can't fix. His chest pattern has definitely got to be my favourite of all the Heroes. Still curious on how his shield/rocket launcher attaches, though. Core Hunter: Am I the only one who can't seem to make out how his helmet looks? Otherwise, nice as expected. I love his colour scheme and the way he's built. Bought on sight. Voltix: An okay set. I might pick him up, but nothing impressive. Stringer: The trans-blue chest is GLORIOUS. The blue armour pieces compliment it well, and his huge launcher looks great. I can see how it resembles a guitar, but I'm not too sure how that works... Anyway, fantastic set. Bought on sight. Overall, I must say that the summer wave does have its plus points, but overall as a wave it looks to be not as good as the winter wave.
  4. The top launcher piece on Core Hunter is definitely gunmetal. Take a look at the video Jouster posted - the colour is identical to Surge's launcher behind him, and Stringer's silver launcher is much brighter. Also, I don't get why Core Hunter has too much red! I think he looks great, the designers did a really good job with the colour layering on this guy. I loved the black/red colour scheme on Skrall and Stronius, and it works great for Core Hunter. I'm also really glad to see the 2.0 shield piece in black! Unfortunately I don't have LDD - does Bulk's shoulder armour attach via the 2 shoulder balls on the torso armour?
  5. Also, it seems that the orange armour on the lower legs are 5-long, and he has a 5-long gunmetal piece on his right forearm.
  6. Can anyone make out whether Core Hunter has the regular 2.0 torso armour or the new 4.0 Hero torso piece below that chest armour?
  7. Regardless of Stringer's blue, I really hope they will change the colour of the cladding to match his torso armour.
  8. Also - is the blue on Cap a darker blue than the current one we have on Surge/Batman? It looks like it, and would make sense since Stringer seems to have a different shade of blue as well, they could share the same blue.
  9. Unfortunately, those look like size 5 shells to me.
  10. ...HF really needs more love. Both Brickset and FBTB's reports on the UK Toy Fair didn't bother with HF at all. Anyone out there who's been there and seen the new sets?
  11. Nice idea, and I like that you incorporate official parts, but these MOCs don't seem like they would be official sets, if you get what I mean.
  12. Wow. These are amazing, great job! When I first saw the title I thought you were referring to the Skakdi Nektann, then I started wondering how Lego managed to put that flexible head piece in LDD. Took me a while to realize it was the machine Nektann, and I was pleased. I love VNOG, and these really remind me of the game!
  13. Ah, okay, thanks for the info! In the video the difference is quite obvious, although I didn't notice it before in Brickthing's pictures. Doesn't seem too major.
  14. I didn't mean the 1.0 and 4.0 helmets, I meant the 4.0 helmet with the other lime green armour pieces in the set!
  15. Just saw - for people that have the set, is it true that Breez's helmet is in a darker shade of lime green than the other pieces?
  16. Not sure to the answer to this. But regarding Palpatine's Arrest and Pre Vizsla's Fighter - will we be getting pics of them at Toy Fair? EDIT: Okay, let me rephrase that. Do we usually get pics of exclusives at Toy Fair? I can't really remember the trend the past few years.
  17. From FBTB - the Marvel sets will be available in April! Hopefully this affects the Ultrabuild sets as well.
  18. Actually, I believe they're black on Core Hunter, and silver on Stringer and Bulk.
  19. Voltix is a huge mish-mash of colours - black, purple, red, and yellow. He doesn't look all that bad to me though, compared to say, Nex. Still crossing my fingers for a possible gunmetal recolour of the BP head. I'm not too bothered by the reusing of helmets as long as they're in a different colour, to differentiate them better.
  20. Thanks for the pics! I fully expect all the Heroes to have printing, though. My opinion on most of them hasn't changed. Core Hunter looks really good, though I still don't like the constant reusing of the 2.0 villain blades. Good to see that we're getting silver and black recolours of the 2.0 shield piece, though. And with so many pics of Voltix, you'd think we'd get to see his feet already! Speeda Demon is... Ehh. A little underwhelming. IMO the lime green doesn't really fit well with him. Still, it's the first vehicle done in the 2.0 system! Rejoice! Hopefully this is a sign for things to come.
  21. Well, it was mentioned that Black Phantom is the mastermind of the Breakout, so Speeda Demon being the main villain is unlikely. Maybe a badass henchman?
  22. Yeah, I noticed... But it's all we've got for now! What's wrong with Bionicle 2004? I love the Metru colours! Hopefully Lego will introduce more colours to HF.
  23. After seeing this picture in your gallery, you might be right! That's good news. The blue is definitely in a darker shade than Surge's.
  24. Hmm, just did a quick check on Bricklink, you're right! Silly me. The sets haven't arrived in my country yet - I've always assumed they were a different colour. Hmm. I guess this means Stringer will have the same coloured torso as Surge.
  25. I agree. Although I definitely would have preferred a black torso, the blue one doesn't seem all that bad to me. However, I really hope that the blue is different from that of Surge's, darker in shade preferably. It differentiates them more. Plus, with the new shades of blue we're getting in HF - Batman, Captain America - it wouldn't be hard to have a darker blue. (Personally I hope it's Batman's blue.)
