  1. Speaking of whom, I do hope we get more characters in the constraction line in the future. Would be cool to see an Ultrabuild Crominus, with some armour or even design changes to differentiate him from Cragger.
  2. VBBN's Bruizer isn't messy, it just looks sloppy because of the armour piece he added to Bruizer's chest, bad idea there. Otherwise he looks fine. If you take a look at LegoJang's Bruizer on YouTube, he has a simple yet effective solution of revamping the gimick arm, which I'll do if I get Bruizer. I agree with the review - he has a nice theme, but the execution is horrendous thanks to the gimmick. I'll probably pass on this.
  3. Thanks a bunch, the topic really helped! Found the parts I needed. A pity many bricks aren't yet available. Thanks once again!
  4. I've just downloaded LDD 4.3.5 for Mac. I've tried activating Universe mode (if I'm not wrong, this is not available, right?) as well as using the Extended mode, but I still can't find the bricks I need, specifically HF/Bionicle pieces. I'm sure some of the pieces I'm looking for have been added to LDD, such as this, but I'm unable to find them. How do I unlock those bricks? Thanks.
  5. My sentiments exactly. The winter wave is very lacklustre - except for Furno XL, who is bought on sight the moment the new sets are available in my country - but the summer wave, on the other hand, looks like one I'll get all the sets of. Just as well too, this will let me save up for the new Chima Ultrabuilds, which I'm certain I'll get all of.
  6. That's true. That slipped my mind, the SP episode was the weakest IMO. Speaking of melee weapons - I was re-watching the BA trailer and realized Breez was wielding her weapon this way: Anyway, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this - I just downloaded the latest version of LDD for Mac. I can't find many of the HF pieces, like the Breakout torso - have they not been added? I tried activating Lego Universe mode, but I can't seem to be able to unlock the new pieces.
  7. Yup, this has already been mentioned. A pity about Cragger's eye, but honestly I prefer him to have his normal eye on his constraction figure. Maybe he regains his sight in that eye in powered-up mode. As for the Wolves - I hope their paws have some variation, like using the Savage Planet claw pieces as fingers, to differentiate them from the Lions. I do hope the Chima constraction theme does well, I'd love to see more waves in the future.
  8. I just took a closer look at the Eagle card (not sure of the character's name, the card says Axcalion). You can see both his hands - as well as one wing! It looks like a single piece, probably a new mold.
  9. Still on the fence with this guy, I like his design but he looks pretty bare, like a smaller set.
  10. just2good from the Action Themes forum has kindly taken photos of some of the Chima cards: You can make out the corresponding constraction figure behind each character. Unfortunately the Raven's and the Eagle's are blocked, but one can see that the Wolves share a similar construction to the Lions. Thought these cards could give us an idea of what to expect of the sets we haven't seen, though it's not much.
  11. It just occurred to me - Surge is the only Hero this year (sans Jet Rocka) using a ranged weapon instead of a melee one. Nothing a MOC can't fix, though.
  12. My main gripe with Bulk isn't that he isn't bulky - his build is fine - it's his helmet. I hate how it looks. It's probably the mouth that puts me off the most. I understand that Lego had to give him a face since his original relied on the Glatorian head to provide his face, but this one looks atrocious. Plus, it removes the mouth guard of his original helmet, which to me is what characterises his helmet the most. Breez's face is also creepy, but to a lesser extent. I'm so glad they didn't do this with Surge, and covered up his mouth instead.
  13. Thank you so much! Do you mind if I post these in the Action Figure forum? All credit to you, of course.
  14. Woah. That soon? That's good to hear! I'm assuming the rest of the show comes after? The website says TV series, after all.
  15. Wow. That trailer was amazing. Thanks once again for the screenshots, Vinyl. Surge and Dragon Bolt are definitely the stars of the summer wave for me. Surge being the first time he's getting a large-sized set, looks really sweet. I'm getting a huge Matoran-to-Toa vibe from him because of this. Loving all the trans yellow that's replaced the lime green of his Breakout form. His weapon is a little disappointing, but nothing that can't be modded. I only hope his face doesn't turn out as atrocious as Bulk's, or Breez's. Dragon Bolt is sweet. Loving the fact that he's a titan, so many great parts on him. My only gripe is the Technic assembly at his mouth - seriously, Lego? Couldn't you have found a better way to attach the lightning pieces? It really ruins the flow of his otherwise perfect design. Hopefully it'll be removable. I can't for the life of me make out how Aquagon looks like. From what I gathered from the trailer, he's humanoid, with a circular Pyrox-ish face, and has clawed Piraka feet. Jet Rocka looks great, as to be expected. Nice to see that his wings are Kopaka Phantoka's instead of the new HF shield pieces, else he'd just be a bulked out Surge. Overall the summer wave is shaping up to be fantastic, and blows the winter wave away. The winter wave was really disappointing, but I think I might get all the sets of the summer wave. I'm slightly more sad about the absence of Stringer and Nex - seeing this trailer makes me think about what could've been. Oh well.
  16. No problem, thanks once again! Glad to see the site is up, has it been announced when the show will start to air?
  17. Surge is definitely a large set, his bag is the same size as Stormer's and Frost Beast's, and is larger than Evo's, who is a small set. Jet Rocka reminds me of Jetwing Optimus Prime from DOTM, and the way he grips his jetpack reminds me of Turaga Dume and Nivawk!
  18. I see, that's a pity. I'll see for myself when I get the new sets in hand. Thanks! I'd imagine that the head, if used horizontally, would be too short - meaning that there would be less colour in the eyeholes of the Bionicle masks, if any at all.
  19. Hello just2good, thank you for the offer. I don't need you to scan them - just pictures will do! I'm more interested in the Chima Ultrabuilds really. If it's possible I'd like pictures of the cards that are similar to this one: http://farm9.staticf...c820c3ee9_o.jpg (photo credit: WhiteFang). I'm referring to the card in the middle, in the top row. It basically shows a Chima minifig with its respective constraction figure as some sort of energy being in the background. Based on video reviews I've seen, each Speedorz set comes with such one such card corresponding to the particular figure. I'd really appreciate it if you could take pictures of such cards from the Wolf, Raven, and Eagle Speedorz sets. Just one card per set! If it's possible. I think it might shed some light on the Chima Ultrabuilds to come in the summer. (I can already make out parts of a set from one of the Wolf cards I saw in a video review.) Thanks once again!
  20. Wow. Getting REALLY pumped for this theme after watching that. Can't wait for the TV show that is to come.
  21. Ugh, pardon the multiple posts, but my mind was suddenly hit with a wave of questions. I'll post them all here. 1) For those who already own Pyrox or Furno XL: How long, length-wise, are the new flame pieces in terms of axle units? 2) For the New York Toy Fair veterans - which day (i.e. first/second/third/fourth) are the Lego sets usually revealed / pictures are uploaded on the web? This year's is from 10-13 February. 3) Are the new heads compatible with Bionicle masks? If it's possible, for those who have them - how do they look? EDIT: By "compatible" I mean look good. Thanks in advance.
  22. Yup, this is what I meant by axle units. Aren't red axles 2? And do you own Pyrox/Furno XL? Anyway, for the New York Toy Fair veterans - which day (i.e. first/second/third/fourth) are the Lego sets usually revealed / pictures are uploaded on the web? This year's is from 10-13 February, and since I have to enlist for the army on the 14th (not accounting for GMT), I'd like to have some pictures to tide me over the first couple or so weeks I'm stuck in camp.
  23. It just occurred to me that Jet Rocka is basically Surge on steroids. (I was going to say Surge XL, but it's Rocka's backpack that's XL, not him.) Also, quick question for those who already own Pyrox or Furno XL: How long, length-wise, are the new flame pieces in terms of axle units? Thanks in advance.
  24. I think that each tribe uses the same generic build for their constraction figure. Can't really tell from pictures though, since they're all so small, but from what I can tell both the wolf and eagle (and hence I'm assuming raven) tribes use the BP chest piece. The wolves look like they share a similar hand design as Laval.
  25. Does anyone have a link to a link/website with pictures/scans of all the Chima cards?
