LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Aethersprite replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Could the Utapau BP be in the same format as the Saleucami one, having figures from both sides? Since we're already getting Neyo in the Saleucami BP, we could see maybe Cody, a 212th trooper, or a crab droid in the Utapau one. And what would be the point of adding a joint there, exactly? It wouldn't add much poseability to the figure, and only make it more flimsy. -
I do hope we get a new, updated ARC-170. I missed the past 2 versions, and it'll be 4 years since its last release!
-
Oops, let me link it up to a proper image site. EDIT: Here you go. I'm actually tempted to pic up Chi Razar (I was already planning on skipping him) just to check this out, but my budget is bursting for this month already. Maybe next time.

There's a Lego event at a mall near my home and they're giving out those keychains to anyone who visits the HF booth. There's sort of a play area where kids can make HF MOCs from a huge bucket of HF parts from the summer sets. (It's kinda easy for anyone to steal some of the pieces there... Hmm.) Anyway, at the aforementioned event, there were some sets on display, including CHI Razar. Link: http://sg3-attach.ymail.com/sg.f1932.mail.yahoo.com/ya/securedownload?mid=2_0_0_3_3512_ADOwCmoAAAcbUhS%2FAgGh%2BGemc4Y&pid=2&fid=Draft&inline=1&cred=_R7qlrrNCHXMpqYIKKQXCIHdPk2Sxz9UoPOt.7UZg.hXiWA-&ts=1377091579&partner=ymail&sig=43ZvwdApf5uG8fRJng5wMg-- (Pardon me, I'm not really good at uploading images, so here's a link to my email instead.) If you look at Razar's upper arms (and on his wings as well), you'll notice the 3-size armour pieces are transparent, in the same colour as some windscreens from Lego City sets. Last time I checked, those pieces were supposed to be solid black. Has anyone encountered these pieces? I'm pretty sure the set wasn't a prototype, Lego isn't quite a big thing in my country, so most of the sets on display were most probably built out of the box.

Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)
Aethersprite replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action Figures
So the Chima 2014 set list just got leaked, and these caught my eye: Legend Beasts 70123 Lion Legend Beast 70124 Eagle Legend Beast 70125 Gorilla Legend Beast 70126 Crocodile Legend Beast 70127 Wolf Legend Beast Note that this is pure speculation on my part, which is why I haven't created a specialized topic for this. But could these be 2014's Chima constraction sets? Sure we don't have any indication that the Chima constraction line is continuing, just something that came to mind. -
LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Aethersprite replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Definitely getting Anakin's JSF and Grievous' bike! Their small sizes make them very affordable, too. The new chibi fighters are quite cute as well, might consider getting them! -
I guess I'll be able to live with it, but I'll give it a shot. No harm in sending an email. Having printing that's off-center usually isn't much of a problem, but in this case it affects the position of the eye holes, Lego might have overlooked that.
-
I can live with Stormer's since it barely fits over the bottom of his eyes, but Surge's is terrible. It covers about half his eyes when you look at it head-on. You can even see the gap at the lower part of the visor, where the print is supposed to meet the tip of the visor piece, there's an empty gap instead.
-
I just bought Surge and Stormer, and I've encountered a common problem: The printing on both their visors is too high, such that it covers up the eye holes on the helmet, ruining the looks of two otherwise great figures. Has anyone faced a similar problem? Any idea if I can get replacements from Lego? I own Furno XL, and his visor's printing is perfect.
-
Just got Surge today, and unfortunately the printing on his visor sits a little too high such that the eye holes on the visor are slightly higher than those on his helmet. A small flaw though, otherwise he's a really fantastic set!

I'm with you on this. I'm already on the fence with DB, and the higher price just puts me off.
-
Yeah, Jet Rocka's $10 more expensive than Speeda Demon over here as well. Sigh. Anyway, speaking about Dragon Bolt, does his brain glow well in the dark? I've asked this before, but hopefully someone out there has pictures of it in the dark!
-
So the summer wave just hit my country, and I found something odd: Dragon Bolt costs $10 more than Furno XL. Which is weird, since the small and medium sized sets of the summer wave cost exactly the same as those of the winter wave. I've always assumed they were the same price, or is this the case as well in other countries?

Thanks for the review! I love that this set is a refined version of Hulk/Stormer XL, and it pulls it off very well. And I have to say that he does look very odd without the stickers on his chest!
-
Thanks for the review! For me, Laval's a weaker set compared to his clone, Worriz. I wish they'd have stuck with the original head we saw in the prelims, it looked much more menacing.
-
Thanks for the review! Still on the fence about this set, I'll get him if I have spare funds left. The figure itself is pretty standard, but the wings and all that purple really make him stand out for me.
-
Thanks for the review. This is the weakest set in the wave IMO, with no outstanding parts and a pretty "meh" design. The head isn't very attractive as well, it reminds me of a chicken! I'll definitely be getting Razar over this one.
-
Thanks for the review! I love the poses you have Cragger in, they're way better than mine. The opening jaw definitely adds a ton of expression to this set.
-
Thanks for the review! Worriz is my favourite of the Chima Ultrabuilds. His colours and overall design complement each other well, and he pulls off the fierce-and-spiky look excellently.
-
Thanks for the review ZORK! Surge's my favourite Hero of the wave; in fact, he's my favourite Brain Attack set. I don't like his weapon though, I'll try to think of a way to mod it.

Thanks for the review! I agree that this iteration of Stormer is the best. I'm glad the backpack assembly is removable, it looks really out of place for me.

I second this. I don't really like how the jaw of the new helmet is connected to the mouth portion of the inner helmet, unlike the original.

Thanks for the review, great pictures as usual. I was on the fence about this set, but now I think I won't be getting it. Unlike Furno Bike or Speeda Demon, the Technic assembly here isn't covered up as well, and looks really messy. The splash of colours don't help it look good as well. It's not a bad set, just not worth the steep price tag for me. Interesting poll you have there, by the way! The vehicle definitely is more important for me. After all, it's the main part of the set. What I loved about the Bionicle vehicles of 2008/2009 is that they placed emphasis on the vehicles, whilst the figures are mostly rehashes of current characters. After all, don't we already have so many action figures to pilot our vehicles with? The HF line so far has been quite disappointing with their vehicle lineup. Hopefully we'll see something better next year.
-
That's disappointing. I was hoping the glowing white piece would have some nice light up effect on the brain.
-
Thanks! I've watched a couple of video reviews, but none of them seem to mention this feature, which is odd.
