  1. I haven't caught up with the latest episodes yet - but have all the 2013 sets start to appear in the show?
  2. I'm assuming Brain Attack will continue for Summer 2013, for the sole reason that none of the current villains look like the "boss". I'm guessing Lego has learned with Breakout to release the final baddie in the Summer wave instead.
  3. For Bionicle fans out there - don't the new sword pieces remind you of the Toa Inika swords?
  4. The eagle jet is really growing on me - at first I didn't like how blocky and fat the legs look, but now I realize it's like that to support the set!
  5. Ah, I see - but haven't all the Superheroes sets been revealed?
  6. Wait, so Lego has teased 2013 Ultrabuild sets? This is the first time I'm hearing of this.
  7. I haven't gotten a CW Yoda yet, and seeing this reminds me - does Yoda's rubber head have the same problem with Dobby, where the printing rubs off easily?
  8. Another problem I have with the mech is that the cockpit just sits way too low for my tastes. I'll try to mod it when I get it. But definitely, my favourite set of the wave.
  9. That's a real pity. The lack of HF sets this time around is quite obvious, with the end of the Ultrabuild line.
  10. So this is essentially crocs vs birds vs lions vs wolves? Sounds ridiculous. Just like Ninjago. Which is awesome. I do wonder how those bike-thingys work. They look like a single piece though, disappointingly.
  11. Nice pics! Only the BARC speeder and the AT-RT really appeal to me though.
  12. Probably just an oversight on the website's part. No word on the HF style figures we're supposedly getting with these?
  13. I don't think pictures for the Chima sets have been revealed yet.
  14. The only Technicfest I see in Brain Attack is Scarox and possible Furno's torso, but that's about it. Speaking of Furno - his torso looks like it's going to be incredibly gappy. I don't like how the bone pieces that connect the 3-long trans-orange armour pieces are just hanging there. The cape would probably make it less obvious but it's still a pain to see. Great idea! One of my favourite things about Breakout Rocka is his awesome crossbow. I would do that, but my Stringer still wants his guitar.
  15. Ah, I see - double misunderstanding! I meant that I thought Breez uses those plus shaped pins to connect her weapon, but I get what you guys mean now. It can be stable, but it still wobbles. That's a pity. I've always thought those Atlantis fins use plus shaped pins for attachment.
  16. Honestly I'd rather not see mechs in HF - robots piloting robots? If I wanted a mech I'd go for a Lego action theme. After all, the whole point for getting a mech is for the humanoid articulation, which we're already getting in HF. But that's just me. What I meant about vehicles like those from 2008/2009 wasn't that I'd like to see vehicles in those styles, but the creativity that went into those designs, which I think the 2010 HF vehicles managed to pull off a bit. EDIT: People have been complaining that Breez's weapon isn't secure - I don't see where on it that uses minifig rather than Technic pins?
  17. I'm sure we'll see Furno's shield piece reused for the summer, maybe in Stormer. I do hope we see some cool unique vehicles, like the Bionicle ones in 2008/2009.
  18. Has it been confirmed that Legends of Chima will have HF style figures? If so, that's another thing to look forward to.
  19. Bruizer looks like his right arm might connect in a way similar to Furno's. Could it be possible that there's an additional bone piece connected to the ball joint for the arm on the torso, to give the armour piece an attachment point? On Ogrum, his helmet reminds me too much of the Gamorrean guard from Star Wars. It looks like a fat boar! His brown does match the dark green nicely, though. But I agree that all those Piraka minifig backbones are a little odd. Also, Furno seems to be the only Hero whose new design aligns better with his fiery theme than his Breakout self!
  20. Nice to see we're getting so many new recolours, looking forward to the dark red. A pity about Pyrox's lower legs, I have no idea why they used the bones for the thighs/upper arms as lower legs. Really hinders the articulation of the feet. But it's an easy fix. Anyway, still on the fence on Ogrum. On one hand he has a crazy array of new recolours, and I like his overall design, but his face is way too organic looking for my taste. It really puts me off on the set. Yup, strong is the word - Breakout Bulk is really the definitive version of the character.
  21. Is the red on Pyrox regular red or could it be Metru red? It looks darker to me, especially if you compare it to the colour of the red spikes on his claw-arm.
  22. Actually, Breakout Bulk didn't have a bulky torso. It was those shoulder pieces that, somehow, make his silhouette much more imposing. With the exception of Furno, the Heroes are really lacking this time compared to their Breakout counterparts. That said, Rocka's simplicity is nice and Breez is interesting, but Bulk seems just plain lazy to me. I also can't stand Bulk's helmet - he looks like he has teeth!
  23. With my thoughts cleared now - it really seems Furno XL is the only interesting Hero put out. I can't wait to get him! Can anyone figure out what's going on with his torso? It looks like he's using a longer torso skeleton piece such that his torso armour sits up too high, and he uses those new Technic-ball connectors Stormer 4.0 introduced for side armour, which looks out of place because it juts out so much. Rocka, Breez and Bulk are all boring. And the use of silver reminds me of how much the black feet were used for the summer Breakout sets. I'm glad it's silver and not gunmetal, I'm so sick of gunmetal. On to the villains - Ogrum's face does not belong in the realm of HF. It's too organic-looking for me. Bruizer looks good, Scarox and Pyrox give off the vibe of uninspired sets. On a whole, I'm very pleased to see all the new parts and recolours, but the sets themselves are disappointing. My first impression with the two waves of Breakout were good and they haven't disappointed. Here's hoping the summer brings us better sets, or the winter sets grow on me.
  24. I don't really know what to think... None of the Heroes, sans Furno XL (who looks INSANELY AWESOME, especially that sword shield combo) really excite me. My first thought with Breeze and Rocka is how I'm going to use their parts to upgrade their Breakout incarnations. Bulk is lame, unfortunately. I loved all his previous incarnations until now. The villains, on the other hand, are slightly underwhelming, but are unique and interesting nonetheless. I'll get a better look tomorrow morning when I get my thoughts sorted. Spazzing over all the new set reveals. And on a side note, the new Kai mech for Ninjago uses some HF elements. Just something interesting.
  25. On another note, could I request a mod add the red Hau badge to my profile? :) I don't have my exact post percentages but I hardly venture out of this forum so I can safely say that I meet the requirement. Thanks in advance!
