  1. Ah, yes. Also, while Uniter Onua's mask is a great design and update to Master Onua's, it's not very G1 Onua-ish in essence. It reminds me more of the Great Ruru.
  2. That seems like the most plausible explanation. Still, an easy fix. Onua looks to be my favourite Toa, along with Kopaka! His mask is one of my favourite of the 2016 masks. The silver meshes very well with the black.
  3. Crossing my fingers for Boba Fett and Rex. The former shouldn't be too hard given that the Mandalorian helmet mold already exists, and I'm convinced Lego can pull off a nice kama for the latter after seeing what they've done with capes for the upcoming TFA sets.
  4. I love gunships, and this is awesome! Looks like an improved version of the Coruscant Police Gunship. Very nice.
  5. I agree. I want to see build photos. But with these reviews it's not that bad, as these are the first looks we're getting of the new sets. If I'd seen other reviews before BZP's, then I wouldn't be bothered to read them. Looking forward to your reviews, VBBB!
  6. It's a bit messy, but I like it! Loving that Astray Red Frame you got there as well!
  7. I think you're right. The Creatures are different, so they're more welcome. I'm hoping the summer Beasts have more great functions!
  8. Just read BZP's review of Terak. The empty balljoints and the loose gears are a pity, but everything else looks pretty good! The Creatures seem to be the highlight of the wave.
  9. I don't mind all of Tahu's gold... But ugh. Those shoulderpads. I wish Lego would've molded them in gold and trans-orange (for the "clothey" parts) to make them look like they're on fire, at least. And I love the new Hau! I'll definitely be displaying my Tahu with the red Hau, not just because it'd give him a much-needed boost in red, but also because I love how the red meshes with the silver. Thanks for the pictures, DV! Looking forward to your review.
  10. Any word on that upcoming A-Wing? If it's a Rebels version, here's hoping that it comes with Ahsoka (see the latest ep of Rebels)!
  11. I want Akida and Ketar. In fact, I think Ketar’s my favourite of the Creatures. Akida appeals to me because I’m a sucker for underwater creatures. Akida itself is very uninteresting, but it shines when paired with Gali – giving her a tail and twin Blastoise shoulder cannons. Ketar, on the other hand, is an excellent standalone set. He’s a great parts pack, for one. He comes with a pair of both the new crystal blade and crystal shell add-on. The other Creatures come with only either of the two, and poor Akida doesn’t come with either. Ketar also gets some nice recolours (beast claws, and a seemingly unnecessary but completely welcome tan Vorox armour). His function is unique and fun too. However, Ketar fails when it comes to his combiner. All the other Creatures at least add something to their respective Toa when combined; Ketar just looks like he’s sitting awkwardly on Pohatu’s back. And when you activate his function, I’m guessing he looks like he’s flailing his arms in a desperate attempt to escape Pohatu. That said, I’m getting all the Creatures because I love Rahi-type builds. I’ve been clamouring for more diverse non-humanoid builds since the CCBS rolled around, and though the Creatures are pretty Technic-heavy, they’re still a welcome change from the pantheon of humanoid CCBS builds that we’ve been getting lately. tl;dr Ketar is a great standalone set but sucks as a combiner.
  12. I'm getting all the Creatures (and by extension, Kopaka - it's a good thing that he's my favourite of the 2016 Toa, so I'd be getting him anyway); Tahu, because Tahu+Ikir is my favourite of my combiners, and maybe Umarak and Onua, if I have the space left.
  13. Apparently Brickset has some NK sets already, and they'll be posting reviews starting this weekend! http://brickset.com/...alendar-Reviews
  14. That's extremely detailed. Thanks for that! Huh. So it seems Onua retains his broadness, though some of that is (proportionately) taken away by his taller height. Still, nice to see. I'm not too bothered by his "decreased bulk" unlike a lot of people.
  15. Huh. Alright, thanks for that. That's good to know! Kopaka and Melum will be the first set I pick up. I intend to space out getting the rest of the Creatures.
  16. What? We'll never know when exactly we'll get info. How much is MMvSG in the US, by the way? It's $50 in my country, and my country usually directly doubles the US price. Hard to swallow if Kopaka and Melum is more expensive than MMvSG.
  17. Melum's not that inferior; as quoted below, he does have a different function than Terak, which is really nice. I'm not saying that just because his arms/claws/legs are less beefy than Terak, he should be significantly cheaper. But you can't deny that sans function, he's basically a downgraded Terak. Yeah, I think Aanchir pointed this out earlier. It's really nice; I'm glad Lego did this to differentiate the two.
  18. I could see Kopes as a $20 Toa, but Melum seems to be a "downgraded" version of Terak, so he's definitely not a $10 Creature. Disappointed on that part.
  19. I guess Kylo's more expensive than Phasma because of his gearbox. Thanks for the info!
  20. Takodana looks amazing! The set itself is boring, but the minifigs are perfect. Any word on its US pricing? You could link to them.
  21. My favourite is Tahu + Ikir, followed by Umarak + Uxar.
  22. Don't know about the others Shakar mentioned, but Hiroshi Kamiya famously did Captain Levi from Attack on Titan, and (my personal favourite) Tieria Erde from Gundam 00.
  23. Uhh... Nope. Hiroshi Kamiya would be my pick for Kopaka. I think he'd pull off Kopaka's bored, cold, I-want-to-work-alone vibe really well. (Then again, he's my favourite Jap VA, and Kopaka's my favourite Toa, so... )
  24. How is Finn's head connected to the torso? Does the new back armour come with a ball joint attachment, or is that a rendering error?
