Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Aethersprite replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm glad I don't yet own a Quinjet, but I do hope the new one has at least a decently sized interior despite its small size. -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

I'd like to know this too; that's terribly exciting! Hopefully we get a nice variation of clones and a new commander. -
A problem I've had with CCBS cloth pieces so far (I have Furno XL's cape, and Sir Fangar's tattered cape) is that they come out of the box creased, seemingly folded into quarters. With the more prevalent use of cloth pieces in this year's Star Wars sets, I'm curious if anyone has tried ironing cloth pieces they got from Lego to remove the creases? I'd like to try it myself, but I'm afraid that there'll be disastrous side effects, like the cloth burning up for not being suitable for ironing.

I think an Easter egg like this to connect both universes in some small way is nice fanservice, but I think it should remain as such. It's not excessive, and hopefully Lego doesn't pander it out too much to link both timelines together.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Aethersprite replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
IMO Zuvio is as obscure to me as Max Rebo or Aurra Sing. It's a shame that he was cut from TFA, but he is a canon character and appeared somewhere in the background on Jakku. I mean, come on - we've had stuff like the TIE Defender in Lego! Anything is possible. I do hope we get the Quadhopper somewhere down the line! It'd be a nice way to include some side characters that appeared on Jakku as well. -

That's incredible! Any pictures of the interior, or the ship in flight mode?- 24 replies

The Incredibles?! It's my favourite Pixar movie ever, yay! Here's hoping we get the rest of the family, whether in this wave or future ones.- 4,155 replies

I think Lance's Robo Horse is great! Might be the only NK set I buy other than the King's Mech. I'm not sure why people are hating on it.

I love ships with a nice interior, and this blows the official Lego set away! I wish that had more space. Well done! -

I love that art style! Translates the sets from toy form to a more "solid" look, while staying very true to the sets. I can't wait! Hopefully we get plenty of episodes.

Thanks for the review. I love Onua! He and Kopaka are my favourite Toa of the wave - maybe the only 2 Toa I get. Love the mask, and I don't mind his narrower shoulders. What irks me is the asymmetrical arms (and, yes, the fact that we got shafted a purple bone), but that's easily fixed. Can't wait to get him!

Agreed. I'd like if she came with the Rebels A-Wing, but the Rebels command ships are pretty good-looking as well! -
Star Wars Constraction 2016 Discussion

Boba Fett confirmed! Same here. The Resistance figures have very nice torso builds and a ton of more interesting/recoloured/nice pieces, but I just don't like their faces. As a non-MOCist I'll stick to the FO sets. -
LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Aethersprite replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
So it seems Lego was right after all, in that the "cannons" on the top of the FO TIE are actually antenna (as Lego said they were), not cannons, which we (and many other toy brands) thought was a cannon. (http://i.imgur.com/6AdTNFp.jpg) Looks like our disappointment that the "cannon" didn't swivel was unfounded after all! -

Thanks for the review! My favourite creature, along with Ikir. And I agree, I love that he gives off Bohrok vibes!

Glad I'm not the only one. It's tolerable for CCBS sets but when I have to build a big set like the UCS Slave I... I think I spent as much time aligning the pins as I did fixing bricks together. On hip joints (and joints in general, actually) I've found that they become tighter over time. I don't usually take my sets apart, though, so this might not be the case for frequent MOCists.

Thanks for that! 2015 Onua is one of my all-time favourite Bionicle sets as well. The Uniter version isn't all that bad. I quite like it, in fact (second to Kopaka for me), and I think it's a great set. It just doesn't match up with its 2015 iteration. I don't mind that Onua has lost his broadness - but I do wish that they'd fill up the gap in his shoulders more. The Bohrok teeth are nice, but not enough. Oh, dear. That's me too. Am I the only one who makes sure I align all my pins exactly as they appear in the instructions, and place my bone pieces such that the plastic nub marks all face backwards?

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Aethersprite replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
I do hope the new Quinjet has a substantial interior. The Quinjet itself appears to be smaller than previous iterations, though; that worries me. I missed out on the 2012 Quinjet and skipped the AoU version because its interior space was really pitiful... Here's hoping the new Quinjet has a nice interior, like the Milano and the 2012 Quinjet! -

Woohoo! With the Rebels A-Wing, perhaps? She piloted one in the show! Thanks for that info, nrg! Made my day. Now all we need is a Rebels Rex! -
Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Aethersprite replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
So that rumoured 4th CW set now needs to have Vision, Spidey, Hawkeye, and Zemo... That's a stretch. I really hope we get Vision and Hawkeye, to round off the teams. Although Spidey is pretty much a guaranteed inclusion, given that he's Lego's favourite... -
Angry Birds 2016 Rumors & Discussion
Aethersprite replied to Lordofdragonss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I won't be getting these sets, but they turned out a lot better than I expected. I'm loving the modular nature of that castle set! -
Thanks for the review. I don't get the love for Lewa, unfortunately. There's just too much silver on him; I wish he'd kept some Keetorange. That said, the trans-green crystal piece looks great, and so does the sword. Pass for me!

Star Wars Constraction 2016 Discussion
Aethersprite replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Thanks for that mini-review, Logan! It deserves its own thread, IMO. I'm loving that diversity in torso build, and the cloth piece looks great. Unfortunately, I still can't shake off that uncanny vibe I get from human characters. I'll see if it grows on me! Also, Brickset has a review of Kylo Ren up: (http://brickset.com/article/18278/(spoiler-free)-review-75117-kylo-ren) (Coincidentally, quite possibly the first review by CapnRex101 that doesn't have "in my opinion" in the text ) The helmet is excellent as expected, and I love how the gear piece isn't obtrusive at all.
