True but there is still internal XL motor protection :) Without all protections it could deffinatelly go with 12:20 ratio, but the U joints would suffer a lot. -

I would still need that many battery boxes (1 per 2 motors) so there wouldnt be any real advantage. -

First of all there is no abolutely flat surface anywhere. Second, the truck overcame the friction needed to pull a vehicle no matter if there even would be a slight slope, you have to overcome static friction.... -

Or just build a 4x4 version..Should be simple, just remove the frontmost and rearmost axle :D -

4 More motors wouldnt be such a problem..The steering mechanism would have to have another odd gear ratio, like 20:28 for front axle... And i would need 2 more receivers and battery boxes....could be possible IMO
