  1. Are those top panels connected with only one blue pin?
  2. To me it looks like the crawler has independent suspension on all wheels. On top of that, the whole front axle can rotate using the turntable.
  3. Does the spider crane have a ( black ) 3 x 7 beam in the boom?
  4. No video yet, but if you go to "view all sizes" ( click the arrow pointing down ) on this image , you get an animated gif.
  5. Oh cool! I also made one a while ago, but I think you beat me with the looks.
  6. My 8 speed gearbox. It uses the both the old ( as in the Porsche ) as the new gear selecters.
  7. I don't like the (blue) 24 - 20 gear combo. Is this for the reverse? This is how you destroy your gears. I don't know how much space there is but i have two possible solutions ( I prefer the left one because I try to avoid using 8t gears ):
  8. Not very realistic I gues but pretty strong. Will be tricky to build this into the Chiron.
  9. Friction less pins might help but it if you want to do it right, the whole front needs a compleet re-build. I have a - pretty crazy - idea in mind, will try to post an LDD screenshot later on.
  10. Does anyone have an idea how that thing below the door is connected to the door?
  11. From that first video, I think there will be three. No new parts needed for it. It wil use three 24z gears to drive them.
  12. Looking at the instruction images on the leaked pics, I can only see three driving rings. So no 8 gears but 6 or so?
  13. Looking at the rear suspension, it's a bit weird that the U-joint is not on the same height as the pivot point. Also will it have 4 x 4? where should that mid diff go?
  14. In that very first announcement trailer, is there a - new - white clutch gear next to the driving ring? It's way to blury to be 100% sure, so it oculd easily be one of these. But why put that gear next to the driving ring, this model will be huge so there should be plenty of room somewhere else for it
  15. Does someone know if the new power functions 2.0 uses the "old / current" connecting plugs or new ones like for example from the Boost set? Supporting the old ones would make sense. However, with new ones LEGO would "force" people to buy / upgrade all there motors ( so more money for LEGO ).
  16. I hope the front suspension is better then the one from the Porsche. That big curved part on the side could also be made with the new mudguard panel, combined with some 5x2x1 panels.
  17. If I am correct the new 12z worm gear should fit with new 60z turntable this way: Place on each INSIDE of the light grey parts of the turntable a beam. Between these put the new worm gear. SO, the worm gear is one stud higher then the tooth from the turntable. Maybe someone who has them both can take a picture?
  18. In the telehandler their might be this one but with axles. Could offcourse also be this one but that would be pretty stupid.
  19. Thank you all for your nice comments! The gearbox is made with regulair parts. only for the mirror I used unusual parts. Like ddeklerk already said, it's indeed this part. Maybe that the link mechanic could be a bit smaller, but I needed all the space above it for the gears. The animated gif was made with LDD and Gimp. With LDD, just move and rotate all the parts a bit for each frame and take screenshots. I think a used about 20 different frames for this one.
  20. Hi everybody, This is my entry for the Porsche contest! It features: - working steering wheel and HOG steering - full independent suspension - 5 + R gearbox using a link system - opening doors and hood The gearbox mechanic: Animated gif, switching from 3 to 4 to 5:
  21. Does the model needs to be an existing model, or can it also be a fantasy based model ( that would look if it was made bij Porsche )? And will the second option highly decrease my chances?
  22. That some great gear selector you have built there! I also did came up for the idea to using the belt wheels to obtain 6 speeds instead of 4. But I only did build a gearbox, not a gear selector. As I wasn't sure if the whole thing would work precise enough I put it aside. I did have some doubts if it was possible to select two gears at one? But after seeing your video I might give it another try.
  23. For the wheel covers you could also use this: Link to larger image. It's a perfect fit but you may need the new rims versions with six holes. It's also sturdier dan it looks on this picture.
  24. Amazing moc, amazing video! It's Mahjqa.
