42056 - Porsche Speculation

What is that technic changeover catch left from the steering wheel supposed to do? You can see it on the picture with the doors open. It's in a very weird position. -

I like the new short panels. Also the rims seems to have the pivot point more in the center ( but not 100% sure about this, need ot see better pictures ). -

This one in black but it is not new. In fact it appeared in 2014. But as it was in only one set ( 70163 ) I think a lot of people ( including myself ) may have missed it.- 5,466 replies

It looks like the new turntable has no teeth at the inside. You can see that in the last video I think.

42043 Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245

Edit: In the circle there goes a 12z to the turntable. Also, at the rear, they use the grey springs for the suspension instead of the yellow ones. -
I actually think that it might be possible that it can steer: On the foto you can only be sure that the left axle is driven by the 12 - 20 bevel combo. You can't see ( at least I can't.... ) if that same 12 - 20 also drives the right track. I think / hope it only drives the left track and that there is at the back end a similar constronction for driving the right track. In the center there seems to be more then enought room for a driving ring construction to switch between forward-backward and turning. The motorisation would then be a bit similar to the 42009 mobile crane. In the superstructure there would be - I gues - two driving rings that control four functions: 1 - operating the boom 2 - moving the grapper up and down 3 - rotating the superstructure 4 - "activating" the tracks: so it goes through the turntable and there you can control another driving ring for switching between forward-backward and turning

You can also use + . These things work with the same angles as angle-connectors and have been used in LBG in 2014 sets. In fact the combination of these can sit next to a beam and wil be able to place in any position. An angle connector wont fit all the time as the "pin-hole" part will hit the beam in some positions. Example: connectors good and bad fit by jovlem, on Flickr

@Sariel Can you use the driving ring extension with the new 3 long driving rings? -
Do you mean they are on one side and like these panels ( 5x2 ) and on the other one side like these panels ( 3x2 )?

@Lipko Go ahead! I forgot to mention in my previous post - but I also think it is pretty clear - that if you want to use this system in the Tumbler, you gonna have to completely rebuild the whole front ( and also wil need to make some changes to the styling parts ).

SBrick General Discussion

Congratulations for hitting your primary Kickstarter target! For stretch goals I would mainly focus on hardware. I am pretty sure things like a profile designer and chip tuning are amazing but these are software and can be upgraded after release ( after you made some money by selling some of them ). Upgrading hardware after launch is a bad thing you most likely do not want. For design, I would like to have some extra pin/cross holes on the sides to have some extra attach options ( this also irritates me with the PF reciever ). I dont know if it is already implented yet but support for mindstorms would also be very handy. I am not a Minstorms builder myself but I if you want to use more then four motors in a model you already need two mindstorms sets. So a solution with the Smartbrick will be far cheaper. WeDo support would also be nice.- 771 replies

I love the overall shape of this model, but I think you placed the seats too much to the outside ( nine studs between them ). I think because of that the view for the driver is a little blocked by the style from the front window. For the rest this model is pretty much perfect ( as usual )!

Efferman's Custom Parts

Why did you make that 20 tooth clutch gear non bevel? A bevel version would be far more usable ( at least for me ). -

A 20 tooth ( thick ) clutch gear would be extremely useful. -

Does anybody now if these parts fit correctly? If yes, the next parts could also fit: or or used with
