  1. Tarkin is the only one who isnt overpriced at the moment
  2. That is beautiful. Sleek, elegant, and more importantly accurate in a way I didnt think possible in lego
  3. Rushmore, the play scenes always kill me!
  4. I am so sorry Australia. Ouch that is pricey. I will never complain about prices again, unless they get that bad.
  5. Sorry about that, just added the rest
  6. Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka Episode XII: Siege of Javin Javin, back end of the Corellian Trade Spine. After the disaster at Kuat Alliance High Command scrambled to regain the losses we suffered in the heart of the imperial war machine. The core worlds were too highly defended to make feasible targets. My battalion suddenly found itself jumping from back water sector to back water sector. Eventually after a month of system skipping we were given our orders. We along with an entire division were to liberate the rebel sympathetic planet of Javin, the center of Imperial control in the surrounding five sectors in this small corner of the Outer Rim. If we took Javin's capital of Babusa, the Empire's position in this area of space would be untenable. From what we learned in mission briefing COM-SCAN detected the presence of heavy ion cannons encircling the city along with extensive trench works that would prevent orbital and atmospheric bombardment. To a grunt like me that's the worst news in the world. This would be an exclusively infantry and armor based operation, which only ever results in high casualties for both sides just like at Hoth. Everyone in the battalion is a survivor of Hoth, somehow managed to escape the onslaught and make it onboard a GR transport. Unlike Hoth we would not be running with state of the art AT-ATs, only what the engineers could scrounge up. Command's strategy, under the guidance of an anorexic looking Bothan general, was to simultaneously charge the defenses at key points along the fortifications. Since the Imperials would be stretched thin if they manned the entire perimeter they instead operated mainly around communication towers that networked with the entire defense network. If we took the towers out en mass the Imps would be running blind and unable to reinforce their various garrisons. From there we could press our advantage after we secured our objective. We deployed fifty clicks out from the imps and made our way through the Javin bogs, riding on top of the T2-Bs. Luck, or command, smiled on us that day. We were one of the few battalions to be assigned to a pathfinder commando squadron, who would clear the way for us. I met the shistavanen, he mentioned something about hunting Luke Skywalker's enemies, and jabbed furiously with a double tipped weapon he always carries. No blaster madman...wolf...guy. Still as we waded through waist deep marsh or hugged onto the durasteel plating of a tank, I remember worming my way through the snow on my belly to hide from an AT-ST's chin guns, hiding under the bodies of comrades. Most of us weren't coming home. Most of us forgot how hard the Imps fought. 4 ABY: Imperial Defenses Encircling Capital City "Shut those blast doors! Now! if Colonel Jerres can't hold this rabble at bay we need to scrub the mainframe of all evidence of the Skywalker fil-" "Sher'al I have your Intelligence Agent down here." *growls* "At last!" [imperial Security Camera Data Recovery] "Let's talk, Agent Ferad." Behind the Scenes: Episode List:
  7. The exposed technic pieces on the back of the AT-ST are ugly but seem like they might be there for head stability and integrity. Structural integrity is really all I want from this new walker. The head of the battle of endor variant is too flimsy relying on small hinges.
  8. We do but theres already a thread for Doctor Who.
  9. Xboxtravis inspired me to rewatch another great world war 2 movie, Fury. Theres a scene in that movie that always gets me where they see this massive bomber formation flying over that gets intercepted by German fighters. My great uncle was apart of a bomber crew who was killed over Luxembourg when his bomber was shot down. Fury is an incredible film and one that put me off war films for a long time. I love war films because they allow for actors to display a full array of emotions that are often very raw. Fury however just showed how horrific war really is in a way that got to me. Thats one of my favorite childhood movies. The real life Boris Karloff backstory to the film is pretty intereting.
  10. To quote an infamous Imperial dog "Impressive most impressive." This is incredible! I am somewhat blown back by both the presentation and the build. The camera angles are excellent, the part usage is very clever especially that holographic imperial star destroyer. The lighting change when they activate the holograms is a nice touch and helps make your story even more immersive then it is. A lot of thought and work went into this build and it shows. I can't say how much I love this enough! (edit: I forgot to mention nice titles on the first picture!)
  11. I feel like 2 stormies, 1 death trooper, 1 shore trooper would be the golden imperial rogue one battlepack ratio. Especially since shore troopers seem like theyre going to be featured quite a bit in the film. Still even without a shore trooper it still sounds like an excellent set. Im more interested in the rebel battlepack since its the only one we arent aware of the figures. Will they be a mixture of the rebel troopers in the main wave sets? Naval troopers?
  12. The synopsis for Catylyst (the prequel novel to Rogue One) has been announced and some information on Director Krennic has been revealed. Nothing that ruins anything for me but dont look into it if you want to go into RO completely fresh Good to know its definitely on my list of need to read.
  13. Between him and the death star we're going to finally have a really well rounded imperial officer corps that all have cordinating art styles
  14. Oh for goodness sake. Lego why dont you just dual mold the tank drivers legs? If that meant we only got one figure in the set I would be fine with that as it would look better then black printing on only one side of the leg. Same for the shore trooper. Besides that the figures look excellent and the molding work as per usual with SW is top notch.
  15. Absolutely gorgeous! The ship that never was but shouldve been
  16. That U Wing is fat as all get out. The AT-ST looks interesting from the side.
  17. Entertainment Weekly did a Rogue One toy lineup and if I believe correctly they showed the lego sets.
  18. The fact that they are saying it's back actually makes me feel okay about the set. It's simply meant to be an update. What my main issue was the seeming gall to market this as an entirely new set but that seems to not be the case. Yes it still has issues but if it's a reissue i'm not going to complain. Still a much better set then Assault on Hoth.
  19. That moment Grand Admiral Thrawn gets a light gray uniform because its a rebels set.
  20. Lumiere is definitely overdesigned but Cogsworth for me looks spot on. I love his design I wonder if this beauty and the beast will follow the song list from the original movie or the broadway production that Hugh Jackman was in (albeit in Austailia). Having been in a local arts centers production once upon a time I feel that some of the additional songs actually help. Specifically I hope they include "Me" where Gaston performed a song where he proposes to Belle but only talks about himself the whole time.
  21. People keep saying in defense of the deathstar that it isnt lazy since the designers wanted to update the minifugres. Theres one big issue with that. The original set already had the figures updated once which was then manufactured instead of the original. I dont mind updating in the slightest, which is why this set dodsnt really bother me too much. What I dont like is that they didnt just use the original set jumber and added a hyphen followed by a 1 or a 2 to mark that this is simply an update. The fact they fave it a new set number makes it seem like they want this to be viewed as a completely different set.
  22. Same. While I am in the region that store is not easily accessible to me. Sorry guys
  23. Yet again though TLG has wonky box pictures. Does Darth Vader have arm printing or not? In some pictures he has shoulder pads in most he doesn't. Or arm printing.
  24. So what do people think of scalpers?
