  1. funky ship. wonder what is in that envelope though ...
  2. The Eslandolan coastal cutter "Pato Moreno" is used to transport agricultural produce from the plantations to the colonial capital Nova Terreli where they are put on larger ocean going vessels. She is an excellent craft for the shallow shores around Nelissa and often enough used to travel the rivers inland. On this run she's loaded with cotton .. builder's note: sorry for the poor quality pics, I will get better ones once I have natural light again tomorrow ...
  3. Looking really awesome, your first really Great ship!
  4. kabel is viceroy Renato Filamento who actually doesn't understand why the King has granted a charter to MAESTRO since he feels that this is weakening his power in the colonies ...
  5. Haha, I really like this house a lot. Some it's design elements look very familiar though! I really like how you mixed more than just red and dark red for the roof, it really improves the look. And it's quite an improvement I'll work in as well I think. Anyway, I'd change the tiles on the balcony door to vertical instead of horizontal and I'd try to photograph with a paperbackground instead. I'm sure it would help you presentation!
  6. I love those dark red profile bricks myself. So it's cool to see others use them as well. Great to hear you like to build this pirate era stuff because so do I! Nice job!
  7. King Fernando orders his subjects to behave more civil and direct their powers towards the colonization of the New World. There is plenty of wealth to be made for three trading companies!
  8. That is really a great tower and it's really a shame you only have so few pieces. Next BMA we'll get us some PaB cups and moc together, that's for sure!! However, don't you think that a stone structure isn't a bit too much for a place that is just being hammered into the jungle? I'm sure I would have gone for something more temporary at this point to depict ET's first structure.
  9. and you couldn't just put a little moc together every then and now? Really loving your take at mocing I'd really appriciate to see your stuff here as well ...
  10. The harbor, the houses the minifigs cluttering the scene - all really great! However, I'm not really sold on those boats. Somehow they don't seem to fit your style.
  11. Thought you had joined the right Kingdom. Changed the title for ya a little bit.
  12. There is definetely some good stuff to be seen here and some techniques seem rather familiar Interesting idea to have ruins in the jungle. We should take a closer look into that! Anyway, here's some advice on how to improve: I wouldn't use any yellow for the beach, it's to funky, unrealistic a color! Keep your rocks in one shade of, it makes the rock face look a lot better and more uniform. And finally, I'd use dark instead of lime green for the forest floor.
  13. It's interesting to see, that you came up with the idea yourself as there are actually myths out there according to which single Vikings actually went on to Central America and are said to have been behind the Quetzalcoatl myth. Scholors found this to be nonsense, but it's an interesting though ... (man, reading about the conquest of Cortes etc. is way more interesting than grading papers ...)
  14. Wow, not being much of an artist at all that is something I've never thought of before. Thanks for telling me, I'm sure I'll tike this into consideration for my next moc!
  15. Haha, that is a great idea and quite possible too, had the vikings pushed on a little further! Great idea to burry the vking ship like that!
  16. Now mate, who are you trying to fool here? None of us Eslandolans, that's for sure! (Nice little vig, that will need an answer however )
  17. Bienvenidos Lyell, what a way to start you EB carreer by introducing yourself to Eslandola, way to go!
  18. thanks mateys ... yeah, the parrot is a lovely piece and I would have put more on the tree, had my kids not hidden most of them!
  19. a very nice ship but don't you think she's a tad to big for a cutter? I'd call her a sloop ...
  20. well, Oleon then - what's the difference anyways. And besides, the King has nothing to do with this at all, this is MAESTRO's business. One thing is certain though, if any Eslandolan vessel or colony is raided by any member of MAESTRO, the company will lose its charter!
  21. yeah, like raiding Corrington (for Maestro) but King Fernando has nothing to do with it ...
  22. I wonder if you could show us a pic of the entire scene so we can understand the distances between the two levels better.
  23. You could raid for the company, just not any Eslandolan vessels or towns!
  24. Thanks a lot y'all! Like I've said before, I'm really glad I'm back to mocing again! yeah right, friendly Oleanders, doesn't look like it so far ... And yeah, the troops are annoyed, glad you caught that! yes, the white plates are meant to represent seashells, which is what I found the beach to be littered with the one time I was at the Carribean in Mexico. The brown plates are actually meant to be pieces of drift wood. So, I know it looks a bit strange, any better ideas though? I like the sound of that Gideon, especially since you are usually a hard to please critic - which I really appreciate though! And yes, I build the jungle so that it would be hard to spot the native. I kinda ran out of vegetation though, otherwise the jungle would have been even denser! yeah, that's the Eslandolan way mate!
