  1. Looking forward to the next instalment @The Reader! As a child of the 80’s too, the Adventurers theme arrived during my teen years, so I didn’t get many of the originals as I had little money but it is my ideal theme. I remember being in Greece and seeing the small jungle set 5901 and buying it with my paper round money. Would love a revival but good to see lots of MOCs, including new parts that compliment the theme well, like the toucan. We need some more rainforests animals!
  2. Thanks @Clone OPatra - I think I'll wait before buying any inflated/overpriced Hogwarts students packs - hopefully the Dumbledore's Office set will confirm whether the badges were a one-off tribute as well as if the non-badged torsos will return. It is very strange they haven't included any of the non-badged torsos in the last few waves and the new moments sets don't have the jumpers but use robes. It's all very annoying but I cannot really justify paying out for something likely to be discontinued.
  3. Thanks @Clone OPatra - I had overlooked the fact the 'Hufflepuff' Hogwarts Moments set did not include the house torso but specialist Herbology ones, so a Hufflepuff jumper with badge doesn't actually exist. Annoyingly, the student pack of the 4 different houses is no longer sold here in the UK. However, it is currently discounted on the US site. Is it possible to order items from overseas (e.g. from the US site to be shipped to the UK)?
  4. Does anyone know if the summer sets are likely to contain any Hogwarts students in uniform? I am waiting to see if they will continue with the grey torsos without the badge from the previous sets, whereas the Hogwarts moments sets all include the torso with the house badges. I don't want to go and buy a lot of one, only to find out they will be discontinued! It is a very annoying change and only designed to make money, as I notice more recent sets have not included the school jumper torsos but robes like in the trunk..
  5. I would certainly like to be there right now!!
  6. Does 60335 contain a train and a bus then? If not, it must be a London-themed set and the bus is the rail replacement service!!
  7. That made me think more philosophically than perhaps it should have!
  8. I still think the understanding the goat mould is broken isn't exactly a valid enough reason for them not to bring it back. It isn't like new moulds aren't being made all the time or that they would have deleted all the details of how the first mould was made. This would be popular, particular as trees are a weak point for Lego so getting a decent tree plus multiple goats would be great. I would still prefer the giraffe I've been waiting over 30 years for though!.
  9. The colour SoupOrFishOil has suggested is too bright - I am looking more for the colour of the cat, but it looks as though the cat was the only mould available in this colour!
  10. I think a doctor’s surgery would work well as a modular building. I would also love a printed Snellen chart (the eye test) tile. I’d also like a modular fishmonger.
  11. That’s what I’m asking really - does this colour exist in the Lego colour palate or historically?
  12. I’m trying to find some regular bricks in a pale orange colour (something less bright than the orange/yellow used for the current Friends Food Trucks/Ice Festival hut. A bit like the pink flesh colour used in the Boutique hotel but more orange than pink. I know there are a wide range of colours used for Fabuland/Scala sets but I need a small range of basic bricks (e.g. 1x1, 1x2, 1x4 bricks and 1x1 and 1x2 plates or at least most of these) - any suggestions? I’d call it a “pale apricot” shade… Thanks in advance…
  13. I wonder if Madam Pomfrey's headgear will be reintroduced for a Florence Nightingale-style figure. Perhaps not in a special themed series but a regular series.
  14. What would be nice in future when a new Hogwarts Express is due for an introduction would be to release separate sets with additional carriages. Perhaps each one could include each of the houses so we can get more torsos representing Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. This would be a nice way to build longer trains without having multiple versions of the train front and would be more affordable than some of the ridiculously priced sets like Diagon Alley, which would alleviate pressure on parents. I would imagine most kids would love a Diagon Alley but it is far too expensive for many families to justify buying and should have been several smaller sets in my opinion. I know, Lego is a trading company with an objective of making money but I think sales would have been equally as high as more people would buy the smaller sets.
  15. Let’s just hope having a second ‘regular’ series in 2023 doesn’t mean an all licensed 2023!
  16. Yes, the other beach set is much better. I also hope future sets will include some cutlery knives in Flat Silver (it seems every set has forks and spoons)!
  17. That bear looks rather menacing instead of cute!
  18. Thanks @cimddwc, I hadn’t seen that. Now trying to see what all those colours are and how many I still need!
  19. I always try to think which colour shades are still not covered by Lego but we are extremely spoilt these days (I go back to the days when green and brown bricks were pretty rare). I love the feeling of opening a new set and seeing a new colour I don’t have. Does anybody know which piece has been made with the most different colours. I’d love to see people post a spectrum of all the 1x2 plates available.
  20. I always enjoy your builds, snaillad - this one reminds me a lot of the latter series of Mad Men.
  21. Those new piglets better not be too cute! I was thinking a turkey farm for next year's winter village!
  22. I'm hoping it's an African Wildlife rescue set, as it was very disappointing last year that there were so many animals that were missed in the elephant/lion sets, like a giraffe, zebra, hippo, rhino... We know with Lego Farm that we may have to wait the best part of a decade or more before some themes are revisited. I'd also suggest Wildlife Rescue may contain more than one type of animal, otherwise the set would simply be called e.g. "Elephant Rescue/Kangaroo Rescue/Pink Fairy Armadillo Rescue" but maybe that is my wishful thinking for more new moulds!
  23. Can't decide between the penguin, manta ray, toucan and the CMF turtle. Would really love the return of the camel though! As my Mum always says if I've had a bad day - hope you have a better day tomorrow @Aurore!
  24. @williejm thankfully @Robert8 has come to the rescue! I have just ordered a Series 20 CMF diver with turtle from ebay as missed out on these in shops during the pandemic. I prefer this colour to the one in the new lifeguard set so hopefully more will appear, possibly in BAM. I can't wait for the farm sets this summer and the wildlife one - would be great if this was like the minifigure sets 'Fun At The Park/Beach', but all animal based - e.g. a few minifigs with prints appropriate to their surroundings and some corresponding animals... 'Fun at the Forest' (a fox, deer, squirrels, hare, toadstools & some autumnal foliage) 'Fun at the Coral Reef' (a shark, manta ray, turtles, coral pieces) 'Fun in the Amazon' (jaguar, tapir, capyabara family, toucan & rainforest foliage) 'Fun Down Under' (a crocodile, kangaroo, koala) 'Fun on Safari' (a giraffe, hippo, zebras)
