  1. This is going to sound incredibly stupid but I can't work out how! An otter and a hare using the HP moulds would be good - does anybody's Potter figures have a penguin patronus from the ice festival set yet?!
  2. I doubt a duck will be included, given the Friends Apartment set's pathetic substitution just last year but who knows! A regular CMF series will also hopefully include a couple more animals. Would be incredible if it was an animal series though. I am guessing a koala and meerkat will appear in future series but would really like a sea lion.
  3. The new BAM outfits look great but the pics i have seen show the photographer with the same torso as the violinist so I wonder if there is another unrevealed torso (the one used twice is very nice though). The tracksuit print is also brilliant and I want to know what is one the 1x2 tile held by the dessert guy.
  4. An Adventurers theme with the range of colours and bricks available nowadays would be wonderful! I also agree with the comment that they aren't tied down to Indy plots so could therefore explore other environments (I always hoped we see Johnny Thunder and Dr Kilroy racing to the South Pole or some sort of Ancient Greek theme). Also, the jungle themes would be much better nowadays with the availability of plants, animals.
  5. As usual, another fine series @Robert8 My favourite is the comedian (possibly my favourite torso print ever) and also the sultan. The koala suit is surely a must for an official Lego series - it just works so well. I also think the enchantress and mermaid look great and are unique additions to a fantasy setting and I love the carneval lady too.
  6. Well played, Ice Rink designer - as somebody who detests stickers, I applaud you!
  7. I'd love to see a City Zoo - something like the one in Central Park, Manhattan. I know Lego may not wish to promote captivity of animals so more 'Beyond The City' style sets would also be fine with me, as I love the safari sets and jungle adventures. I would like a sea lion mould (non-Friends), which would perhaps work best as part of a zoo or perhaps a wildlife film crew on a boat. Perhaps we will get a sea lion in the collectible minifigures as it would be a reasonable size to fit in the packet.
  8. I heard the FIFA Women's World Cup could get a series (not sure where though as this was a while back so don't take my word for it). If so, I hope each player comes with a printed flag. I'd love to create some of those important buildings or hotels but hate stickers and custom parts.
  9. That would be cool but in the BAM selection so as not to take up a valuable regular CMF slot. I can only see them doing bright colours though (even though I love the 'neutral' Lego palate - all the brown shades)... I also hope for a classic spaceman in all colours - teal, lime and coral on my wanted lists.
  10. Merry Christmas All - looking forward to these, as always!
  11. I guess a sports shop could allow multiple sports equipment/accessories - there are plenty of existing moulds for racquets, bats, balls, etc. Or perhaps a club shop - there are several baseball teams in Lego City - the Stackers, the Clutchers and the Champs.
  12. I haven't been particularly impressed by the previous three modular buildings but I am pleased to say I like this a lot and will be definitely be buying this. I remember 10-year old me in the early 1990s being ecstatic when the Paradisa sets were introduced with new pastel shade pieces as, before then, the colour palette was very limited indeed. I am sure he would think we are very lucky nowadays and, although people always appreciate new brighter colours, the variety of brown colours currently available add so much more variety to more neutral and realistic builds. He'd be livid we still don't have a proper giraffe mould 30 years later though! This definitely has a 'Hotel Negresco' feel and I'd certainly like to see any MOC attempts to widen the set and add an extra floor or two. I really like the white support columns and the angles and differences between each level would appear to rule out too much repetition during the build. My main criticism is that the luggage trolley isn't very neatly designed and I would be keen to see any attempts to improve this.
  13. Love this! I have always wanted the printed hieroglyphs parts from the Adventurers sets but really like the brick-built paintings you have created and love the water.
  14. I don't really mind which era or country a modular building is based on. What is most important for me is how useful and unique the parts are (e.g. certain bricks in new colours, sufficient 'neutral' colours which would be needed in MOC builds, printed part (no stickers at all thanks), decent minifigures and accessories.
  15. @Poodabricks This was with the Series 17 strongman BrickLink Reference Catalog - Sets which Contain Part 32765pb01 P.S. Nice build @skcheung!
  16. You’re a better Uncle than me, that’s for sure @williejm! Glad the next CNF series will contain the toucan but the foal certainly opens up possibilities for more baby animal moulds - which do you think are most likely (and which non-baby animals)? P.S. Question is for all, not just generous Uncle Willie!
  17. You're absolutely right! I mainly like new animals, food parts and musical instruments so will have to think which are still missing!
  18. For me, the primary purpose of CMF series should always be the opportunity to provide unique moulds for new items and commonplace objects that perhaps wouldn't be integral to a regular building set. I therefore always welcome new moulds, even if the figures themselves do not stand out. The toucan and the lute make these two figures 'must buy' for me.
  19. Exactly - wouldn't surprise me. The 'duck' in the Friends apartment is laughable. Why not wait until a duck mould exists or completely omit it from the set?!
  20. Hopefully the next series won't use unnecessary additional plastic packaging within the foil packet. This was never the case with previous series and completely unnecessary. I thought Lego were making steps to make themselves a more eco-friendly company.
  21. I would really like to see some national flags like in set 242 from the 50's/60's (only if printed rather than the dreadful stickered approached). Obviously, they would never release every country's flag as in some areas there are political issues, such as sovereignty disputes. However, something like a World Cup tournament would be the perfect opportunity as they would only be obliged to issue the flags of the participating nations, which would cover a lot of the more 'prominent' countries of the world (no disrespect intended to any others). The only issue for me would be the flag of the UK would not be included as Scotland, Wales, etc each compete separately at football. I feel that something like this included with the Women's World Cup sets would make the sets more appealing to a wider audience as, despite attempts to better publicise the women's game, the men's World Cup tournament still has wider viewing figures and international recognition of players, etc.
  22. A capybara would be brilliant but I don't like the re-use of an existing mould (not really followed the conversation about the hamster above so apologies if I have misunderstood). With the toucan apparently lined up for the next CMF series, I hope for a lot more Amazonian wildlife. I always wanted them to print the original parrot in blue for a macaw - not keen on those dual-mould mish-mash we currently have. A sloth and tapir would be great additions too. I know many people complain about too many 'City' figures in these series. However, I certainly wouldn't complain about new animal moulds, even if the figure itself is just a remake of a wildlife photographer/zoo keeper/explorer/researcher, etc. Some sort of Adventurers figures would also be fairly apt too.
  23. Toucan, TOUCAN, TOOOOUCAAAANNNNN!
  24. PIVOT!!! Great build - I like the radiator and the tiling on the floor
