  1. @dpi2000 You model has been frontpaged. Nice work!
  2. Well said. Danil, you are free to use the translator if it is easier for you. Hope you will have fun here.
  3. Hello @tzyherr91 Please read the site rules again. I have removed your Ideas link. You need to edit your post, and make a proper MOC presentation. Right now, your post is an ad for Ideas. That is not what EB is for. Thanks.
  4. Hi, @Teh6, Please resize your images, they are too big (max allowed size is 1024x1024). Thanks.
  5. It is. We were waiting for the contest to end. We will do it in the next several days.
  6. Done! All the winners are frontpaged with their individual topics linked via the frontpaged pictures.
  7. TECHNIC STUDLESS RECREATION CONTEST - RESULTS TOPIC This contest is all about recreating a classic studded set, using contemporary studless LEGO Technic. The main voting criteria is whether you have replicated the sets as close as possible! Voting criteria True to the original Quality of the build. Looks (shape, color scheme, etc). Functionality. Originality. WINNERS: (Click on the each winner's picture to visit its own WIP topic) LEGO 8854 Update by Thirdwigg Tipper Truck Redux by Seasider Forklift Transporter by RiGi
  8. Congratulations to the winners, and to all the contestants This was one of the most enjoyable contests to follow, with awesome models, great ideas, and of course, such a nice nostalgia kick. Again, the most important goal still was to have fun, and I believe that was mission accomplished, too Thanks to all who praised it and to all who provided valuable constructive input on how we can improve it. I do hope that each time we have a new contest, we get a bit better at it, and I like the fact that we do it together. I believe that next competition, with some adjusted voting rules, could be even more satisfying, and ultimately, more fun! I know that Jim and me will give our best I will frontpage the winner!
  9. Hello @RJ BrickBuilds Please read the site rules again. I have removed your Ideas link. You need to edit your post and the title, and make a proper MOC presentation (not an Ideas presentation), rather then to just copy and paste your whole Ideas page here. Thanks.
  10. Best way to learn and to improve is to just try to build something new. That way you will find what you like most and what suits you. You can always take a look at official sets for inspiration.
  11. Excellent, in every way. I especially like how well enclosed it looks. Scheduled to be frontpaged.
  12. I have just checked the entry topic, and except the 8880 (that was disqualified because it lost the pics at one moment), they all work for me.
  13. We have added links to the entries, so even the laziest ones can vote comfortably If anyone finds a wrong link, let me know. If anyone finds two or more wrong links, don't even bother
  14. I am sorry, I should have been more clear. So, as Dazzzy had explained in his post, he was inquiring whether his model was okay enough (since he was unsure was it close enough to the original), and I responded that it was okay. He had also mentioned that he will take care of the tires. Virtual models are, of course, not allowed, and we wouldn't make exceptions like that. @Dazzzy, to remove any doubts, please confirm that you are aware that you are required to have a physical entry for entering the competition
  15. @jwarner to embed a video, just paste its link directly in your post.
  16. Every photo you post should fit the rules, including those in the first post.
  17. You can resize them on your comp (paint/ACDsee/photoshop...) or online. Then upload them on any image hosting site. You can upload them in full size on Flickr/Bricksafe etc... and then choose to link the size you want here.
  18. @Bony_em Max allowed image size is 1024. Please resize your images.
  19. Guys, take care not to quote pictures from the same page. It clogs the page very fast. I have removed the quoted pics.
  20. My advice, take your time with it. No need to rush. Better to wait until you are fully satisfied with the reviews. I guess you will finish it after the merge (mind you, it is after the voting and announcing the winner), so you can post it in the new final forum. Since this is about Ingmar and his models, I would like to see really nice photos and detailed review, so we can frontpage it. Ingmar deserved it. But, we can talk about the review in another topic, and leave this place for the merge discussion
  21. Yes, the merging was scheduled after the current contest (after the winner is announced). If you post it in SMF now, it will be visible there now, and after the merge it will be synchronized with the Technic forum (by date of the latest reply). It will be visible there, too, of course. Plenty of people noticed your awesome models. Some of them were even frontpaged
  22. Until the contest is over, the current rules of both SMF and Technic are valid. So, you can either wait until the contest ends, and then post it in the merged forum, or post it right now in the SMF.
  23. We need to accept that, however we organize, merge or split forums, there will always be models that do not fit in a single forum/category. And with that, builders that feel unhappy with the placement of their models in an X, Y, Z forums. The important thing is that we give our best and try what works best, and, change it again later if we all agree. That was the initial idea when we first talked about it And It looks good! They still belong to the SMF, until the merge. His models are even on the cover of the SMF
