Great! Clever and looks good! I'll have to try this next time I need something similar if I may... -
Jurassic World 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Mutant Orc replied to adotnamedstud's topic in LEGO Licensed
The pricing in the UK is rather awful I think. A lot of the sets look like they should be around a 1/3rd of the price. I don't mind spending a bit more for sets that feel complete and decent but the sets I feel are too lacking to be worth it.- 1,412 replies

I think the main reason why they mightn't have hay in Okoto is not because of the civilization but because of the climate...none of the regions look very good for farming. Anyways, they could find some way of doing it I spose. Clearing areas of the jungle maybe... But the Orcs have restaurants in LOTR (or at least menus), so I s'pose the Toa and the Protectors could have hay...

Star Wars Constraction 2015 Discussion
Mutant Orc replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I agree wholeheartedly. -
Bought the last Mixel I needed on Sunday, so now I'm just waiting on the new series! :)
-
Love it!
-
I managed to pick up a load of the Mixels a day or two ago. I'm only missing one now, that being Globert as he wasn't in stock. One of my favorites of this wave has to be Niksput, although I didn't expect it to be so from the beginning. He has great character and is different, looks good and has some good articulation too. The Infernites' MAX is a lot lot better than the first wave's max too.

An amazing CCBS-related revelation...

CCBS elements removed from "LEGO Pick a Brick"
Mutant Orc replied to Darking's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I went to buy from the Bricks and Pieces bit the other day and after looking there and the price and the price of getting the parts I wanted and a lot more besides by buying doubles of the sets, I came to the conclusion that buying doubles was better by far. Although that would depend on the parts and how many you want...I wanted rather a lot. -
Oh no!

[MOC] Constraction-class Recon Combat Mech
Mutant Orc replied to TheOneVeyronian's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Wow, this is big, imposing and detailed. It's plenty filled out, which I like, and the 'bubble' cockpit works. The construction is very clever. especially on the upper legs and the right arm of it by the looks of it. Very nice! -
Ah, I will also have to try it, as the other way to do it (as on the PoF) I don't have enough of all the right parts for. Many thanks again!

Old Bionicle sets: To open or not to open
Mutant Orc replied to Aethersprite's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I used to have that set in my old collection, and it was a great set. I think I still have one or two random bits of him somewhere...I never had any joint problems. Worth opening! -
Old Bionicle sets: To open or not to open
Mutant Orc replied to Aethersprite's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I'm not one to keep things sealed, because I'm not a seller. Even if a few joints do crack, the set will get more appreciation out of its box than in it. -

I chose Jungle. My favorite one along with Stone. I was just looking at the Smyths website and I noticed that a rather random few BIONCILE sets have a couple of quid knocked off them. http://www.smythstoy...-of-fire-70787/ http://www.smythstoy...-spiders-70790/ http://www.smythstoy...f-jungle-70784/ I'm rather tempted by another Lewa for a tenner. Although postage just brings the total cost back to RRP. EDIT- Noticed there a few reduced on Argos too. http://www.argos.co....ber/3565315.htm http://www.argos.co....ber/3579473.htm http://www.argos.co....ber/3600744.htm Similar to Smyths just Argos have the PoS reduced and not Lewa. Which is nice as the Protector of Stone is a nice parts pack (actually all the summer wave are nice parts packs) And on another note they have Tunneler Beast reduced (not Bionicle but still CCBS) http://www.argos.co....ber/2685519.htm I've realized this post turned out to be quite a long one and doesn't have much to do with discussion but I didn't know where else to post where everyone could see to take advantage (if possible).

It looks great! Dynamic and with nice parts usage.
-
It would make sense if the super-blacksmiths who forged the masks needed for the Protectors to make Okoto habitable are nigh on indestructible. If they died the whole place would go to ruin and wouldn't be able to come back from it. At least if they're asleep they can be re-awoken to restore order.

It certainly does! Really nice use of those gun parts and I like the shaping!
-
As long as the main points are covered it's fine. It's nice having things like the Protector's characters open to personal preference.

Yes I agree with most of that. But I thought that it was only his left arms that had a function? I could well be wrong...

Personally I'm not bothered by the designs, I had niggling negative thoughts about some aspects of the Toa and Protectors as well but they cleared up mainly in hand. I think we're better off waiting for the reviews to judge. Some things look a lot better from a certain angle that we probably haven't had yet.

But they were more Living Dead as in Zombies, and these are Living Skeletons.
