  1. Ooh, nice! I wouldn't mind eventually getting some clearer images of its construction/connection at the bottom, and of course I'm looking forward to seeing your PoJ.
  2. Nice! I like the gun design
  3. Very nice scene! I like the build and everything but what caught my eye was the man with his knee tucked up beneath his chin- I've never seen that done before!
  4. Yes I would agree that the friction isnt very strong between the two halves.
  5. I'm messing about with the short eye/brain stalk- http://brickset.com/parts/4505191- too see if it can be fitted in a new Bionicle head (for Lewa) and it is possible if its flipped back to front and upside down, i.e. the small 'wedge' from the front-bottom at the top back pointing diagonally upwards. It's hard to explain but I cant take a photo, sorry. It looks rather strange but its possible to put on Lewa's mask on all the same! It doesn't quite fit back into its holes, its a few millimeters off but it sits firmly there and doesn't just fall off. The eyes line up well enough so that some light can shine through and light up the eyes, but it probably puts strain on the parts and its not the worst but hardly the best looking thing in the world. It does however allow for him to tilt his head back a tiny bit more with his original height gears whilst retaining a 'brain'! [i was writing this as I went along and have now come to the conclusion that its not really worth following the above!] {sorry for the double long posts that are probably pretty uninteresting!}
  6. in regards to theOneVeryonian's in response to Shakar- Ah you beat me to it! I was about to also say that earlier today I had also tried an extra friction joint, but it makes the whole thing seems strange and ugly. in regards to Darth Vader's post- Hm, I'm not sure if the change is so drastic that it has such an effect on Lewa, but I would agree with you when you mention the changing of Pohatu's asymmetrical-ness. Also- When I moved Lewa's gearbox down I didn't actually move his shoulder spikes up to compensate, I find that when left as their original size still attached to a one module lower gearbox they sit in a way that hides his unused shoulder ball joints better and leaves the head more exposed and accessible but not the extent that its jutting out awkwardly and compromising the original look.
  7. Hahahahaha! Although the Friends sets are perfectly welcome for all the rare and interesting parts and colours they bring with them.
  8. Exactly my sentiment! Although I didn't have quite enough to get Tahu and the PoF- I could've gotten one or the other but I didn't want to split the pairs. I'll have enough money by the end of the month though for sure. Its money well spent though, these sets are great. Any flaws seen in the photos and reviews seem a lot less noticeable in hand when the abundant positives shine through.
  9. Interesting topic, I would also like to know how people tie their knots when there is no other option available, I hate to waste the string more than anything (I very rearely create MOCs that need string in them) so my problem is finding a knot I can do easily with my rather fat fingers whilst saving as much string as possible. I just use a double knot at the moment
  10. Brilliant! I love the mirroring, it brings out the contrasts and captures the situations perfectly. Great work!
  11. I've swapped the gold out for silver to see what the result would be and it tidies the colour scheme up and makes him fit with the PoE a lot better. It makes him a lot more somber and serious looking too.
  12. Ouch! Do you not get free delivery over a certain amount?
  13. oooh exciting!
  14. I went to the Lego Shop in Liverpool yesterday and they had all the sets in stock. With the sets in hand all the minor quibbles I had from seeing images of them have pretty much dissipated entirely. They're well worth buying! (at least all of them bar for Tahu and the PoF I dont have them so I cant comment)
  15. Nice work!
  16. Congratulations! That clown is imprinted on my mind now!! It's terrifying! I can see why these came top- they all have really cleverly used parts and look great. Well done
  17. I would say the opposite, so its nice that we get a bit of both in the videos/advertisements they're making so as we're all happy. I never got very involved with anything to do with names and story for the old Bionicle, so what is a vahi? May sound like a silly question, but I haven't a clue what it is so I thought I;d better ask.
  18. Wow, amazing! How long did it take to complete??
  19. I suppose most of you have, but I thought I'd ask anyways- have you seen the slightly funny bios for the Skull Spider types? The blue skull spiders are some tough critters. They have been known to survive incredible things. Such as a falling Onua. That one's the oddest! It's rather nice that they've given each type a different trait, rather than leaving the differences at the fact that they have colours variance just because. Although that means the distribution of the spiders is a bit odd. Why in the places full of fire (being bright) would there be Skull Spiders than have X-Ray vision and can see in the dark? And infrared would have made more sense. Ah well, it was a nice idea la the same even if not entirely logical...
  20. I've set it as my desktop background and it certainly does make a nice wallpaper.
  21. Everything (about this) is awesome!
