    YES. Love how much this design evokes his original vehicle while being totally different.

    One advantage to the designers is that, unlike the BTTF set, there's no specific popular conception about how a space mech should look. So they can change the silhouette quite considerably and address any illegal connection issues without a public outcry. I'll be really interested to see the final version of this, particularly the minifig.

    Good to know, thanks! If there are more sets, I'll be interested to see what direction they decide to go with this. I wonder if the end of this theme wouldn't just mean the absence of Castle for a while, in any case.

    Has anyone heard any rumors about Castle for 2014 or would it be too early for that? I'm curious when we'll know if the theme will continue or not.

    Would also love to see Explorers/Adventurers, although Pharoah's Quest might be too recent for us to see another iteration of an explorer type them anytime soon.

    I'd call it a matter of taste rather than a flaw. I've an interest in modern and contemporary design but many of the lesser examples are simply plain. FWIW, I love the decorative elements of older European buildings--it's a mode of expression, and only looks extravagant from a contemporary vantage point, imho.

    I really like that the stairway will leave a little alley space and allow the details on the side of the chimney to be seen even if you *do* sandwich it between two other modulars. It will make a sort of quiet entryway and give extra privacy to the patio outside the couple's apartment

    Amazing! I think I'm going to have to buy myself a Christmas present this year. Love the feathers along the roof, the tiles and wood on the flooring... This is too good.

    I thought the rumors were for a big purple dragon, not necessarily a ninja? I'd sort of assumed the dragon might belong to General Cryptor as part of the MechDragon set. It sounds awesome, although I also hope there's at least one building-type model in the full wave. If not I'm sure we'll see one soon.

    When I have more lego/money/space I'm dreaming of getting apothecary cabinets--something like this but bigger: http://caseantiques...._2011/111_5.jpg or this: http://www.salvo.co....net_72698_1.jpg Maybe line the walls of a room with them and place some impressive built models on end tables. I feel like this room should also be dark with only shafts of sunlight peeking in. And a large wooden desk where I'll build things. In the meanwhile, I find steel toolboxes to be sturdy/good for sorting/easy to slip in my closet when I need the space back.

    Yeah, I'm afraid you're probably right. Not to divert the thread, but the relative lack of non-licensed themes has gotten me into Creator, which isn't so bad. I've said this elsewhere, but the Lego Movie theme looks a bit like Time Cruisers in my head, which I have mixed feelings about...

    MF was the best thing going on last year. Whatever else happens, I'll be looking forward to a follow-up to that. It'll be tough to do.

    Recently got the Halloween Accessory set to add to this--discounted on S@H right now. Wondering how long I have to wait to start decorating for Halloween (i.e., rebuilding MF sets).

    That set list makes it sound even more like we haven't got the A-model image of 31017 yet (Sunset Speeder sounds more like a sports car than a race car to me). Don't bigger sets usually have higher numbers? Emerald Express sounds like a train, but comes sequentially before the Forest Animals we've seen images of. Interesting.
