This set has a lot of versatile, common parts, so it's not surprising that a lot can be done with it. And @sirslayer - cool mods! A great cab indeed. -

I love this! The use of teal really works in the model's favour, and the pneumatics look like they'd be great fun to use. Excited for the final result!

Great idea, this looks like it would go with 42081 quite well. Good to see the futuristic theme in Technic is thriving.

Awesome, man! This is a rare model for Technic; the last time we saw something like this was in 8053. Nice use of 42055's parts too.

If there was ever a time to pull out the Happy Chicken Dance... it's now. Woo Volvo Autonomous! Seriously though, it would be great if we got a good look at the finished sets. There's usually a lot of differences between prelims and the retail versions, chiefly a lack of stickers and fine details.

Try the 42068 Airport Rescue Vehicle. It should be fairly easy to build and you can motorize it. There's nothing in the 2018 lineup like that yet.

Great stuff! I just recently found out about IRUM skidders; they're beasts! Good representation of one you've got here - it looks just as powerful as its real world version.

I think that both those points are valid; however, 42070 has a very pared-down/utilitarian feel, and I think the design choices reflect that. Some tow trucks take it further! Yeah, the price sucks, not going to disagree. £179.99 is looking fairly reasonable right now... Anyhoo, back to 2018. Volvo Autonomous, hoorah!

I love this thing! Nice job Erik! Makes me wonder why the 42070 B wasn't something like this. The tyres would be a perfect fit, especially considering the image of the Delta you've used. (Not that I'm being too hard on 42070 B - I'm one of the few people on this planet who actually like it )
