  1. Funnily enough all the Transit vans I encounter are nice and shiny. There are a few I see regularly in all shades of colours, including the metallic green that TLG used back in '01.
  2. It's definitely one of those sets wherein the fun lies with the building process rather than the end result. The B-model looks like a great build as well, and at least that can carry out all its functions (no saw).
  3. Tell you what, if I'd been wearing a hat it would've flown off upon seeing those tyres. Woah.
  4. While I haven't built this set, I have noticed a disturbing trend in Technic sets recently. In 42070 I got an azure jumper plate instead of a black connector block, in 42080 it was a window pane instead of a 3L blue pin, and didn't @LucyCol run out of those while building the Mack? Not to mention @Jim's run-in with the melted flex axle in 42068...
  5. This would look great next to the EW160e! Nice job.
  6. Another quality review! I'm looking forward to the Tracked Loader, though that may be some time in coming...
  7. Judging by the general shape, placement of the trailer and function of the model I'd say this is a good representation of a forage harvester. Nice work. I'd like to build this myself!
  8. Anyone in the mood for a trip to Cape Suzette?
  9. Half expected this to be lime green, but I guess a Merlo also looks superb in orange! Wonderful work, wish I had one!
  10. According to Techlug, Lars Krogh Jensen designed this thing.
  11. 42054 has studs on the seat that can fit a minifig. Said minifig would look a bit small, but still...
  12. Especially when the end result does next to nothing. *cough*Porsche and Bugatti*cough*
  13. Well said. Sure, the winch isn't overly spectacular in practice, but it's reflective of a real mechanism and looks like great fun. That is the essence of Technic. TLG needs to bring back Racers for the big, largely nonfunctioning cars and pullbacks.
  14. This is brilliant! You've really worked in all the small details. Great work!
  15. It's used in the combo model, or at least it was before it was replaced.
  16. It only appeared in 42023 and the pullbacks 42026 and 42027 in 2014. In later versions it was replaced with a normal black worm gear. Apparently the bushings stressed too easily, which is apparent on the one I own from 42023.
  17. Funnily enough, that yellow paddle only ever came in a Racers set.
  18. Unless you want to print those instructions. Then... it costs you a lot of paper.
  19. I think it's good that TLG does this part distribution among sets now. Used to be that even small sets back in the late 90's/early 00's had parts that were unique for no good reason. Case in point, case in point, case in point. And those are just the small sets. I know that it still happens, like the blue sprockets in 42071, but it's nowhere near the level at which it used to be.
  20. I've noticed "Roue-Roue Racing" on one of the stickers. That's Aurelien Rouffiange who designed this set, then. Is every designer going to get their shot at one of these?
