  1. 1. No 2. No 3. N/A I was wondering the same, but at the same time haven't spotted any new MOCs advertised on main BL page. It is always a limited number of same MOCs being in rota.
  2. This only proves that part design/blueprints weren't lost. I suppose the part itself (I'm not sure which one you are mentioning) would be still be manufactured using new moulds. Some much more recent parts are getting new design ID when being re-released after some period not being in production. Which again, I suppose means new mould was used.Another reason I can think of against keeping all the moulds would be storage. Moulds for each and every single type of part produced would take a lot of space. I have also read somewhere, that different colours of the same part might not use same mould due to variety in specs between the coloured plastic. That would mean even more space is required. Let's assume mould does not degrade. This means it is valuable as it can always be re-used to produce some parts. The value mast be kept safe. The place used to store and protect all the moulds must be secured by means of not loosing such value from various hazards, like fire, water leaks, temperature deviation, etc. Now remember the size of place should be. The amount of money spent on keeping everything for "just in case it might be needed again, but not sure if we will" would be quite high I imagine. Would it be reasonable?
  3. I don't see how engaging switch from one side to another makes other wheel spin faster while gears for both sides are the same. Unless that extra axle is driven as well?
  4. Yes, this is exactly what TLG suggest doing. And I have proved it to be working multiple times now. source
  5. Having seen the moulds I would like to see the effort of a person trying to steal one
  6. Checking quickly shows that panels #5 and #6 are not available in blue, panels #21 and #22 are not available in yellow. White or black would be an option.
  7. As far as I'm aware moulds are getting worn out after some period being used in production. If the piece is no longer required (no more new sets containing it) there is simply no need in keeping mould you cannot really use any more.
  8. I like the shape of this car very much. Those wheels in different size add up some brutality. Sadly it can't do wheelie, but that is understandable in current shape and design.
  9. 1) There is nothing you need to achieve to get the membership. Simply making a first purchase was enough. These days I'm using this for occasional discount you get with points feature. 2) Not much really. Occasional discount with accumulated points. 3) No influence. 4) Access to Bricks'n'Pieces selection of parts from newest sets that have just become available in stores. Get every n-th BAP cup for free. 5) Maybe some unexpected freebie like poster or promo item is always nice to have.
  10. Has this set been shipped in a box or wrapped in brown packaging paper?
  11. Worldwide LUG events can be seen here.
  12. Yum, some Technic goodies this time!
  13. 2476b can be used together with part like 41533. This would allow rotating and fixing 2476b piece in one of several position like it was done with fins in 4793 set. Ah, Legostone was seconds quicker with same example
  14. My LUG is looking to order roller banner (like this) in size of about 80*200cm. This would be used on various expositions we attend to show/advertise our LUG. Since there is quite some space we are looking to understand what kind of information should there be printed apart from mentioning LUG itself and providing contact details. Or how can this valuable space be utilised effectively. I wonder if any of your LUGs have done something similar? If YES, could you please share the picture/details of your similar item? Thanks, Alex
  15. That's correct hint! Check the Mars Curiosity rover (21104 set). There is a stabiliser on top of the body, which levels the rockers - once one goes up another is being pushed down.
  16. There was a video from expo in Feb showing steering modes.
  17. It is really easy. The most time consuming is getting pictures in correct size, but as you are making custom listing you have already made a picture, right? From my experience you can't have half ready entry. It might have essential details provided, but be missing something like picture and thus pending approval. Missing stuff can always be added by another person. If you have issues adding part into catalog - post about it on forums, this will be either resolved or explained.
  18. That's for all colours. Particularly in black last time it was released was in 2000.
  19. Machinery stated in here is pretty much the same as on "Future Technic wishlist" we had a while ago. With an addition of "Ultimate" word. Basically the same, but different.
  20. Something fresh like Jaguar, McLaren or Koenigsegg.
  21. There are a few topics on photo/camera stuff in General Discussion subforum. You can find more using "search".
