Alright, so: - first, please upload this to imgur, so we can actually see it. As of now, the link does not work. - second, please describe the exact issue you have. I know this may sound a bit rude or something, but regarding technical issues, the better the problem is described, the better can it be fixed.

Papaglop had way less sources, basically no good quality top and back shots. He had close to no way of doing it right.
-
Hmmm? Can you explain a bit more what do you mean?

This was not connected to the rest. It can be done, I just did not continue developing this idea. Experiment on your own!

In theory you can even completely omit them and then whatever is attached to them, attach on absolutely anything. The only function of these, aside from lightning, is a stop for some external plating to give it a little bit more rigidity, but will work without too.

Those are at the landing gear feet, right? You can safely continue and add them later.

I dont't know honestly... the millennium falcon certainly is interesting and instantly recognizable, It is a cute build on its own and you even snuck an interesting technique using old technic bush on a stud, a connection which is not possible with modern bushes. Take the Falcon away though, and everything else loses context and becomes random bunches of technic pieces. So I don't know. It is either genius or a little bit of a meh due to being too far into abstract builds. But thats just the bricks. What is important is that it is a valuable experiment on its own and I am glad you posted it!

I love to see this finally released. I saw this design evolve and I helped a tiny bit so seeing it finalized is a great feeling. Functions - rotating guns, sliding pilot insert - those are what "makes" the ship for me. Incorporating working functions into a design, which also has to hold together and in this case, be easy enough to be buildable is a huge achievement. Great work!

Yes! Finally someone made this :D In the canon, this is a long forgotten branch of TIE designs where an Advanced prototype - like Vader's - is evolving into a bigger, more advanced ship with hyperdrive, shields, missile launchers and most notably tractor beam for immobilizing enemy starfighters in dogfight. Ultimately an even more advanced design - TIE Defender - was even better and so the Avenger development was stopped. Shame, since it is such a nice and balanced ship, visually. I am kinda missing inner spokes on the side panels, but there rest is spot on, especially the main body. This is based off the ultra-detailed fractalsponge design, right? Great choice! I am slightly concerned about hinges of the side panels: Would they hold the weight of the ship when landed without the stand?

Try 1x2 curveds instead of cheese slopes? This might be all you need to close the gaps behind the cheeses now.
-
Great execution for using those new arches. I believe the only possible way really, if someone also intends to use the 6-wide dish. Btw, maybe those 1x6 plates on the inner surfaces of the wings/panels could be swapped for inverted 1x3 tiles? Could work pretty well!

[MOC] Sabine's Masterpiece TIE Fighter - Star Wars Rebels
Jerac replied to Tom_Brick's topic in LEGO Star Wars
On the other hand, this exists, unlike the star destroyer. Unless its a case of Russel's Star Destroyer and we're unable to disprove its existence :D -
Well if everything is failing, you can take a step further and also remove the slanted slopes which form the cone. Then you could try some different approaches. Few other ideas I was contemplating: Maybe some of that will be useful.

Unfeasible for an official build, some of those steering wheels have slightly smaller ring diameter and the clip won't hold. Also, the bracket will cause outer gaps to be bigger. But that general idea of clips around something round is definitely worth exploring.
-
I am currently busy with another projects, but I'd love to incorporate this into the "official" model as a free update one day!
-
You might be onto something. Can you rotate the clips a bit more inward to put 1x1 plates on their undersides? Maybe it would match the rest of the cone?
-
I like how they are more like interpretations of original designs, instead of faithful reproductions. New sleeker a-wing looks legitimately better than the original one, longer, narrower, looking more like it is split by golden ratio. B-Wing is interesting too, though in its case I like the upright stance, but not the landing one - the wings almost touching the central wing are a big design point of the B-wing to me and not including that is a bit of a sin. What makes it great though are the colors. You can't get wrong with grey + yellow with a sprinkle of white, and you executed it perfectly. Good job!

:OOOOOOOOOOOOO :OOOOooo :ooo o_O fkin hell.

First engine swap! :D I hope it was not too hard to do? I am not sure if I am a fan of their front ends, but certainly they are cleaner. Your guns are pure awesome, and cockpit looks just as good as the original one. Good job!
-
Happy that you like it! As for the clips, rotate them way way way more inward. The idea is that the *side* of a clip is the front side of the engine, not the clip's underside. Then it will look much better.
-
Just be warned: some of them are structural. Keep the tiles which are attached to side walls of the interior, they are crucial for longitudal stability of the model. Though they can be of any color, and can really be plates.

Oh god. :D Ask me first, I'd save it for you in a txt format! As for those stores, yeah. This sucks. They can do this because a great deal of people simply don't know what is an average price for lego pieces, and so they fell prey of those people. I recommend banning (go to store page -> favorites -> mark as disliked) them, so they do not pollute your search result. There are not really that many, I have about 10 banned in europe and that's all you need to get your prices back to manageable levels.

You could but it wouldn't help. I tried few things and IF there are forces applied there, nothing really works since they can get quite big. That said I did not try an axle connector. I'll wait till more people have issues with that; maybe indeed some piece is faulty?

I didn't really have this problem. If the hinge is causing problems, you can safely get rid of it, altough the foot will flop around a bit. I pushed strong enough forward and downward that this happened: And still, both bracket and the hinge kept their place: One thing you can try is to use bigger 1x2-2x2 bracket (move it one plate forward though), then it would be way more stable - but also raised a bit more, which I did not like.
