  1. Of course it does. On the contrary, it would not be convenient at all.
  2. You can see 3 3x11 panels on the under side on the boom. It make 33 studs. Then, add 2 studs at the top, and something like 4 at the base, and you have a nearly 40 stud long boom. 8421's main boom was 32L.
  3. No. When the command is on the rotating structure, it will never make sense to motorize it. Once it rotates, how do you stop it ? edit : I think outtriggers need only one moves. So, with a "H" shapped gearbox : - LA's - winch - extend arm - outriggers
  4. I perfectly understood what you meant. And I tell you it again : it works because there is a bit of play, precisely because there is no friction. You can see such things also on the roof of 8258 or on the side of the hood of 9395. As for the roof of 8110, I would call it an illegal build this time.
  5. It doesn't. It is not attached with pin with friction but an axle.
  6. I downloaded the A-model instruction and the way the model is designed make me think that Jeppe Juul Jensen made it. Michael Jeppesen designed it.
  7. Thanks. Well, I checked the translation, and it is more or less ok. The main problem (always the same) : when you read "management" (the translation of "direction"), you have to replace that word by "steering".
  8. You should not display the photo directly on the forum. They are watermarked.
  9. Enjoy ! http://www.setechnic.com/Forum/post119452.html#p119452
  10. No, it is his MOC. I just meant that he could credit where he took the inspiration. There are numerous things that are absolutely the same on my model and on his. I think I am objective when I say that his model is much closer to mine than Cavegod's model. I guess Pete can second that too. (excepted the plate wings near the wings (2x4 instead of 3x3), the skirt is totally the same, the tail is the same and uses the cheesy slopes, tiles and grilles at the same place, the round shapes around the windscreen is the same too, the gradient uses the same technique with hinge) Again : I'm glad he has his own Slave and enjoys it. I just think it's cool to give credit. I always do it my self, even for tiny things. On my Republic Cruiser for example : http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=63769 (before the third pic) But I agree : it is not a big deal, and I can do without it. :)
  11. I saw Fuppylodders on the right of the screen for the last message posted, I immediatly thought "Here we go for stupid messages..." Bingo ! And I did not write that he stole anything. :o
  12. Really ? http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=460013
  13. Nice. But you could have give the appropriate credit. ;)
  14. I do not know the Volkswagen trucks. And I use no precise pic to do this truck. I just googled "refrigerated truck" and "camion frigo" (in french) to see some features I could includ. But yeah, when I added the round tile 1x1, I had the Volkswagen brand in mind.
  15. Hi, Here is my latest City MOC ; a regrigerated truck. I tried to include the key features this kind of truck has. Hope you like.
  16. There is no clue that prooves that the chassis is the same. At least for now. But regarding the detail (stickers, dish in the front, arm, wheels, lights, mudguards) I can not believe the guy came up with exactly the same solutions without looking at Sariel's model. Who could believe such a coincidence ? So, the question is not "Did the guy take inspiration on Sariel's model ?". Cause the answer is obviously yes. But rather "Where does plagiarism begin ?"
  17. Very nice and clear display, and short but efficient video. I wish every display and video were like that.
  18. Thank you for your comments guys. :) Regarding the parts not available, I did not check. But I would say more or less all the golden parts, some dark blue/red/green parts, and many dark tan parts.
  19. The thing is that slick tyres would look plain ugly on a Lego model... No doubt about it.
  20. For Lego, a part still in production is not characterized by a shape but by a shape AND a color. So, the part IS precisely out of production. They used a 7L thin liftarm because it is in production since 2008. So, it makes things easier and cheaper in the production process, instead of reintroducing the yellow 6L thin liftarm.
  21. Hello, Here is my first train MOC. It is a 1480 part cable car. I did it yesterday. Well, I won't be able to make it with actual bricks. Because some the parts may not exist in the color I need. These pics are LDD screenshots. But renders would be better. If someone is ok to make nice renders, I can supply the LDD file. Email me at setechnic[at]gmail[dot]com What do you think about it ? Any suggestion regarding the color scheme is welcome.
