Lego Technic 2013 sets & info
Anio replied to captainmib's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well, I could write a lot about it. But not that easy in English. I think it is more simple for me to give you the link to the review. => http://www.techlug.f...ueur-42008-2013 Just hope that translaters will make something readable. If not, ask, I can try to explain with simple words. -
Lego Technic 2013 sets & info
Anio replied to captainmib's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I did a review of that set. Yes, it looks good. But it turns out that it is poorly engineered and virtually unplayable. -
I have just added it on page 7.
-
HD pdf instruction. And XML file for bricklink if you ask. No 3D file supplied.
-
Yes, they are.
-
1) About 800€ 2) I don't know. Perhaps Brickshelf has such a model.
-
Well, it appears to me to be the best SW model since the UCS Millenium Falcon in 2007...
-
The most amazing Star Wars set I've ever seen for years... The model is awesome. I can already imagine how many childs will dream about such a model...

Your Best Technic Bargains
Anio replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
8421 MISB for 18€. :D Well, this have been compensated with a 10175 that I had to buy twice to get one (basically, 200€ for this model :/ ). -
Because doing a 4km Lego train track requires to be thoughtful ? If yes, ok, fine, I apologize. :)
-
If I stack 150 000 1x1 plates, do you think I can have a world record ? Seriously, what a pointless record.
-
A "little" problem to attach the bottom middle edge. :D Frousmoul will do his best to provide the new version ASAP. Each member who bought the instruction will be e-mailed or PM.
-
@ everyone who bought the instruction : the instruction will be very slightly updated in the next days/weeks. Few parts will be removed (9 parts, exactly). But 2 plates 1x4 dark bluish gray will be added. Add this item in your BL orders if you do not have any in your spare parts.
-
He told me that a friend of him designed the model and that he could sell the instruction. @_@
-
Fine. A new topic with all UCS stickers indexed could be fine. With very high quality scans only. THAT would be useful.
-
Many people do so. And obviously, none share his high quality scanned files. So selfish...
-
It seems so. :) The guy finally answerd my emails. :) Thank you to everyone who helped me. :)

We used to do that on TechLUG. It was the "kéké-C" (which could be translated by something like "Watizit"). http://www.techlug.fr/Forum/topic1880.html But we played with something "slighty" more difficult, and it was imho "slighty" more interesting. Can you guess ? =P

Yes, missuse the word. 10179 is the UCS model. (however, with the word "UCS scale" I rather meant "UCS built" ; in Lego, the word scale means nothing) 10221 is a crappy exception. Saying that a minifig scaled model is just a model in which you can put minifigs is very true for 99,99% of the Lego sets.
-
No. 10179 is the UCS-scale Falcon. 7965 and 10179 both have minifig in the ship, and so, both can be considered as minifig scaled. Never forget that minifig scale is not a scale. To sum up : UCS : style of building with high details and accuracy. Sometimes minifig scale. System : same as playset. Very often in minifig scale. Minifig scale : a model in which you can put minifig, whatever the size of the model.

Great ! So, at the moment, it is the longest copper flex ever made. I will have to buy a couple of them. :p
-
Yes, it would be interesting to know that. However, the glossy plastic sheet of the sail seem very cheap. 6210 seemed to have better sails. Can you also measure the length of the copper flex located at the front of the barge please ? (length in cm or studs) Thank you.

No. a 42x 9493 is a 42x9493. But with 5M bricks, be sure I am skilled to do something better and more interessting. In fact, I think more or less everyone can build something more interesting with 5M bricks...
-
Why a 42x 9493 ? Doing a 42x #### is very boring.
