Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club
XimenaPaulina replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Nice match too CM, I know our paths will cross again in the future. I concur, your first adjudicating chore was flawless. Keep it up and thanks once again. -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa

But shouldn't the host always have to be fair and impartial to everyone? Have there been cases where a host lies and has been untrustworthy? Just curious. -

Yes I did, I didn't really expect it to work but looks like it did. Round 3 DS sent! -
What was the last movie you watched?
XimenaPaulina replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Gran Torino, stayed up late last night when I caught it up on HBO. I really like this movie, this is actually the second time I've seen it, and the unusual story really strikes me a lot. -

Great job Captain on the first round ADJ, everything looks fine to me. Round 2 DS sent! -
I really think you did well on the landscaping Perterz, the rough uneven terrain with splotches of different colored soil really looks good. Pretty neat work too on the mix-&-matching of minifigs parts to come up with those effective custom figs. The whole vig really evokes a post-apoc terrorist-like feel into it. Great job overall!

Amazing use of those curves 74louloute! And here I am thinking that such curvaceous types of vehicles cannot be built in minifig-scale, but you really proved me wrong. (You've certainly given me an idea on how to make a classic VW Beetle in minifig-scale ). A really fantastic job on this one!

Very interesting build Kumpelkante, the murkiness of the swamp and the overall rundown look of the hut really fits a voodoo-witch abode well. Nice work!
-
Pretty neat digital modification on Jango Fett's Slave I ADHO! I really like the subtle but significant improvements and additional elements that you did on this one. And thanks for sharing the LXF, this will be a great addition to the SW line-up in the LDD MOC Index.

Thanks Aanchir for this very rare Hero Factory LDD MOC. Putting to good use LDD 4.1's new Bionicle/HF elements. Now R-2-449 will no longer be alone.

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club

Ooh a new adjudicator, no worries, we're here to assist you if you need any help. I'll send my DS now. -
I think 150 studs is too long. By my calculations using the Republic Gunship as the reference (close to minifig-scale LEGO model) and using wookieepedia's dimensions, the CTT is 2.8 times longer than the RGS, so translating to studs: RGS ~ 42 studs, CT ~ 117 studs. 88 studs is like two RGS long, which is quite ok IMO. I'll try to provide some input when the build is progressing. But the idea of a SNOT build is really promising.

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa
XimenaPaulina replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
For first timers, I guess having a Power Role right away might seem to be more difficult, but both you and Kartoffel really did well (with some bit of luck in the side finding each other on Night One) effectively hiding your roles throughout the game. And even if I had no power role, I didn't really feel helpless at all, that is because I found a 'trust group' right from the start (and luckily you, the Cop, were one of them). That's why I'm also impressed how Baylego/Vanya played without much private communication with our 'core town group'. -
MOC: Nuclear Submarine (minifig scale)
XimenaPaulina replied to Paulski's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Minifig-scale? Now that must be one huge sub if built in real bricks. Pretty neat model, the overall shape and basic elements are nicely captured, and I could understand the conservative exterior finish which is accurate with real subs. May I ask the piece count of this before I open the LXF? (might crash my PC if it's too high). -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa
XimenaPaulina replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I don't know if it's a customary thing for mafia games or not, but I remember seeing players posting their Role PMs at the conclusion, I believe it's in Bloodbrick or Werewolf. With regards to the roles, I'm quite ok with having only the basic roles as it really made the game simpler and easier to understand for us newbies. Though I wonder how I would've fared if I played my first game in a regular mafia game with all the experienced "All-Stars" and advanced roles in the mix. -

Nice. Anyone care to adjudicate for the two adjudicators? -
Very nice modular apartment FC! Four/Five floors - that's one tall building alright (by LEGO standards). I also like the variation in texture and colors of the walls, it's a good thing you did that instead of going the easier but a bit boring smooth finish. Great job!

Oh wow, another magnificent creation Hoexbroe, the whole build is simply stunningly beautiful. I must say the overall grandness of this MOC steps from the fact that the individual elements are great creations themselves (the various cool-looking vehicles, the warehouse, the two fishing boats) and effectively combined together they form this visually-appealing display. Truly an outstanding piece of artwork!

Now that is looking great BadLeo! I thought it was quite impossible to achieve the curvaceous look of the Sydney Opera House, it seems you have proven me wrong. The use of those slopes is indeed an ingenious solution for the curved sloping shape, my only concern is its stability. Is it fragile? Still, great job so far and looking forward for the completion of this project.

MOC: Adventure Offroad Vehicle
XimenaPaulina replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
That's one mean-looking off-roader Pep, I love the use of those huge balloon tires. The various large details is a perfect fit for this massive truck, it even has a motorbike holder. Great work! -
Uhm guys, what you're talking about has nothing to do with the topic, so you might want to continue your discussion in the dedicated CW topic in C&M.

Vader with custom light-up Lightsaber
XimenaPaulina replied to M<0><0<DSWIM's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Of course this one deserves it's own post, aside from being one cool Miniland Vader figure, the lightsaber even lights (yes, I see it glowing now). Great job as usual Mood! -
VerSen, thank you for officially sharing this review to EB. I've seen this before in the Pirates forum and it's really nice to see every detail of this set through the various angles and the overall excellent photography. This may not be the best set in the PoTC line, but it sure has some interesting new pieces to offer. But it's still a pass for me, and I'd just divert resources in getting QAR.

MOC: Where does he get those wonderful toys?
XimenaPaulina replied to Solscud007's topic in LEGO Licensed
That's a pretty neat brickbuilt bat-a-rang-grappling gun Solscud, it really well captures the shape of the one in the reference image. And it even has a built-in megaphone function too!
