Very well done vig I must say Jammie, the construction of the wall is pretty good, as are the brickbuilt weapons of the clones. The effective positioning of the minifigs really gives the impression of an impending surprise attack, though I don't understand the combination of Phase I and II clones (transition phase perhaps?). But still great job overall.

Nicely done vig sok, looks like brickbuilt SW creatures are the 'in-thing' recently. The whole build depicts the essence of the mission log very well. Good work!

Happy Birthday to our Fellow blueandwhite! Here's your cake... Nah, too girly... Here's something more manly (I hope you like adidas) Enjoy your day! Happy Birthday to other celebrants as well!

What a bad-a$$ pair of chopper bikes TM! I think the size is just about right and I really like the way you brickbuilt both with some pretty neat details (chrome shocks, diamond headlight, etc.). Very well done!

Now this is quite a unique entry, something that we wouldn't normally see in standard sets, though I have to say this mechanical desert scout does have an interesting design and build. Nice work!

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
XimenaPaulina replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I understand how it's difficult to search through 500+ pages, so to help you out a bit, here's the link to the discussion topic. The SW Advent Calendar is pretty much confirmed, as a preliminary pic has leaked out last February (and front-paged in EB). And AFAIK, this is the first advent calendar for Star Wars. I'll leave this question for a little while before merging it to the rest of the general questions. -
Looks pretty good, certainly much better and more recognizable than your GG one. I really like how you achieved the helmet with visor details.

That's very gracious of you Lars to share the instructions, like the others I might give this a try since I've always passed on all of TLG's versions (rightfully so). Thanks!

Let's share our funny interesting photos!
XimenaPaulina replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow this thread is at an all-time high with the recent fabulous entries! Your lighting is magnificent as always smokebelch! And WampaStompa: that slime tunnel shot is amazing! -
I've never commented here before but I gotta say the quality of the photos here are really quite impressive. I especially like yours designholic since it combines excellent photography with very humorous story lines. Great job everybody!

WIP: City Section 1
XimenaPaulina replied to alienwar9's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Wow, your massive digital designing is really at its peak with this ultra-creation alienwar! I'd love to include this in the Index, but I would have to put a stern "possible-PC-crashing" warning on the ridiculous piece count of the LXF. Anyway, really an excellent job on this one! -
Congratulations Admiral! I may not be a Pirate but I'm glad to see a new fellow Regulator joining in the ranks. Now grab some beer to go with your croissants! Cheers!

Very nice review Cavey! It's really good to have the opportunity to have a closer look at this rare set through this review. The build of the sub is very well done IMO, especially with the overall SNOT build that we don't normally see in regular sets. Hope to see more of these Cuusoo sets in the future.

Pretty neat LDD MOC Paulski! Even if it's not minifig-scale I must say it still looks really good as a system-scale model. Nice work!
-
Pretty good micro-scale rendition of GG's starfighter Butterman! You did well getting the basic shape and color right considering the parts' size restrictions at such a small scale. Nice work.
-
Nice attempt at a GG CubeDude Butterman, though I think it needs a few more details even for a CubeDude, like the additional pair of arms and GG's signature 4 lightsabers. It's a good start and I'm sure you could still improve it further.

Thanks for sharing this whung! (I would never doubt the reliability of our Numero Uno Bothan Spy) Even for someone who has never been a fan of the Imperial Fleet I really find this UCS Executor a very promising display model. I don't actually mind the figs, they aren't really something new to be excited about, though it's quite weird seeing out-of-scale minifigs included in a UCS set.
-
Pretty neat entry Flare, I think this will make for a good small set, though having a base with a significant large piece count is something we don't usually see in standard sets (but should be a welcome development if ever we see one in the future). Nice work and good luck in the contest!

I honestly think this MOC deserves its own topic since creating such a complicated geometric shape is quite tricky to do especially in precisely getting the correct angles to come up with the final design. Normally it's a basic requirement for LDD MOCs to have a separate topic but I'll include this in the Index because it's a worthy addition IMO. But next time don't be hesitant to share your creations on separate topics, for all we know other members might find your designs interesting and educational and might encourage healthy and informative discussion. @DLuders & Giovanne: already added your LXFs, thanks for sharing. @ADHO: I cannot add your movie MOCs because there are no LXFs. And if ever I'll add them, I'll put them together in one entry only (since there are quite many) and just provide the link to your topic.

Very interesting vig Flare! Somehow this reminds me of Masked Builder's previous builds with the floating rocks and the brickbuilt creatures. I must say that custom Sgt. Smash is very well done.
-
Very nice brickbuilt rendition of this rabbit cartoon character aresze. I love the simple yet effective SNOT build of this one. Well done!

The Forest Mafia Confirmation & Discussion thread
XimenaPaulina replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Even as a starter at these mafia games, I could very well relate to the 'PMing angle' of the game (and probably the most important lesson I've learned), since I spent most my time in Mafia School formulating strategies with my trusted allies privately. I understand the current 'deadness'/inactivity of the game thread since I've seen this on the later parts of the Mafia School (even how basic it is), especially when the Town have 'figured it out' already. I think the same is now happening with the Forest, it has come to a point where there are already a core group of Townies who trust each other and are just strategizing privately, and making public pronouncements might endanger their plans so they stick to PMs. That also goes the same for the Scums. It doesn't make for a good public entertainment, but that's what you get from having the best of the best mafia players playing together and against each other. -
Absolutely amazing creation sonicstarlight! Every bit of detail is excellently done from the overall futuristic look, to the effective use of curved slopes, the smooth surface finish, and intricate details both on the external design and the interiors. Simply a magnificent work of art!

Another very nice creation sok! You're quite on a roll today huh? I'm glad to see a brickbuilt version of this CW vehicle, and I'd have to say you got the overall basic shape and design pretty well. I don't know if this is already a finished MOC, but if ever you decide to improve this, I think you could make the dome base of the gun larger and nearer the center. Some SNOT building for a smoother surface finish would also improve the overall look. But as it is, this one is already a good-looking version. Well done!

Very interesting conversion of the MTT to this bounty hunter ship for Bossk. Was this is in anyway inspired by the CW episode about the Trandoshans? I really like the various features that you've put in this build - the prisoner cage, the nicely-done interior details, the gunner's station, and even the inclusion of a small speeder bike - these really make this a very playable MOC. Very good job!
