Thanks for the comments angel. Regarding the wedge suurounding the cockpit, I couldn't find the right type of wedge to achieve the real look of the JSF, so I just stuck with the curved bricks used in the official TLG sets. And yes, I would have wanted to make a "pointier" front tip for the JSFs, I would have wanted to use the technique of DutchRebel's Plo Koon's JSF using 4 X 1 slopes for the tip, but unfortunately, there are no dark red 4 x 1 slopes available for Kit's and Ahsoka's JSF, so I just stuck with the 6 x 3 wedge plates. Thanks 'Clone O'Patra. I also would like to make the JSFs for the other jedis, but if I'm right there are still no official images of Mace Windu's Delta 7B right (and for the other jedis as well)? I only know Mace's purple-and-white Phase II jedi starfighter. If SW will make the JSFs for the other jedis, I will surely make my LEGO version of them to add to my collection.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I'm happy you liked my collection. I mistakenly took the bottom photo even before finishing the white paint job on the starburst pattern, my bad. I was too lazy to take another photo, hehe. Thanks for the cake Forresto! The green dome of Kit's JSF are the same for both pics. It might just be the bad lighting I'll need to improve on my photography for next time.

Hi everyone! After 4 months of planning, waiting and building, 1000+ pieces acquired, $$$ spent, and countless hours of 'bricking', I'm proud to present to you, my Jedi Starfighter Collection.... This project is one my first MOCs, so pls. bear with my unprofessional and slightly blurry photos. I initially intended only to make a starfighter for my favorite jedi, Kit Fisto, but along the way I got interested and decided to make the rest of the JSFs for the other jedis as well. These starfighters are the Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptors used by the Jedi during the Clone Wars. The design of these starfighters were based on TLG's official version, but with significant modifications. I didn't have any of TLG's JSFs so I built these starfighters entirely from scratch. Some of the modifications I did were: - Corrected color scheme - Shorter front hull - Enclosed astromech compartment - Shorter rear and rear Flaps - Modified engine boosters - Removed all playability features (flick missiles, droid pop-up mechanism, etc.) Let's start with Obi-wan Kenobi's red and white Jedi Starfighter: Comparison with the TLG version and the official JSF: Rear shot: Close-up: Obi-wan and R4-P17 Anakin Skywalker's gray and yellow Jedi Starfighter: Comparison with the TLG version and the official JSF: Rear shot: Close-up: Anakin and R2-D2 Ahsoka Tano's dark red and white Jedi Starfighter: Comparison with the TLG version and the official JSF: Rear shot: Close-up: Ahsoka and R7-A7 Plo Koon's dark blue and white Jedi Starfighter, the Blade of Dorin Comparison with the TLG version and the official JSF: Rear shot: Close-up: Plo Koon and R7-F5 (custom printed) And last but not the least, Kit Fisto's dark red, white, and lime green Jedi Starfighter Comparison with the official JSF (no TLG version): Rear shot: Close-up: Kit Fisto and R6-H5 (used R4-P77) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope you liked my collection, C&Cs are welcome!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
XimenaPaulina replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hi guyz! I just want to share with you a new(?) photo of the upcoming Lego Set #8683-1: LEGO Minifigure Series 1. I remember seeing this rumored set a few months back and I don't know if this was posted already, if it was, then I apologize if this isn't new news. Anyway, I must say that the minifig selections are great, with new torsos, faces, hair pieces and elements never before seen in any Lego set. This is really a must-have for all minifig collectors and Lego fans in general too. -
1. WOW. 2. Another masterful creation from pedro. 3. Damn It! My dreams of entering (and hopefully winning) in this BP contest shattered the moment I saw this entry Really really great job on all aspects: - great concept for a BP - who wouldn't want to build a jedi army? - very professionally looking, full detailed box art - just like (or even better) than the real thing! - cool choices of jedi minifigs - trully a good way to get Rodian & Mon Cal minifigs. Plus, customizable options (additional hairpiece, interchangeable torsos/legs) - pretty decent speeder for a battlepack, much better than all the BP vehicles TLG released Undoubtedly the BEST BP entry I've seen so far. As always, great great job pedro!

I think TLG will release Plo Koon's Starfighter not because of the Plo Koon minifig but because of the JSF itself, which most will agree is a thing of beauty (the color scheme most especially). I think most people will buy this set to get the JSF, and this will be agreat chance for others to get Plo's minifig in a much cheaper set. Also, I think people bought (and will buy) the 7676 RGS because of the RGS itself, no matter what jedi minifig is included, Plo's minifig is just an added bonus... Personally, I would have preferred another Jedi minifig, but is there any jedi that can boast of a better-looking starfighter?

My Top 5 MOC/MOD/Dioramas (in no particular order): - Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter by DutchRebel - Naboo Starfighter by Dutchrebel - Emperor's Arrival by MortenSonne - Tactical Droid TX-20 by Hopeso009 - AT-RT by pedro

Based on the TCW Season II trailer, here are sets/minifigs I think (and wish) we might get... Ships: Assajj Ventress' ship (not familiar w/ the exact model name, also appeared in the Clone Wars Cartoon Series) - a nice medium size-set, the ship can be easily built from existing LEGO parts, and will be a cheaper way to get a Ventress minifig... Minifigs: a. Ki Adi Mundi - probably a large set portraying the battle scene in the trailer. Any set with a brand new Jedi minifig is great, and the first LEGO Ki Adi Mundi minifig will be a great addition to any Jedi minifig collection b. BX-series droid commando - probably in a battle pack or any set with these new elite droid commandos - the new elite droids have already appeared in the first season, and their continuing appearance in Season II might signal that they will be made my TLG, these droids will be a good addition to any droid army, and is a much signficant improvement to the clumsy and rather ineffective battle droids... c. Cade Bane - most probably we will get this bounty hunter since he might be appearing on multiple episodes (already did in Season I finale), hopefully in a Bounty Hunter Battlepack. d. Mandalorian Battle Pack - especially with the Mandalorian speaking in the trailer... e. Padme - it's about time to do a CW Padme, she's a very important character in the TCW series to be ignored f. Duchess Satine - Obi-wan Kenobi's love interest might find her way into the LEGO world, but if Satine gets a minifig moreso should Padme... These are just some of the things I think we'll get (hopefully) based on the trailer...

I think it ain't that confusing. Yes Obi-wan and Anakin did switch their drinks to avoid getting drugged, but what they drank still knocked them out. During the next episode, if I remember right, Obi-wan acknowledged that the drinks were "stronger" than they expected/or that they might have drank too much. Well, just goes to show that Jedis are too serious in life and don't know how to take a drink or two...

If these sets become official, then LEGO has somewhat given a balance among PT/OT/TCW to satisfy most of the fans... Among all these 'speculated' sets, I'm most interested with the Freeco Speeder Bike and ARC-170... The Freeco Bike will be probably based on the TCW season 1 episode "Trespass", which might give us a cold assault trooper minifig (new) or (another) obi-wan/anakin.. But I wish they just did a BARC speeder set based on the upcoming TCW season 2, where we briefly saw in the trailer Rex riding one, this would be great addition to my clone army building... As for the ARC-170, i would definitely be getting these as I missed the previous one...

Nice work there Mraz ... Just a couple of comments though, the ARC Gunship (as far as I know) does not have the front sliding doors (as the pic illustrates), and the rancor/shark noseart can be further improved using Photoshop/Paint... Nevertheless, the overall modification was a nice getaway from the rather plain (and boring?) official RGS... I am also currently modifying my own into a custom and more realistic RGS, I'll post pics when it's finished...

What Sets Have You Gotten For The Actual Set/Vehicle
XimenaPaulina replied to AoNZ's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My two most favorite SW ships: 1. Republic Gunship (7676) - TCW 2. X-Wing Fighter (6212) - OT -
The Minifigure is probably the most iconic figure that symbolizes LEGO. Throughout the years, our beloved minifigs have evolved from the simple smiling face dude to the more detailed ones of the current generation. Today, billions of minifigures have already been produced by TLG. If you were to choose among the hundreds (or thousands) of unique LEGO minifigures ever released, what will your choices be? Choose the top minifig for you in the 5 most popular LEGO themes: Town, Pirates, Castle, Space, and Licensed/Other Themes. Here are my choices: Town - The Original LEGO Policeman - the first ever minifig released by TLG on 1978 --> grand daddy of all minifigs! Space - The classic Space Police! Pirates - the 'ol ye Pirate Captain Castle - the majestic King Others/Licensed - Darth Vader representing Star Wars as the most successful licensed theme These are my top minifigs of all time, what's yours?

I would like to see the Naboo Royal Cruiser, in all its shiny silver chrome glory... (although it will be unlikely that TLG will produce this, but hoping!)
-
S@H price for each set is AUD 16.99 in Australia. So it might sell around ~$15 in the US. I'll be getting the Yoda-Dooku-Mace set via BL in AUS @ US$15.

Yeah this is a BAD time for SW minifig sellers, but a GREAT time for minifig collectors. Honestly, I won't feel bad for the sellers 'coz I think they are charging way too high for the minifigs. Imagine a Dooku for 40$??? when you can buy the whole Solar Sailer set for 50$! This is just how the business goes, so they better drop their prices now or lose value of their minfigs...
-
Yeah I know it's bad for those who have already bought the large sets just to get the minifigs. On the other hand, it's great for the minifig collectors who don't have to buy the whole set just to get the minifig. For me, i hope they make this Jedi Magnet Set - Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Luminara Unduli Although this is unlikely, i hope they release this so I won't have to buy the RGS and Hyperboost Drive sets just to get Plo Koon and Kit Fisto!

852554 and 852555 are already available in S@H in some countries. No confirmation yet on when the other magnet sets will be released. Not yet even sure if the othe are real sets, just got the images in brickshelf, but based on the ordered number of the sets, the other sets are probably real.

This is really great news to all SW minifig collectors (just like me)! This way we no longer have to buy large expensive sets just to get the oh-so-cool minifigs. By the way, there are other yet-to-be-released magnet sets (images from Brickshelf). 852551 - Young Anakin Skywalker, Naboo Fighter, Darth Maul 852552 - Boba Fett, Slave Leia, Imperial Royal Guard 852553 - Imperial Scout Trooper, Rebel Alliance Pilot, Imperial Trooper? 852554 - Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader 852555 - CW Yoda, Count Dooku, Mace Windu Gotta get all of these! Just imagine, at 50 euros, you'll be able to get 15 SW minifigs with an assortment of weapons/accessories! What a great way for TLG to commemorate 10 years of LEGO Star Wars!
