D2C Contest: Museum of Antiquities
XimenaPaulina replied to TooMuchCaffeine's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Very well done entry TMC! The external design of the museum looks pretty good particularly the arch in the entrance. The interior details also fits the PQ theme nicely with all the various PQ elements. Great job! -

Great duel Ron! Thanks for the ADJ once again Tamamono. -
Looks pretty good. I'm not much familiar with TLG's version but this one captures the basic overall shape and detailing of the reference material rather well IMO. Nice work and thanks for sharing!

Know Your Enemy by Green Day http://www.youtube.c...h?v=uN0UZ1EM-Jk I love that song too!

So it is what it is in the poster. It doesn't really bother me, a black shadow ARF is still a cool exclusive fig IMO. Maybe it'll look a lot better once we see clearer pictures.

Same here, it really made me smile. Really effective posing of the Stormie.

Enjoy your birthday MB! Cheers to more LEGO for you and amazing MOCs from you!

Very nice one morgan! I just recently saw this movie on tv so I remember very well this funny-looking over-sized helmet, and you really did a great job replicating it in a custom minifig. It's even nice to see the various stages of this customization.

Post-Apocalyptic Government Soldier.

Very well done custom TSN! The dirty-looking metallic grey color really fits the post-apoca theme well. Nice work! -

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
XimenaPaulina replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Amazing! The landscape is developing quite nicely (special mention to those two rock formations). And that bridge is very cleverly done (love the detailing). Can't wait to see more. -

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club

Your fellow Slytherin Death-Eater (and soon-to-be Dark Lord) Diana Fabray would love to. Now all we need is a referee. -
Legends of the Wizarding World
XimenaPaulina replied to pedro's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Legends is just an expansion of the current Wizards Duel wherein additional spells/abilities and pets are introduced. There is no separate duelling thread and I believe previous wins (before this was announced) count towards becoming Grand Sorcerer/Dark Lord. So those who continued to play (and win) even after attaining Auror/Death-Eater rank will reap the benefits earlier. So keep on duelling guys! And keep an eye for more major announcements. -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
XimenaPaulina replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Same here, the R-rated adult in me would like to see some 'Wookiee-ripping-Transdoshan's-arms-off' action, but I understand it's a kid's show. Still, I wonder how 'cool' would that action scene look like. -
Ooh, excellently done ship Delta62! I'm really lovin' the unusual but quite unique undulating overall shape, as well as the dark bley strip detail over the light bley body. The use of that cockpit piece for the bridge looks great too. Simply impressive work overall!

Uhm, I'm already using the 2x3s for the back repulsors right from the very start (I used the 4x2s for the larger front repulsor). Take a second look. And I've actually modified the blasters too (which I'm really quite happy since I think I nailed it right), I'm just too lazy to take pics now. Maybe I'll just show it together with the rest of Part 2 of this series (in some weeks time).

I would have to agree with the tiger here, I also usually get inspiration just by watching tv, movies, listening to music, or from what I see outside on my way to and from work. The important thing I guess is to 'never force the issue' and just let inspiration come to you naturally. I believe that's where the best creations come from.

Wow this WIP is already looking fantastic! The whole diorama looks really movie accurate even if it's still unfinished. The individual Tatooine vehicles are nicely done MOCs themselves. I'm excited to see the finished product, truly an impressive work so far Kost & Davor!

I actually considered using that set-up, and I know that is the most logical way based on the reference images, but I think using the normal handlebars is 'too easy' of a solution. I will still do the brickbuilt approach for the handlebars and will drop double steering vane step-up eventually. I'm actually tweaking some of the inaccurate elements right now and will post the improved version after some time.

Yeah, I didn't really expect this topic will spark a controversy, though I'm glad everything is fine now (hopefully). And thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it.

Dark Side Funnies Comment #354: Looks like Sugi and Embo are doing something 'fishy'. Maybe that's why they didn't want Anakin and Obi-Wan to join (and spoil their 'fun').

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa
XimenaPaulina replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Oh yeah I remember reading about these roles, so in these cases the host isn't technically lying since the results will be 'skewed' based on the insanity of the power role. Now I understand what Sandy's saying about trusting the host with only the basic roles.
