[WIP] 9 Axle Mobile Crane
Junpei replied to Saberwing40k's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow! That's huge. I think you'll need at least 10 pneumatic cylinders to lift that, maybe even something like Bricktrain used in his mobile crane: That's a lot of Technic. -
Oh. Well I guess I shouldn't have expected it to be all Lego... The engine is really great though, no non-Lego parts there.

Worst Technic Sets of all Time
Junpei replied to Rishab N's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
8069 is pretty bad. The bucket tilting mechanism And on the subject of the Power Puller, don't forget about the steering -
Oh my god, it's adorable! Maybe I should try my hand at a mini flagship sometime. I wish Lego made sets like this...

Top Customer Rated Technic Sets
Junpei replied to JM1971's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think he's asking why the used version is more expensive than the new one. I've seen things like that on BL before, it really doesn't make any sense... -
Technic Black Parts
Junpei replied to DrJB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Black parts are not my favorite. They just look more boring than even light bley, and are much harder to photograph, and as Lipko said, you can't see details very well. And about topics like this- while I agree that Alasdair's comment might have not been constructive, there are a bit too many topics like these lately... -
[MOC] Container Truck
Junpei replied to pbeishuizen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Awesome first MOC man! Welcome to Eurobricks. I really love how you incorporated advanced steering geometry on such a small scale, it really makes the model stand out.- 12 replies

Could you post how you did this in the lego hydraulics thread? I'd like to see how you did it. -

This topic really should be pinned. Shouldn't be any need to bump it at all.

My First Crawler (WIP)
Junpei replied to Junpei's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Ok, I get what you're saying now. I think I will try it as is first, and if it doesn't work, I will modify it Oh, and by as is I mean with some modifications I'll make soon to make it stronger. -
My First Crawler (WIP)
Junpei replied to Junpei's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have used all five gears in the hub because without them, there is a lot of bump steer due to the pinhole in the center of the wheel as opposed to an axle hole. I'm not sure I get exactly what you're saying, where should I be putting the 12t gear? -
My First Crawler (WIP)
Junpei replied to Junpei's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I thought of that, and it is a good option, besides two things - ground clearance as well as gear reduction as you have already stated. The vehicle has poor ground clearance with the current setup and even less with that. -
My First Crawler (WIP)
Junpei replied to Junpei's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I guess. But I think I'll have to change the mounting points. I want as few u-joints as I can though, as the drive will transmitted through a total of 8 u-joints, and 12 if I used that. I will definitely consider it though! -
My First Crawler (WIP)
Junpei replied to Junpei's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Ok, I'll try to fix that! But I don't want to make the ground clearance any lower, and it seems like I would need reinforcement on the top and bottom. :/ Well, I guess I'll try anyways. Oh wait, I see a solution. Will do that later. -

Oh, I guess you're right. But it's something very similar, I got them mixed up. -
LEGO Minecraft (Minfigure Scale) 2014 Rumors and Discussion

Dat sword.... I will never question the moulding quality of Lego ever again. OK, maybe I will. But not for a while. -
Gee's General Newbie Topic

You should enter this in the Technic Challenge! What's wrong with the steering? Is it just too fast? -

My First Crawler (WIP)
Junpei replied to Junpei's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks man! I'm starting to like studless a bit more now. Well, I think I'll just try to finish this project first and see how it turns out. Then maybe I'll build something much more simple. :) Oh, sorry. I forgot to say that I'm using these wheels on it which give it a 3:1 planetary gear reduction ratio: BTW, there are 31 gears on the axle alone
