  1. I dunno, I just have a need to create and Lego is a great way to satiate it. The blade comes from this. Thanks!
  2. Thanks everybody! :D
  3. Built for my pal Iggy. It's my reinterpretation of his self-moc as some kind of space faring mercenary commando guy. The build didn't start out as the character but then I built the head and the colors fit and yeah you get the point. The torso has been a design I wanted to try for a long while now. Thanks for having a look!
  4. Thanks everyone! I got second place in the competition, after being tied for first.
  5. I've had this built for some time now, but am only just now posting it because it was entered in a contest, the rules of which prevented me from doing it. Anyway, yeah, this is just Disney's Goofy, had a lot of fun with the build. Not entirely satisfied with the arms or feet, but it was the best I could do with the parts I had available. Thanks for taking a look!
  6. Bow down to Kappasoth, Lord of Shellfire, ruler of the Turtle Underworld!
  7. Thanks guys! Yeah, I ran out of the pearly silver fingers half way so I settled for the closest thing. It's not perfect, I know, but it's all I could do.
  8. Just a cartoony bot missing some gray matter. Not really much to say about this, just wanted to use some new parts I got. Thanks for taking a look!
  9. Thanks! And yeah, those prefab dinosaur figures were my main inspiration for the colors, plus the fact that I have a lot of black as opposed to earth tones. Glad it worked out!
  10. So yeah, I made a dinosaur, hyped up by TF4. I didn't even like the movie :I Sorry for not taking more pictures, I couldn't think of more creative angles and poses. And I was a bit lazy. Thanks for taking a look!
  11. This is obviously a crude shop of Hakann and Meltdown, with some extra bits added on.
  12. You've kind of already listed most of them, there's the apish arms, the flat thin torsos the, huge feet, the stalk necks, the arms and legs of the same length and I could go on. While I can undersntd the argument of it being stylized and intentional, the end result just does not look good at all, in mine, and as you've said, many other people's opinions. The Toa sets that had proportions closest to those of humans were the Metru. And while the Mata also have stylized proportions, theirs just work much better than those of an Inika build, again, just my opinion. Plus, the Mata didn't have the whole thin torso and long, thin neck problem.
  13. Yes, the Inika proportions are horrid, they're indefensible.
  14. Not fond of the skinny elbows or tire shins at all, but the head is pretty cool. It's impressive that a construct this large can even stand on its own though, props for that.
  15. Thanks everybody!
  16. So after I had completed the Ichigo Gundam, I kind of went into the opposite direction and made some smaller builds, using the awesome new eye print parts available in the Mixel sets. Most of these are just some fun experiments in shaping and character design, nothing too serious at all. They were pretty quick builds too, not taking me more than an hour or two to complete each. The first and most unrefined one, mostly built to use the colors and kanohi. Jheemarssun, the Lizard King. Some kind of tiny bird thing. Sir Leoraph Donmike, a turtle guard for Jheemarsun. And a worm. So yeah, these were just a fun change of pace from building robots and bigger stuff. I do have plans for some greater things however...
  17. I chose the name because the finished thing reminded me of a strawberry-vanilla ice cream. :v Thanks everybody for the compliments!
  18. I know there's an over saturation of these at the moment, but I really really wanted to build my own. The moc was built over the course of a few days, starting as a followup to my Buster Gear and then evolving into what it is right now. So this brings us to Ichigo, it's not based off of any Mobile Suit in particular, but I wanted to capture the basic design of a generic hero mech. It probably gets upgraded mid-season with more advanced weaponry and equipment :v I think this was my most ambitious project yet. So yeah, your comments and criticism is greatly appreciated!
  19. ////WARNING///// Boss class enemy approaching ////WARNING//// So, there's been sort of a Giant robot craze, because of the contest on BZP. I decided to go along with it and build my own. I'm really fond of how the exaggerated proportions and colors turned out. Anyway, comments are greatly appreciated, thanks!
  20. I really like these. Little Mixel inspired mecha, what's not to love :v
  21. Been using it for years now without a single sign of damage actually, it's highly effective and requires no modification of parts. But eh, better safe than sorry I guess.
  22. Tiny pieces of tissue paper stuck at the bottom of sockets work wonders, try it.
  23. I really like the look of that crossbow!
  24. Woah this guy might actually be my favorite of the wave, as a figure. He looks pretty ok from all angles properly bulky too. A real pleasant surprise, as he seemed pretty lacking the the photos we got back when they were unveiled in Germany.
  25. I've had this sitting around collecting dust for a while so I thought I;d finally get around to posting it. It's a generic sci-fi VTOL design, mainly built to experiment with wedges and SNOT techniques. Quite pleased with the end result. By the way, this is my first post on this subforum! Your comments are greatly appreciated.
