Super excited for this! I'll start developing ideas ASAP. -
I really like the torso construction. Doesn't seem very "agile and graceful'" with those stumpy legs though, they kinda screw up the proportions:v

The thread mentions photoshops and praises the creators for how skillfully they are made. Drop it

Reposting because it probably got looked over in the hype. The thread name is "The master plan" and it includes fake set lists and images of sets that don't exist. From 2008.

Zhodopasik has been used in a previous Russian fake set list, I'm pretty sure this is a bunch of bull. http://www.rusbionicle.com/forumsbio/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6627

Knockoff HF/Bionicle sets - where can I get them?
WARHEAD replied to Logan McOwen's topic in Community
Poundland, dollar stores, Chinese markets, that's the sorts of place I've spotted them. -
Oh, I didn't even realize I qualified. Would be neat to have it :v

Really hope the mask belongs to the big bad and that its power is some form of mass mind control to fit the whole kingly theme. Would be kinda cool the wielder was golden too, to depart from the tradition of all the main villains being dark. Maybe a tyrant in opulent shiny armor, sitting atop a throne, letting his brainwashed lackeys handle all the dirty work and not sullying himself. Now I'm just rambling. Partly influenced by King Knight's theme playing in the background

Disappointed they didn't keep the whole tiki/tribal look. This one is kinda overly complex and hard to read, sorta like the Nuva masks.

Exactly. It would be even worse with the 10 the new fans would be presented with. I'm up for a reboot. The first, tribal themed, years of Bionicle are the thing that left the biggest impression on me and it seems like that's what we're getting again. Hopefully they manage to pull it off again But in the end, it's all about the actual toys, and as long as the parts are useful I'm sure I'll love the new line :v

Yep, the design is directly influenced by the piece of concept art, I felt it was really cool and captured the insectoid feel the Bohrok were described as having. Thanks everyone!
-
Thanks everyone! I might attempt more Bionicle characters sooner or later but I can't promise anything. A Rahkshi or Visorak maybe...
-
That struck me too the first time I saw it.
-
Nope, sadly. I tried to accomplish it but I thought It wasn't worth sacrificing the look for the function. Thanks!

You wake one, and you wake them all. The Bohrok are by far my favorite Bionicle sets, and Tahnok gets the title of favorite set, because that's the one I got back in 2002. Hyped up bu the now very likely return of the line and some of the other reinterpretations of classic characters that have popped up recently, I was inspired to take a shot at rebuilding one. Their faces always confused me though, never was quite sure how I was supposed to read their facial features. They're usually described as being insectoid in nature though, a swarm, so I took some liberties and made my interpretation slightly buglike. The Va was more of an afterthought, an accessory to the Tahnok. It was built really quickly and not much effort went into it but I'm still pleased with the result. Well that's it for my ranting. Thanks for taking a look!

Love the shaping on this. Based off of Shockwave perhaps?
-
She does have one actually, it;s just a bit angular and grey :P Thanks everyone!

The tail would look much better if you turned the last torso shell around and then just raised the rest of it a bit, positioned it so it flows better.

She's gonna kick your butt. Not much to say about this one either really, she's just a cyberpunky android with an attitude, with some added generic anime girl flair. I built the head first, inspired by Felix' Pixi Droid and the rest just came together after that. The whole body construction, color choices and even the name are sort of inspired by early 2000's Bionicle MOCs, Jinzoningen73's Riot Fleas in particular. Thanks for taking a look!
