Can't say I care for these more than I do for the already pretty messy winter wave. The purple guy looks sorta interesting I guess? For the parts if nothing else.

Thanks a lot! Making it interesting to look at is always my priority number one :v

Thanks a whole lot everyone! Really proud of this one myself.

Legendary Valkyrian slayer of evil. The counterpart to the Dungeonboss, Astrid is a holy warrior of light. She was inspired by the completely impractical armored dress designs of various anime characters, mainly Saber from the Fate/stay night series, but also by Norse mythology and a particular power metal album I've been listening to for the past week. The tent part was what started the build and it may or may not make the dress look a bit big, but I think the end result was worth it. Thanks for taking a look!

The sort of guy you expect to find at the end of the deepest dungeon floor guarding the huge chest full of loot. Big, mean, likes to rip adventurers to shreds, you know the type. This guy was mostly inspired by the Reaper unit from the old Dungeon Keeper series of games and the various demons from the first couple of DOOM games. Just felt like making a big nasty monster, I'm fond of those. :v Anyway, thanks for taking a look!

She's a coldblooded intergalactic mercenary who just happens to be fond of a certain style when it comes to her choice of high-tech exoskeletal battle suits she wears. The whole figure is really an homage to anime from the eighties, mixing stuff like the hardsuits from Bubblegum Crisis with the magical girl outfits from Sailor Moon. I also wanted to put some of my purple parts to use along with some Clickits bits. I know this type of thing isn't everybody's cup of tea, but I really enjoyed putting her together and she's fun to pose and mess around with. Anyway, thanks for taking a look and your comments and criticism is greatly appreciated.

Oh, didn't realize I didn't comment here yet. I really really dig this guy's colors and overall spiky theme. The proportions and silhouette are also friggin' gorgeous. Just a really solid build all around, great work Chro.

Venomous essence crystallized into a physical form. Deviousness and cunning personified. No real backstory for this guy, just wanted to use up a bunch of trans neon green since I don't really do that often and it's been piling up. Also I really wanted to try out the clip technique with the '15 brainstalk parts. Thanks for taking a look, your comments and criticism are greatly appreciated!

I think 8 has to be my favorite series yet. All the designs are so great.

How did you envision Mata Nui before 2009?
WARHEAD replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Like this. :v 2006 was a long time ago. -
My problem with the new torso shell isn't that it's a single piece but that, like the SW one, the lack of any other connection but the ball socket extremely limits the usability of the piece. Even the 2014 Chima torso could be worked around with some specific techniques because it had the sphere socket in the chest. Overall I'm really not sure how I feel about this wave, with its strange unwieldy weapons, textures that don't really work with one another. Additionally, I think the gold-to-translucent color thing is really outstaying it's welcome. While I get that kids are attracted to translucent and metallic colors, it's really getting a bit ridiculous.

How would a reboot of RoboRiders look?
WARHEAD replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I've always found this MOC by =Bitter Cold= on Flickr a pretty great melding of ccbs and the Roborider concept, with the addition of a great transformation! -
A dragonfly could work. The Nui Rama resembled dragonflies a lot more than mosquitoes anyway.

Seeing this come together was awesome and the finished product is a sight to behold. A truly eyecatching design. (don't hurt me)

Terrifying thunderlizard. Another one of these big lizard things I've been building a lot lately. I built it to test the scaling technique and try out some weird proportions. Originally it had a thinner less reptilian tail but I decided to go with something a bit more traditional. The black legs and tail section are there because I ran out of blue CCBS shells, but I think it actually works. Like a change in the pigmentation of the skin. The katana on the tail is supposed to be a sort of offensive adaptation, a sharp bone ridge or something. Anyway, thanks for taking a look! Your comments and criticism are very appreciated.

Love idea behind that head design. With some minor tweaking it could look really great! Very interesting creation in general.

What special Kanohi/Masks do you own?
WARHEAD replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
1x Green Noble Ruru 1x White Noble Ruru 1x Black Noble Matatu 1x Flat Silver Noble Matatu 1x Transparent neon orange Mask of Fire 2x Clear Mask of Fire That should be it, but I didn't really count all the stuff that was widely available through retail. I have no idea where the silver Matatu came from but it matches the color Lego themselves use perfectly.- 42 replies
