Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
just2good replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, Werst has listed the seven TMNT sets with the Euro pricing... 79115 Teenage Mutant Ninja Tutles: Set 1 $50 79116 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Set 2 $80 79117 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Set 3 $100 79118 Teenage Mutant NInja Turtles: Set 4 $13 79119 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Set 5 $20 79120 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Set 6 $35 79121 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Set 7 $70 I'm guessing the first three will be the movie sets (79115-79117) and the other four are on the TV show. They're pretty expensive! That does mean there will be lots of new minifigures. -
Holy crap... Y'all went above and beyond making this. Fantastic work!
-
Wow, all of those sets sound fantastic. Thanks for the descriptions! What did the boxart look like, may I ask? Did they have like the movie logo and a minidoll drawing in the top right corner, like the Super Heroes boxes?
-
You mean Ariel's Enchanted Kiss, right? The Castle Romance set is also sure to include a male.
-
I'm not a Hero Factory fan, but I might get some of the mechs with minifigure forms. Sounds interesting.
-
Thanks, seems like a lot of the Marvel sets are cheap.

Yeah, I mean, I'd much rather have sets based on the films. I'm still hopeful though, as the Avengers set with Cap in it may be a CA:TWS set, and that the preliminary just has the logo as a place holder. As someone pointed out on YouTube, the other figure could be Falcon and the green guy can be a villain, and it could be a $20 set. In the end though, I'm very happy that we're at least getting GotG sets.

Speaking of CMFs and Mixels, this listing on that shopping site is pretty interesting. For $4, it seems like there will be Mixel sets with a mystery build? I'm not sure.

Thanks 'kris'! Very odd... I was hoping the Avengers sets would be branded as Thor 2/Cap 2 sets, but wow, that's odd. And, looks like bigifig Green Goblin is coming indeed. I hate being wrong. I'm guessing the Avengers stuff is on the new cartoon. That's what is seems like. And what the hedge is up with the Batman descriptions?

I think the 442 pieces in the Mirkwood Elf Army is just a place holder, but wow, that set sounds really cool. The other two sound basic, but I'm definitely interested.

Yep, this site was correct with their information last year, so this list is basically confirmed.
-
You can see all of the Euro prices for the Police sets on this shopping site, which are essentially the US prices. Set 60048 seems to be the Bandit Hideout set a lot of people are excited for, and it seems to be $30 USD. That doesn't seem like a good thing. If they focus on a vehicle, it may make the build a lot smaller.
-
Well, according to this site, the smallest set is $10 (fantastic price, and I hope it's as good as the $10 Kai's Fire Mech from this year), the Ninjacopter set is $50, and the Mecha Dragon set is $80. Like most websites, it seems they forgot about the seventh set, 70726 The Destroyers. I'm guessing that one is a particular retail exclusive.
-
You can see the Euro prices for the sets on this shopping website here and here. They basically determine the US prices for next year's sets.
-
Yep, they've been on Brickset for a little while, but thanks for sharing! I'm really curious to see how the $20 set turns out. $20 licensed sets are really strong this year.

The smallest Ariel set is $13 and the Brave set is around $20 according to my estimations of Euro prices found on this site.
-
According to this site, which was right last year, the Junior Spidey set is called Juniors: Spider-Man - Spider-use in the car, and it's going to be around $13. The Juniors Batman set is Juniors: Batman - The defense, and is going to be around $33. Not sure if I should put it in the Junior topic or here, but I know y'all are dying for some Super Heroes news, so I'll leave it here.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
just2good replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The set list in numbers and pricing for the January wave can be found here! 70800 Movie set 1 $15 70801 Movie set 2 $15 70802 Movie set 3 $25 70803 Movie set 4 $20 70804 Movie set 5 $30 70805 Movie set 6 $30 70806 Movie set 7 $30 70807 Movie set 8 $35 70808 Movie series 9 $50 (confirmed) 70809 Movie series 10 $70 Why are there only two "expensive" sets (of course by my standards)? Is LEGO playing it safe? I'm not mad about it though, as that means more LEGO for me! The USD price I put is based on the Euro price and how it usually works for Euro -> US prices when it comes to LEGO. That's how the pricing on this site was used last year.- 2,626 replies

Nice find 'Aanchir'! I missed that too. I think you're right with that we'll get nine unique sets. Maybe the characters can be mixed and matched to make a new character, but I also think it's likely that you're right about them having three different models. Twenty-seven unique sets is incredibly unlikely. I'm guessing these will be released around the same time as The Simpsons CMFs or the House set.

Hail ZCerberus, now also a History Mod!
just2good replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I pledge my allegiance to ZCerberus! Congrats! We need more mods in the Historic Theme forums, so this is great! -
Yeah, you just explained the problems with this year's sets way better than I did. The four builds I liked were all based on pretty recognizable builds, which were really just good set material (Bugle, Nick Fury's Car, Malibu Mansion, Arkham Asylum). The rest were only really good for the minifigures, and even that wasn't the case for some sets like the Man of Steel ones.

Yeah, I'm really hoping the builds are a little more complicated and detailed this year. Rather than being "for" Age 6-12 like this year, I hope they're made for Ages 7-14 and have the two Junior sets being for the younger kids with basic builds. I'm not impressed by the Riddler Chase builds, but we'll see how they turn out very soon, at least for DC stuff.

I know, I already did, but posted this just in case y'all saw something I didn't. At first I thought the cape was different, but it's just the one from 2010.
