Lego Ultra Agents 2015
Peppermint_M replied to TPLSTER21's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Can you take the grand universal theory off to somewhere else? I know it is interesting but it has very very little to do with Ultra Agents sets... -

Not at all! That is how we either gather a tally on the poster or know that enough is enough and they are only using EB as a billboard. -
One way to get some money back on preorder exclusive figures is selling on the game yourself or by taking it to a buyback place. Not exactly a money return, but you don't end up paying as much for the figure.

If you report these posts that are all about Ideas over presenting a MOC then we moderators can go in and sort it out. Just the same as if someone lets it be known they are under 18 in a post or on their profile, you need to report it so it comes to our attention. There are hundreds of posts daily on EB and there isn't enough time to go through each and every one of them. Staff not only have to police members and posts but also plan out contests and content for you to enjoy, so a report is the best bet to get it dealt with. -

Oooh, my sorting operation has also become a set-aside-parts scheme. Heh, this is going to be fun!

Do your minifigs have personalities? Ethics? Drives?
Peppermint_M replied to AmperZand's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I love to write, so my figures end up as characters whether I aimed to do so or not. Sometimes they are backgrounders or bit players, othertimes they end up like the Ankh-Morpork City Watch and turn their moment in the sun to a full tropical holiday. I'll always put a little into a MOC write-up about the characters involved. -

Legacy was art. I loved it. Film three and we haven't had to wait decades!

How do you prevent the dreaded "giant bucket of random legos"
Peppermint_M replied to Captain Pirate Man's topic in Community
See, I had about two gallons of LEGO growing up and I credit it for innovation and creativity. Can't find/ don't have a piece? Try something else! Finding interesting parts can spark ideas. A rummage bin is the best. -
Because of the time and effort spent by the original designer. They either spent time in LDD making their MOC or they rebuilt it in LDD to create instructions. I mean, some of my builds take a few hours and I can just about share some methods when people ask and these are vehicles! I can't imagine the effort for a modular.

I hope to display. If I can I'll attend, might drag my sister and her husband too.

I am going to watch it with my sister later (yay, internet piracy!). She got me to watch Over the Garden Wall too. That was interesting. -
Hmm, this is a hard one. I mean, my collection is going on 19 years old now with added 80s hand-me-downs and I am still finding that PaB and bricklink is vital to specific projects. I think a better way of building up a stock for creating structures like houses and public/commercial buildings is simply to start buying the Creator houses and City street/square/building sets. A great big box of random parts is great for creating vehicles and smaller buildings but any building needs many of a single element, that can't be supplied without bulk buying. One great way to get what you need is to build the rainbow-way and then use that structure as a template for what parts you need to make the real MOC (LDD just isn't intuitive enough for me). Then PaB or Bricklink can supply what you need. Even buying bulk mixed parts from eBay etc leaves a lot of leftovers you won't really use. Not sure if that is the answer you were hoping for though!

Transporting your display for shows
Peppermint_M replied to Xyver's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have only ever taken small builds, then again I did travel across the pond the first time! Bubblewrap inside and outside, you can get the big blisters or the little but they work wonders. When I took a build to the Event I brought it carefully packed and only had a slight section seperation. Going home I was less delicate with my packing and it had become fully parted out by the time I got home! -

I miss Wasp. I try and watch some AA but I liked the other series. Then, I'm not bothered with Spider-Man either as I liked the 90s series a lot better. -
