  1. If you hang around then the next bunch of CMFs will be Zombieful. Otherwise, I used to use the odd Darth Vader head I had (Are they still grey?) before there were actual Zombies made.
  2. The Goat is a mysterious beast and thus too elusive for later sets.
  3. Keep your Middle Earth, it just gives me a headache! Historic is a great banner to organise these things under. Though once upon a time Adventurers lived here until things were sorted around a bit to make Action, just think, you could have Ninjago in here too if 'tweren't for A&A. The forums are organised as best they can be when considering activity levels, fuel for said activity (Like theme popularity and sub-theme refresh rate) and if something looks to be taking up a lot of space and will continue to do so. Heroica started as some threads in Mafia and Roleplay but swiftly drowned out the Mafia game threads so had to be split off to a subforum. As did GoH, ZC mentioned. That said, things change over time which is why the forum does too.
  4. Fàelàn Lucky Rabbit A Front Row "I'll ignore that comment Alchemist, it must be the murcury damaging your brain."
  5. Some excellent colours and designs in this set, its on my list of look-out-for sets (for a slight price drop, money does not grow on trees) on that wave. Even gives a hint of Exo-Force, seeing as all the tropes and cliches come from a similar source. Thanks for this review and keep 'em coming!
  6. He's done it again! Whitefang has created an indepth review of the awesome Check it out in Action and Adventure Themes!
  7. Tesni stood back, between bombs and card magic there wasn't much need for a berserker rage. "Ooh, apples. I prefer them in a hog's mouth but there we go. Too bad none of these guys will share!"
  8. Some good points here, but I have to argue: The entire point of the LEGO Movie was to let kids and parents know all the exciting and cool things you can build with LEGO. That it was actually not a good thing to keep the collection static and seperated. But, just the same. There are AFOLs who will purchase and collect sets simply to display, be it UCS things or regular sets of a theme/property they enjoy. Sure, a lot of AFOLs like to MOC or MOD but there are many who do not and wouldn't dream of taking a set down (or never even building it and simply parting out). It is the same for kids, some will build a set and keep it on display while others will break it down and build new things. It is something personal to everyone really. For every kid who wants to play a great big game all over the bedroom with any and all toys, there is one who will have things put out nicely and interacted with in an organised manner. The worst threat is always parents, parents who think LEGO is too messy or that the set is only what it says on the box. (I heard one father say that and then pointed their kid to an airfix model. A quickbuild, not even a proper one!). That it has too many small parts or will only break... My sister and I go shopping sometimes and she'll have carefully lead me away before I start ranting like a madwoman at those who make the worst comments. (Mostly as she wants to have a bash too, she has many tragic cases from working in a school).
  9. I don't have to repeat myself I hope, it seems you are trying to be self policing but on the flipside it becomes a discussion on if you should discuss things... So keep it set topical. Cheers.
  10. Eurobricks staff member and reviewers Academy Teacher Whitefang has reviewed two of the new Ninjago sets: and Head over to Action and Adventure Themes to take a look!
  11. Repeat. "Eh, maybe we can get this sack to eat all his birds!"
  12. The only themes that have been in solid production since themes began has been Town/City and Technic. Everything else has haitus from time to time and while we fans might not agree that a licensed property counts as a return of an evergreen (Say, Hobbit for Castle) business wise it does. City repeats often as the market refreshes often. 'kay so we're adults and can remember the last three LEGO police cars we bought but a five year old isn't going to recall the previous police car in shops, let alone anything before that. Case in point, I bought an Ambulance set in 2006. In 2011 my friend's little boy was just getting LEGO mad and really wanted an Ambulance, all I could say to my friend is there would be one soon, the 2006 was impossible to find. (I get called the LEGO Guru by parents and the kids just think I'm awesome...). So if you got your first police car in 1980-something and therefore do not need another one so LEGO shouldn't make more, generations of kids are going to miss out on a LEGO police car. Next: This is not the same situation as around 15 years ago, LEGO at the time owned and operated the parks, tried to become a clothing brand, ran/owned a game making arm and were throwing about several risky ventures with ZNAP and Galidor and a number of loss making sets due to the number of unique parts and colours they were happy to create for even just one set. They stripped it all back, dumped Multimedia, dropped the clothing, managed to make some money with Star Wars and refocused on the core idea of the LEGO System. Less new and unique single set colours and parts. More innovation in parts use. They license out clothing and commission the games and TV series from other studios, outsourcing instead of costly in-house production. A few 'fail' licenses have happened in the past but LEGO hasn't died. Avatar: The Last Airbender, Speed Racer, Prince of Persia, Lone Ranger... There have been a few flops film and toy wise but other success have been fine. Yes we AFOLs do get a little tired of licenses if we prefer another theme, but who as a kid didn't want their favourite characters to be a LEGO minifig (My first custom was to draw a black lightning bolt on a red torso so I could have a Flash Gordon figure and once I got a cape I traced it to make lots more from paper). So, no. LEGO is not dying and it is going to take something a lot worse than youtuber apathy to kill it.
  13. Yellow duster cloth is your friend! You can easily remove fingerprints from the high gloss surfaces with a few dabs from a simple and cheap duster cloth. One of these: Just in case there are other names for it out there.
  14. It would be very difficult to keep track of things or keep any sort of organisation if regular members could just delete anything they wanted. You can edit a comment but only staff can delete posts and threads.
  15. Scarecrow, Dryw from the front row. "Lend me your power Dryw. Let the darkness see some light."
  16. Posts in this section don't add to post count. In any other section it is fine though.
  17. That two part helmet is very interesting. Should be fun to see how to combine it with things.
  18. "As if I did it by purpose. I only want my head to feel like that after a number of fine strong ales." Tesni grumbled.
  19. I'm hanging on until March for a trip to the LEGO Shop, then I can get the boat, the polybag double points
  20. Okay, lets put a lid on this now. First, Hi, Peppermint_M, A-F-FOL. As an EB Moderator I step in outside of my subforum when there are reports in areas I know the moderator is busy. Real life gets in the way of everyone, so I am stepping in to help Cornelius out. Now, Eurobricks keeps yearly rumour and discussion threads because it is more relevant year by year. There is a Rumour Mill in licensed for a reason after all. It would be really annoying if you wanted to find pics/gossip about Age of Ultron LEGO and found everyone talking about potential Inhumans sets. No one could find anything. As it is just on topic, miss two days looking in this thread and there is a lot of posts to catch up on. Hence why I am deliniating that this is for 2015 information and rumours and not movie discussion. By all means, mentions of no Fantastic Four sets and reasons are fine, FF is out this year and might have had sets, but now we know there isn't just let it drop. No need to drag Marvel character rights into indepth conversation. So, can everyone stop with the arguing and keep with the set discussion for stuff possible to arrive within the 2015 calendar year. I'm being pleasent as this isn't my beat, but it other staff or Cornelius wants then some people could be talking one-on-one with staff. Thanks. Excelsior!
  21. "Hr? Wh't? I'll hang back, yah."
  22. Guys! Really! This is about the LEGO sets, not who owns what and where to make movies! Please stay on topic.
  23. I want a sound brick, it can say "Waaal-ee" or play Hello Dolly!
