  1. "The mythril is not getting to the other cities." Tesni said, stepping back from the heat. "Though it seems plentiful here and in the mine."
  2. Yes, but TLG, WB and Disney can prevent the import and sale of these items. So they make some effort to enforcement even if it doesn't shut down the manufacturer.
  3. "Should we be making haste to give chase?" Tesni looked about the area, trying to spot any fleeing assailants.
  4. A note, I think that in modern parlance "Fan" and "Fanatic" have been separated from each other, Fan is no longer associated with Fanatic in the same way. To say you are a fan, it leaves the impression that you enjoy/appreciate something. Be it a TV show, film, series of books, sports team or toy. To say someone is a fanatic does still mean that you are on the slightly manic side of liking something, not to quite the degree of a zealot (think of it like the difference between "Large" and "Huge") but still more deeply than the average person who likes or enjoys the same thing. On to the point at hand: Personally thinking (and probably legally). Whether it is a company or a small scale customiser, replicating someone else's character is IP infringement if you make money on it. That said, I don't care if someone buys them or produces them. The company who owns the IP will deal with it if they see it as a problem. I buy clone brand products for parts LEGO does not produce but I only use the minifigure accessories, the bricks themselves are something too many people object to. However I am happy to use baseplates that are good quality in the same way an artist will use paper of a quality that they approve. If it is fit for purpose it can be useful. I won't buy bootlegs of characters owned by other companies (No matter how much I want a Winter Soldier and Shazam) but I have bought bootlegs that are a mish-mash of Mega, Best-Lock and LEGO parts, out of curiosity. Ethics and morals are personal things when you get down to the nitty-gritty smaller things (Vegetarian? Vegan? Eco-friendly? etc). In fact, some would call us all ethically and morally stunted for enjoying and purchasing petro-chemical based products! I leave each to their own.
  5. "Well, we did just find a shard with Atters here digging a little. Some sort of problem is happening in the communication." Tesni mumbled.
  6. A lovely hideaway for the Elves' animal friends It is a nice MOC and I have just one suggestion: You can make any landscape shine if you try a few terrain techniques. That turns a flat plate into a land-like feature. Thanks for sharing. I love how Elves has attracted people to Action&Adventure themes.
  7. A sky shark. I wonder if it will be our old sharky friend with added wings? A Zeppelin will be excellent for my Adventures too. As for collectables, hmm, gold doubloons would be cool or actual treasures instead of weapons.
  8. Tesni listened in. She had met some old rock-rats in her days in the mountains.
  9. If you keep things in perspective and well organised, you can have as many projects as you wish. Or at least that is what I find. I sketch and note part needs for any MOC, then prioritise what I want to build. Some projects remain pipe-dreams or sit on a back burner for a while and others get bumped off the list by a new and better idea. A deadline is the only thing that really sets a project ahead of others and if you don't have one of those then don't worry and just have fun!
  10. You can't make your own title. Staff "award" them to members on their capricious whims
  11. I likes a bit of mad metal me.
  12. "Hopefully there will be something to hit. That worm was too animal to be the cause, but someone may be controlling those fearsome beasties."
  13. I could certainly say, that to many I have enough LEGO. I have a lot of LEGO but I will carry on buying sets to add parts to my collection. I have a shortage of baseplates and will be buying more. It is my favourite hobby next to reading/writing and now that I have sorted my collection the possibilities are endless and I am really looking forward to realising some childhood dreams of large layouts. I just wish my photography could do my MOCs justice.
  14. The cage is also a work of art. Some great organic shapes included here.
  15. That is a lovely build. The string is a very nice touch.
  16. Tesni stood on guard. Investigation wasn't her strong suit, in fact it had been her team-mates with their ears to the ground. "I have heard rumours." She allowed. "But the others have the better evidence."
  17. "Sorry, we're just curious."
  18. I am glad that people like this and made a comment. You have to realise just how limited my Star Wars LEGO is! I was aiming for the iconic poster image from Attack on Titan in a form I could build with a months notice!
  19. Once every blue moon I build a Star Wars MOC. My last one was five years ago! As I was building for a local geek event I was displaying at, I decided on a mashup. The microscale Sandcrawler was built from a few pictures from the film. Luke is custom as I do not actually have a flesh-tone figure of him or even a New Hope version. I stole my brother-in-law's alarm clock. I really don't need to explain the reference do I? Anyhop, here is my MOC. Comment and critique as you wish.
  20. "It seems we are fine to head out. Unless you others have business?"
  21. "We, uh... Sometimes have that effect." Tesni said, shuffling the loot amongst her allies. A fang apiece, elixers for the ether users and a whip to Ellaria. "Either we become targets, or accidentally tread on enough toes to get plotters riled up, or we stumble into massive underground chaos factories and cause a ruckus..." (Anyone else want a whip?)
  22. He's done it again! Eurobricks Moderator and Reviewers Academy Teacher WhiteFang brings us the spooky scary Collectable Minifigs series 14! Head over to Special Themes and take a look. If You dare
  23. Excellent arrangement there. I love clever scenes like this.
  24. "I suppose I'll hack body a down to size eh?" Repeat Order
  25. "Have at thee foul worm!" Repeat!
