  1. When I have time I will collect and transfer the images to the first post.
  2. Hmm, I think this is a bit more The LEGO Movie, so I will move it across to Special Themes.
  3. If you read the site guidelines, it explains that you gain access after 100 posts. Eurobricks is not a trading platform and does not encourage people to join just for buying, selling or advertising products.
  4. Yeaah. I was asking about the cache ones, I have no idea how people dig those out. Last year no one though to post the Action Theme cache pics in thread, so I had to find some for the first post well after the fact.
  5. 'Kay, getting into iffy territory and yes it was partially my fault. So can we step away. Any pics out there from a legitimate source yet?
  6. Oh poot. No Nexo Knights for a while then. Ah well. Maybe that means there will be time for a good clear-out at the supermarkets, the summer waves always suffer from older stock not shifting and it takes a long while for the new sets to get in. Whereas Christmas and the UK's good old fashioned Boxing Day sales means the toy aisles are nicely empty for new shinys!
  7. Okay. Now an attempt at a bit of a joke has turned into this. . Books. Books. I love books! (Iamsoalone) Are there not some wonderful book moulds out there in the theme? My LEGO Librarian will have many wonderful books for the shelves and The Librarian will have some nice grim grimoires.
  8. Oh no! The lava monsters are not causing backlash, but look at what they look like. Then know that there are some people who complain that black LEGO is the colour black and therefore satanic... I was just having a little laugh, but it is not unheard of for a group or a newspaper to fill time looking for stuff to be offended by.
  9. Ahem, this is a gentle tap with the my space-lazer-impact-falchion that we remain on topic guys. (Everyone is drifting a little, so I am dropping by to say "Stay on target!") I personally think that this theme needs more unicorns. Giant robot alicorns even. But that is because the aesthetic here really reminds me of some facets of Zoids and I love me some Zoids. (Chima sort of varied in that respect.) Loving the baddies though. I just can't wait to see reactions from some parties on those lava monsters.
  10. Guys, can we keep focused on the 2016 Discussion? Anything beyond that is pure speculation and kind of clutters up this area that is designated for the 2016 releases.
  11. I love that paving technique. Attractive, practical and all around genius. Delightful build as a whole.
  12. Tesni walked back into the hall. The sights and smells were mostly familiar, they were calling to mind a thought of home. As ever, there was food and drink to be had, she picked some up and chose a seat.
  13. There is a lovely section of the forum dedicated to the LEGO Media Properties. Please discuss the show there. This thread is for actual set information, not the fluff that surrounds it.
  14. Yep, that is the department store known as Howells (David Evans branding) in Cardiff, they filmed in the toy department where I pop by to shop sometimes, the LEGO is always full RRP and tucked away a little, so older sets hang around for a long time. After a year or so, RRP is cheaper than the re-seller prices for the same sets!
  15. Oh, collecting age, I have been collecting since the age of 5. There hasn't been a single year in 22 that I have not got a set When I used to keep a record I could see that from the age of 17 there was an increase in the number of sets I bought in a year, mainly because I had an income independent of pocket-money! At one point Ihad purchased more sets in a year than I had in my whole collection as a child (Living the dream!)
  16. I have no idea. I lost count after a spate of buying-for-parts one day after a clearance sale or two. I didn't bother keeping a list up to date, but I know I have thousands of pieces. When I began my sorting effort, I had four 10 litre IKEA Samla boxes full of parts. This was before I parted out any sets I had in boxes or unboxed polybags and I have made a number of purchases since. I'm not a set collector, or truly a minifig collector. I use bricklink to see where parts I want for MOCs are and then have a go at remembering if I purchased the set the part came in or not!
  17. Yay, Yoshi! And he looks very smart too, much better than a lot of red 2x4s Can Isay an NPU on the bandanna? Very clever.
  18. "Why thank you. A handy bit of metal to have." Tesni grinned and pocketed the shard. She looked to the others, maybe soon it would be time to head back to the hall and whatever there was happening and Eubric.
  19. I would go for one of my favourite not-words: Magitech. Spellscience, MageTek and other staples of Science Fantasy work too.
  20. "Also wyrms. Big ones. Big bitey wyrms. Eesh, all wavey body bits and snapping... Took some real hitting to stop 'em I can tell you!"
  21. And here was me wondering if I was a rude moderator I had to pop in and say just how great it is that everyone can have a civil discussion like this.
  22. The Licensed Discussion Threads had become rife with non-topic content (speculation on 2016 movies etc) that was making the most popular few (Marvel and DC mostly) impossible to access for new readers and difficult to discuss the actual thread subject of 2015 Sets. When staff tried to gently steer things back on track we were met with resistence or were otright ignored. The staff decided that what was needed was the online equivalent of sending someone out with a loud-hailer to marshal things back on track. All licensed 2015 set discussion threads had the same post from the same staff member, for fairness sake. It outlined how the thread should be used and what sort of posts were on-topic . A number of members objected to this intervention and were put into isolation so staff could address their concerns one-on-one. While most were agreeable, even helpful with suggestions to the staff, a few were either discovered to be underage members or decided they wanted to leave the forum. Most members were let out of isolation quickly, those who chose to leave did so and underage members asked to come back when they were 18. It was pretty much a last ditch attempt to get the threads in order that seems to have worked out quite well.
  23. As they neared the smithy, Tesni could hear the dark blade plead for more strength. She ignored it and held back for a moment, the sword and its shadows did not control her...
  24. "I'll keep it quiet too. No sense causing panic."
  25. Reports stack, so instead of there being 6 seperate reports on one spam post, there will be a "6" marked on the report. It isn't a problem, it just means we know members are on the ball.
