  1. Felt like an update and I was cleaning up my signature. Ms. Cade looked too cool to lose for now, so she is my avatar now! I like the brighter colours in contrast to the old head shot of my sigfig.
  2. Oh hey, looks like I was right. Looks cool though. And maybe we get a corrupted Merlok 2.0?
  3. I am Peppermint_M and I approve this MOC! Can't wait to see more in the series, the bright colours and the 50s styling are fantastic and the added Biological aspect is just the sort of mash-up that makes a MOC theme pop.
  4. I'm 28 mark you, I just think she is old enough to build her own Elvendale! Instead she's getting Big Sister to build MOCs for her (like always! )
  5. Well my sister's demands for an Elvendale will only increase. ( she is 27 mind you.)
  6. Yeah, this is for set discussion not show discussion. Thanks
  7. So both, what is it like to watch after the fact? Any winces or gasps, face palm moments or "Dangit, I could have done that better."
  8. Well butts. Going to have to see if my order exists still. Edit: checked my emails, looks like my figures shipped. So I should get them.
  9. No, it is a hope for what could be done.
  10. With all the tech in the Nexo universe, a virus that corrupts it would make for a fun villain. I do like the black and green colour-scheme.
  11. I think it hinges on the age of the fans. The original "Classic" three were decided because they were the themes that AFOLs had as children. Then, as slightly younger fans came along it came to include their nostalgic choice. It is an odd term that may arrive from marketing or from fan speak when applied to themes. It can be used to denote an era (like comics has their Golden Age and so on) or something codified as essential (Casablanca is a classic film) or even due to entering a canon selected by the "great minds" (like Classic Literature). I would say that it is too subjective a term. Unless next year with all its anniversaries comes along with a list from TLG as to what counts as classic (I'm thinking that there should be at least some sort of Figure pack or theme in celebration that will give us hints)
  12. @JanetVanD Well, I was posting my initial concerns from the original "poster" that was on screen after The Big LEGO Christmas. I think we're going to have to add an As Seen on TV tag
  13. Or, you let her have fun with a nice and thoughtful gift? Is her LEGO separated from your LEGO? If so, it hurts no one and she has more bricks to enjoy. If not then you sir are insane and should create a "Children's Portion" and "Grown Up Portion" forthwith. It is pretty snobby to be making such a big when they are truly for the kids to play with. We didn't have money for luxuries when I was growing up, LEGO was very expensive. I had a great big Motor Sport bucket of Mega Blocks and loved that I had so many more bricks and wheels to use. Sure, when I grew up I parted out the LEGO and the otherwise, I have a smaller box of clone brands that now comes with me to the events I display at so that kids can play. (It really wasn't hard to divide them. So simple to spot the clone brick amongst LEGO)
  14. Not judging the presenters. I find Bill Bailey very entertaining and erudite, Dara O'Briain is a great presenter and Richard Osman is a real chap on panel shows. I think they are there for their "nerd/geek"-cred so they may not be as AFOL as us lot, but they are not going to be snobby or patronising (I hope). I am more concerned about what the tone is going to be. Channel 4 and the production companies that supply them with programmes sometimes take a somewhat mocking or "superior disbelief" tone (as in, "can't believe that these people do this"). While their serious documentaries are fascinating (Secret History, Time Team etc) the ones designed to be more entertaining can really up my aggravation at the narrator/presenter for their attitude. I dunno, we'll see.
  15. Sounds watchable, though the cringe might occur.
  16. @Robianco I found a store called Bricks Minifigures my strategy of the last few days was to search aliexpress with to x0 number and look at the lots with sub $ prices, then see who had the stock I wanted.
  17. I must have lower standards! I was quite happy with my disco nightwing and golden age flash. Two out of two copies (one for myself and one for a friend). Also, just found the CW Supergirl and the Alan Scott GL figures and made my order. They have honestly got a quality improvement on the past, as the local comic con guys older stock was baaad quality. Anyway, hoping to collect my way to a full golden age JSA (keeping my peepers peeled or Dr. Midnight, Golden Age Mr Terrific and a Wildcat, hoping a Black Canary meets my requirements.) But I am mostly looking for the Enlighten collectable figure series on single sale and the odd military or SWAT guys to buff up my adventurer armoury.
  18. Ninja-go to 2018 for new sets and cool stuff. More movie sets? Motorcycle gangs? Outrageous! 70633: Kai - Spinjitzu Master 70634: Nya - Spinjitzu Master 70635: Jay- Spinjitzu Master 70636: Zane - Spinjitzu Master 70637: Cole - Spinjitzu Master 70638: Katana V11 70639: Street Race of Snake Jaguar 70640: S.O.G Headquarters 70641: Ninja Nightcrawler 70642: Killow vs Samurai X 70643: Temple of Resurrection
  19. Ugh, so a few single sale options are turning up for the series 175, but still no Alan Scott.
  20. Well, Rocket Racer and X-treme Team stickers too? This set gets more and more appealing, sigh my poor bank balance...
  21. Any single sale options for those? My last store seems to have been closed. Got to get me an Alan Scott!
  22. Very helpful @deraven. Thank you Not all the "tags" (badges) are listed or explained. The short answer is: Some were prizes in contests, some are given out as rewards, some are unique or in-jokes and others are explained by the text upon them. Titles are given out for a lot of reasons. Many of them immortalise (or at least briefly advertise) something a staff member has found that amuses/impresses them and they put it on the member. A lot of them are archived here.
  23. Rivals could add an extra element to the theme, yeah. It would be cool!
