  1. Not once and I have been finding LEGO and LEGO related bargains in Cardiff for over a decade! The LEGO store is great though, Forbidden Planet has some things and there are a number of other toy shops that stock LEGO. Toys'r'us even have the polybags and figure sets stocked.
  2. And lo, another wave come-eth. Yes, it is @x105Black's nightmares come true. (All meant in good jest and humour) As it seems there will be more Nexo Knights. 72001 Lance's Hiver Jouster 72002 Twinfector 72003 Berserker Bomber 72004 Tech Wizard Showdown 72005 Aaron's X-Bow 72006 Axl's Rolling Arsenal
  3. Nice way to get the figures though. And I have plans for those pods already.
  4. I had a year like that, lots of sets sat un-built, MOCs just not happening and even approaching the idea of a build didn't appeal. I kept the sets stored away. I got my groove back and I started building again. The burnout wasn't just LEGO related, so I had taken time to refresh myself. I spent time on less demanding hobbies and other interests. It sounds like you turned your hobby into a second job, so no wonder you're feeling the burnout. All I can really advise is: Keep those sets! If you shift them away then you'll only regret it.
  5. German Football Team. Olympic Competitors. Exclusive to one country and in the case of the football team? Mostly only popular in their country (While I had a passing interest in the squad members who play for Arsenal, I would have rather seen them in the good old red and white and not their national kit...). So, not impossible. Just mildly unlikely.
  6. Yet here in the UK I can get a lunchbox and spaghetti shapes. People need to keep in mind that their local area us not the whole world. Also, attacks aren't necessary. So if you all didn't get you hackles up about certain posts then half the problem would be solved.
  7. Ah stupendous! The colour scheme is to die for, (part of the reason the set is on my list) and the styling is excellent. I look forward to next year's offering!
  8. Love the traps built in there! I am going to agree, the colours are excellent and really fit in well. People often seem nervous to use colours in certain types of builds. I can't wait to see your finished work.
  9. I was personally wondering if something like Sailor Moon or other Magical Girl anime would be popular. A group of colourful heroes, each with their own themed power... Sounds familiar right? As a replacement for Elves it would work, as a fantasy element would remain but it would be set in somewhere more modern and down to earth. Follow the tropes and it would work out well as a counterpart to the Action themes aimed at boys. Even a theme with a solo magical girl ( Cardcaptor style) leaves room for outfits, friends and monster-of-the-week.
  10. Oh, a golden banana is a great surprise piece. Very useful. Looking at the CMFs, the ones revealed so far are great. I have been a little put off by the prices of most of the sets, but the CMFs will fill the void.
  11. Ha ha! Galidor fan, absolutely superb.
  12. Ahem Can I draw you to the requests at the top of the thread. More specifically: Future Action Theme concepts please. -- I have to say I am loving the dieselpunk suggestions! Sky Captain is one of my all time favourite films so something along those lines would be fantastic!
  13. You got it! A storyline reason for a new Atlantis (Or any new underwater theme) is just what I'd like to see. Simply saying "I want a new X" is like posting a photo of a brick and calling it a MOC.
  14. Action and Adventure Themes are an odd bunch aren't they? Here is a place to talk about ideas for the future. However there are a few ground rules: This is not a Wishlist thread, so please no posting lists of themes you want LEGO to make. A Compelling Idea is preferred, an outline of a theme idea and story-line (basic or otherwise) will help immensely. Give us a reason to think "That's cool." Continuations, reboots, prequels and re-imaginings of current or past themes are very welcome but not demanded. Remember though: Spies, Submariners and Spelunkers are staples of Action and Adventure themes! Remember: It has to fit into Action and Adventure, too SciFi and it wouldn't fit, too mundane and we're talking town. Licensed characters and properties don't fit (But you can liken an Idea to a known property if you like). This isn't a place to attack current themes or to bang on about their cancellation/ending/replacement. This is just a place to share ideas about the future. Lastly: Have Fun!
  15. @LEGODalekbuster523 Please, please can we have a rest from Doctor Who? I appreciate that you are a fan and want to see more products. But not all of us need to hear about it all the time at every opportunity. Nor do we need further arguments about "mistakes" or the "potential success" of any products. Please could you consider this request.
  16. It has to end with an image extension, so .jpg or .png. If you select view all sizes in the "Dowload this Photo" menu, you can choose a size image that fits guidelines and right click the image. Copy image address is the option you want and you can paste it into the image URL space for a profile pic. This: Came from this: https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4250/34820758311_2b1da33412_n.jpg
  17. Or, if John Constantine was played by Simon Pegg ~(100% would watch that.)
  18. WELL, I like what I see so far!
  19. The main issue for a new Action Theme is the fact that LEGO do not use the same classification as us. So their Big Bang might not be one of our Action/Adventure themes. As for new adventurers? The new Jungle explorers are terrific and only need a little creativity to make your own storyline. But this sort of thing is really a discussion for elsewhere.
  20. It happens all the time. If we suspended registration then actual real new members would be put off. What you need to do is report the spam post and a Moderator will deal with it. We are all volunteers so it sometimes takes us a little while to get on to it, but it is dealt with.
  21. You would think that Eurobricks was a community for LEGO products or something...
  22. Or, @dignowas it is the subforum I handle you could have messaged me to move things around for you. Now you have two choices: I merge the separate threads into this new one you made or I lock the now unnecessary threads.
  23. Tablescrap often and never fear a teardown. If you build something and dislike a part, try subbing in different parts. Personally, I design on the fly. Starting with a sketch of what I want to achieve, then filling in the shapes with suitable parts. LDD is completely counterintuitive to creativity for me, but I am fortunate to have a large and varied collection and a long history of building.
  24. I believe people will be more comfortable with this in Community, so I'll just move it along.
