  1. Well, I wish I could blame this on LDD, but I can't, because it's a LDD miss. Fixed in the next version. But thanks for letting me know
  2. Great job there Zblj! And BTW - maybe the upper models represent what we can expect LDD version 8.0
  3. I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome Calabar as the new LDD Regulator. Some of you may have noticed that he was before called "Forum Assitant", but we decided to rename Forum Assitant to Regulator. More info about this new Role will be announced shortly.
  4. About colors, there are actually a couple of issues. Several of the light greens in the model should actually be LEGO color 28 - Dark Green (which despite the name is the "normal" green). The Turkey drumstick have the incorrect color, as does a few other bricks. The best way to get it right is to use the bill of material from BrickLink, and then use the Peeron Table to convert to the LEGO colors that are in LDD. You can also use LDD Manager to import your LDD files, and it will give you a good hint if you've used the right color or not (plus a lot of other stuff). With LDD Manager you can also copy & paste a BrickLink Bill of Material and generate a LXF-file from it, thus giving you all the right building blocks, and in the right colors. Neat huh
  5. The good thing is that everyone remembers your username legolijntje since we have to remember to spell it right And to KielDaMan - thanks for starting this topic off
  6. I would really like you to post your model too nicoga3000. We've had that situation several times in the past that two persons has done the same model, so don't let that dissapoint you (even if I understand completely what you mean). And besides, gear_tooth still hasn't updated his model with the right colors, so if you upload a more correct model, yours could still be the first to be indexed.
  7. You've posted in the right section, and hopefully some SR3D specialist can help you shortly. In the meanime, may I please remind you that this is an AFOL (Adulf Fan of LEGO) forum, i.e. we do ask that you capitalize your sentences and end them with a period. Also, animated GIFs are not allowed as signature pictures. Thanks for understanding.
  8. Micro design contest is now closed. Winner will be announced soon.
  9. Thanks for valuable input. The rule at EB is that LDD MOCs go in their respective theme. However, LDD Mocs with LXF attached is a special case since they are interesting to LDD builders per se (inspiration etc). That's why this talk of an index with MOCs with LXF's here in the LDD forum. Perhaps a set-up could be that each one scouting the EB forum, could report nice finds by posting in a new index topic, and then one person can summarize those in the first post of the topic (hope that made sence). So, the next step is to start up an index topic. However, before doing that, I'm going to let this rest for some time so that anyone who's interested to particiapte as "agents" get in touch and also someone who can maintain the index here in the LDD forum.
  10. I just noticed I completely missed KielDaMans SW LDD Mocs over in the SW forum WITH downloadable LXF-files . I guess this is one of the problems with LXF-files - in once sence they belong here in the LDD forum, in another in the relevant theme. One way to solve this would be an index (like the Official Topics Index) here in the LDD forum to keep track of LXF-files throughout Eurobricks. What do you guys think? And anyone feel like maintaining such index? PM me in that case. Anyway, here is a link to KielDaMans post. Thanks for sharing!
  11. LDD MOCs available for download Eurobricks member, and now also TLG Designer, Marcos Bessa have made a few of his MOCs available as downloadable LDD files. In other words; an excellent opportunity to have an in-depth look at these models and maybe pick up a new technique or two. Read about it and comment here
  12. Read here, and hopefully it will help you.
  13. Hi Gear tooth. Good build I notice however that you got a few colors wrong. For example you use Dark Grey instread of Dark Bluish Grey. Your best bet to get the colors right is to look at the BrickLink item listing and then use the Peeron color table to map to LEGO colors.
  14. Good question. The first reason is that I want to keep the pinned threads down to a minium. Sometimes pinned threads tend to be read less just because they are pinned. The second reason is that there is a link to the topic from the Index Thread. And I guess the third reasons is that people tend to find that thread anyway. But maybe you are right - perhaps it should be pinned. I'll think about it. EDIT - yes, I'm aware that the "Enable advanced graphics"-topis is pinned, but that's becuase it's current since LDD 4 was released - it will get de-pinned eventually.
  15. Well, it's just a small contest so I haven't been thinking about rules, but I guess I have to say yes - they have to be available as real Lego. But I promise - that was the last rule. No more rules
  16. Just a reminder of the micro-contest. Read the first post and post your entries before January 9th.
  17. Thanks for the news. Great LDD builds. The Villa Maison is a classic, but my favorite is Milou. Just beautiful. Personally I think one of the benefits of building with LDD is that it forces you to build in system. I know some people don't like it, but I think it gives an extra challange - you can't cut corners and I suppose it forces to build by the same rules that you LEGO designers have to use. PS: If you have any interesting stuff to tell us about if and how you use LDD in your work, (or other digital stuff you guys use at LEGO), we'd all be really interested to hear about it.
  18. Read the first post in this thread for instructions.
  19. Now I see Brickshelf again. Huge thanks to Tore for making the model I humbly requested in the "Request" thread
  20. Thanks for that entry. Lovely!!
  21. I can't access Brickshelf. Anyone else have the same problem? And naturally it had to happen exactly when Tore announces the Crane Truck
  22. Which fairing is this. Not sure I see it in LDD PS: Great job on the model!
  23. I haven't had the time to look into to it further. Maybe if some of the others in the thread has?
