Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Rogue Angel replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Mkjosha - The type of bricks you own can make a difference on your guild choice but the main question is usually where you'll feel comfortable building. Avalonia has plains and islands in addition to forests, Kaliphlin has grey castles and verdant jungles, Some Mitgardians never use white since they live in the southern foothills. Nocturnus has the most variety, but ask yourself which environment you will enjoy building in. -

Kerntechniker - Your forces are excellent, and it looks like they will significantly bolster our defenses if it comes to war. I love all the flags and the dragon! Royal Brick Customs, Welcome to Avalonia! We have much better forests here, so you've made the right choice. Zach Mills - Great to have you back in Avalonia, I look forward to seeing more builds from you! PenKid, I'm glad you were not seduced by the Dark side of the Guilds. Darth ZCereberus can be quite persuasive... Very nice build for your decision as well! Siercon & Coral - The Mystic Isles and Faerie Forest may be alluring, but I look forward to occasional glimpses of your realms. 3 Great entries in the first Task. Keep up the good work! -
I like the blue cloud car as well as the antennae on the sides of the building and the incorporation of the dark bley in the roof. Nice build!

I really like your buildings and platforms for the Star Wars universe, although not as much for Cloud City. It still works, but I look forward to seeing your builds for other planets. I really like the roof of your buildings and the way the lines carry horizontally across. I feel like I should know that freighter, and you've done a good job with it. I'm a big fan of the fans too. Very nice build!

That first picture is fantastic! My favorite picture in all the entries! I love all the details, and the way you incorporated a key element of the movie. This is one my favorite Imperial entries. Excellent work!

I always love your ships, and this is no exception. I like your ship much more than mine. The clouds are well done. And I really like the details on your platform support as well. Great job!

[SoNE Ep. I] Dogfight over the Cloud City
Rogue Angel replied to Artizan's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
The TIE and the cloud cars are well done, but my favorite parts have to be the small buildings (which are superbly done) and the underside of your platform. I really like everything hanging off the bottom. Great job! -
Very nice minis and the space battle is excellent! I too really like the explosion. You've also done a great job on that Z-95. Colors can be changed but the shape is the important part. The body of the fighter is my favorite part. How are you going to jump to hyperspace without an astromech though?

Nice work on a compact build! I also really like the Nebulon B-esque window. You've done a good job on that droid too, I really like the use of the army helmet. Good work! -
The AA gun is great, and I like the figure positioning too. Good job!

i think mediocre is a good description of what we've seen so far. They have a nicer release of 2 boring vehicles ( AT-PT and droid gunship), yet another release of a jedi starfighter and droid fighter, a waste of a set (IMO) with the battle of Selucami, and then one nice release with Grievous' wheel, a good BP (Death Star) and a great BP (Kashyyk). The two unrevealed sets could bring up the average, but we don't have pics of them yet. This will be the cheapest Star Wars wave for me in years.

[SoNE] Episode I; the wartorn cloud city
Rogue Angel replied to Bkrosell's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
I think you've got the start of some great ideas, but you need to flesh them out. The gun turret is cool, but I'd like to see some more uniform coloring, the windowed tower is a really cool idea, but it needs a little more size and/or detail to it, the bridge is a good idea too, but I think again a little more detail or railing or something would really add to it. I also felt that it was chaotic because it's really hard to see what's going on in the overall picture. You've got a lot of dark gray scattered on light grey, and your buildings/features don't have standard geometric shapes so it's hard to pick out these features. I like the little towers and all the different things going on (people heading for the stairs, flaming walker). Very nice MOC! -
[SoNE Ep. I] In the deep of Cloud City
Rogue Angel replied to Wedge09's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Great work on the angled corridor! I think this would work perfectly in an imperial installation as well, but I would try widening the top connection by one or two connectors. I'd love to see a shot of the interior of that hallway as well. I also really like the use of the pillars and the flooring in your hallway, and the lighting shots came out great! You've done a great job of capturing your scene here with the Rebels rushing about their work and the Stormies rushing in. Very good job! -
Not a bad little walker there. Is it just resting on it's leg bases? I don't see any connection between pins. I too like the base you've used, but the top of the white wall disappears against the white background with your lighting.

[SoNE EP.1] Extraction from Cloud City
Rogue Angel replied to pihlbrick's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
I also like the use of a non traditional ship, and you've done a good job recreating it. Maybe try some tiles or wedges on the sides to maintain the smooth lines you've got with the rest of the ship. I like the hallway as well as the rounded stair. Good work!- 15 replies

Agreed, Nice clean build, and excellent work incorporating a movie scene into your build. I do love Chewie with 3PO bundled up. and you have some excellent shots of your build. Might I suggest zooming or cropping in a little closer with more of your pictures so that you can't see the edges of the build (like your 4th picture) to make it seem like the build continues on past the camera? You've done a great job with the scenes, and this little adjustment might really make them pop. Excellent work though either way. Glad to have you on our side!

[SoNE Ep. 1] Imperial Troops Have Entered the Base!
Rogue Angel replied to MKJoshA's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Nice MOC! The hallway and the angle windows later one are well done. I like your use of windows overall, especially with the Cloud City image behind. I also like your figure placement for the scene. I'd love to see more scenes as the action continues in your next build. Keep up the good work! -
The first pic is excellent, and I really like the cell. When I build facade MOCs, I stick with the tight shots, and don't bother with the large overall picture. I really like the forced perspective shot of the fighter battle as well. Nice job!

[SoNE EP. 1] The Edge Of The City
Rogue Angel replied to Jacob Nion's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Great MOC! I really like the exterior of the building to the right - very Cloud City-esque. The inclusion of the Action Transport and the Cloud Car are also well done. The inclusion of the interiors was a great move, and you did a great job with them. THe 1st, 2nd and 4th ones are excellent (the 3rd one doesn't look as nice as the other 3, but that's just my opinion, and it's because the the other 3 are so well done). This is one of the biggest entries, and just well done overall. Keep up the great work! -
Taxes aren't like religion or politics, and it is relevant to the purchase options for a LotR set, just like talking about TRU and it's release times or discounts.

But Wizard Battle is selling very well. I think that Lego was kind of screwed with Riddles. You have to make it because it is the most iconic scene of the book, but it's not an exciting scene at all.

Beautiful figs Narbilu! I really like the way you incorporated all the LotR pieces, and the way you used the standard dragon torso/shield but still made the troops very unique. The story is excellent as well - I can't wait to see the battle to uproot the savages...?
