LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Rogue Angel replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
$4 for a fig that cost $2.50 5 years ago? That's a bit much. Admittedly, licensing adds a little, but not for the standard series. The jump from $3 to $4 has limited how many I'm buying, and any additional price increases will significantly reduce my interest in army building CMFs. -

The difference between four dollars and six dollars is negligible when you consider you'd be devoting an entire series to this. We want a full CMF line so those people that missed the batman sets, or don't want to pay for the figures can save, what - $40 or $50, or maybe $150 if they buy the whole line vs. BL costs (which would only be a few people). It's all in how you buy Lego. People that are willing to/can afford to spend more on Batman Lego will get much less benefit then the people that can't afford it, or allocate their Lego funds to other lines/sets. The people that would benefit most from this would be young Batman fans aging into Lego (~4-7 year olds) that don't have a Lego Batman collection yet. -

Why would we want remakes of villains and characters we have already gotten? It would be different even if it were a DC series. We have already gotten 2 separate runs of Batman sets, and while he has the best stable of characters for DC (and arguably comics in general) we have already gotten the top 15 characters. Twice! Who's left? Oracle? Toymaker? Clayface? Do we really a need a CMF line just for these figs (which we probably wouldn't get anyways) and a bunch of variants of multiply represented characters? I hope not. -

There will be at least 1. -
That's too bad that you won't be here this year. I guess Zambia is cool though, I guess...

Brickworld Chicago is coming up in June, and we usually have pretty good good GoH member attendance. Gideon, MkJosha, will you be able to make it this year? I should have a decent new GoH layout this year.

This is an excellent build! I agree with everyone else that the construction concept is a great idea. Your figure placement/positioning really makes this MoC stand out.

Excellent build! I really like the rock work along the front, and the tree, and the full interioris well executed. Great work!

LE, remember that this is a hobby, not an obligation. Everyone here has other things taking up their time, and they fit Lego in when they can. People check the forums daily, weekly, or with even less frequency and that doesn't even correlate to available time. Just because someone had time to create the Wiki in the past doesn't mean they have time to update it right now, or even in the next few months. The best thing to do is just mention it on occasion, or continue to ask questions for people to respond to. It's much easier to address individual questions when you only have 5 minutes at a time (like I do). When we start trying to force people into helping out, it becomes a duty instead of something fun and enjoyable. For me, 2 kids and a busy job have made for very little Lego time. With BrickWorld coming up in June, all of my spare time has been devoted to my GoH build for this event. I have about 10 builds that I still haven't posted from last year's BrickWorld (although they were from Collabs, so none are GoH related except for my Dwarven factions.) -
Excellent build! I really like your figures and parts selection for them (the Shaggy hairpiece and the purple LotR torso are my favorites - I had been trying to think of some use for that Torso). Also a great build overall, and excellent photography!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
Rogue Angel replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
These have been much less prevalent than previous series at Target and TRU. Maybe 1/4 of the time a store has had them at best? Maybe they got burned badly on the Monsters series that do not appear to have sold well (from what I have seen) -

If you come for the public days (Sat/Sun), it's really just displays, but that is the main draw for me. If you come for the full thing, there are workshops, set drafts, games and movies. -

I don't know if you've been to BW before, but it is very well worth going once, if you ever get the chance. -

Are you both coming to Brickworld in Schaumburg, IL this June? Then you can visit the Discovery Center and the Lego store there as well (and IKEA if you want). -

They may be restricted in some Challenges or contests, but otherwise they are fine. -
Constructive Criticism is one thing. "Your army is all the same type so it sucks" or other broad negative comments don't serve much purpose other than to bring people "down a peg". This is inherently a showoff thread, and people shouldn't be afraid to show off their armies if they are not fully completed, or conform to other people's standards of what they think an army should look like. If your only comment is going to be " I don't like you army because of X", why comment at all?

I agree with Artanis. Yes, there is a wild assortment of colors under the armor, but it's still an army with standard issue equipment. This is no different than someone buying 200 of one fig and posting it as an army. It's great that everyone has opinions about what they like and don't like, but this is the "Post Your Own Army" thread not the "Criticize Someone Else's Army" thread.

It's been very hard to predict outsideanimal costumes. I don't think ballerina or tribal woman will go up much, but I could be wrong. I would expect the satyr and maybe animal control...? -

I had been waiting to pick up the Tydirium specifically for May the 4th. I guess will just be picking it up from TRU or Target on sale. What a disappointment! -

There are many, many currencies in Historica. Darics are widespread as are many other coins. The material is typically the key, with the name, size and seal changing by region
