  1. it's an absolute nightmare . My VIP card was obtained in the USA but I buy in the UK. My VIP account has not worked for 2 years as a result.
  2. The link between education and wealth is different in different countries, and the ratio of Lego price/modal disposable income varies hugely across the world. It will be very difficult to make any sense of the answers on a global basis. I have an MA degree and a reasonable income and I like Lego, but I did not have a lot of Lego as a child as my parents did not have much money. My AFOL friends are probably less well educated than my non-AFOL friends I guess. But so what...
  3. I was more upset when the Jor-El promotion did NOT appear at all on June 29th....
  4. Our hard working archaeologists have recently uncovered this trace of a hitherto unknown ancient civilisation in the Akhenaten swamps. You are welcome to visit, but please be aware that a number of workers have mysteriously vanished from this site. We believe it is dedicated to the crocodile god Tiktok. Some of our more superstitious colleagues have claimed to hear a slithering noise and a "tik-tok" sound in the night. Maybe that's just a story to encourage curious tourists, but please arrange your own insurance.
  5. I love the landscaping on this build, it reminds me of Northern Europe. The reflected sun looks fantastic in the water, well done on getting the lighting and camera positioing right for this. Great horse too!
  6. The colour palette and the shape of the tree really add to the mournful air. I like the olive minifig havd, it really works well here. Too many have fallen.
  7. This is great! Excellent posing of the figures, that must have taken a long time. I love the wooden sections especially, and the outdoor oven/tower is really good too. The dragon or serpent heads are a very nice touch and I love the head on a flagpole. Excellent build.
  8. Excellent build. The sieve is really nicely done. The ancient villa is highly intriguing, I wonder if any of these survive intact.....
  9. Lovely build de Gothia. I really admire the inset panels with the half studs. The castle setting really makes the sand green stand out. It looks somehow quite realistic for an inner courtyard. Nice figure posing too.
  10. That little olive bush is great. All the vegetation is very good, and the fig posing is fantastic. Sad story though, especially as elephant poaching is rising again.
  11. Very nice look - once grand and now ramshackle. I really like the details of the porch and its contents
  12. Unless the rules change for the next chapter Here's the latest day on our tour of beautiful sunny Kalihplin. Complete with bona fide Eastern Kaliphlin influences. You control the action.
  13. Welcome back to Day 12 of our tour, we hope you enjoyed the party. Today we are lucky enough to be visiting Qarkyr during the Rakath New Year festivities, and the famous Lion Dancers are showing us their legendary ROAR! The beautiful music from the drums and cymbals will keep you entertained. Although some of the neighbours seem to have boarded up their doors and windows. Come and join the dance! Qarkyr is a cultural hub of Eastern Kaliphlin, with strong influence from the Rakath mountains. It sits on the Eastern trade road to Mitgardia and Nocturnus.
  14. Love the muted colour palette here, the crenellated bricks look great too. I love these gothic arches, hope we get them in bley and tan soon. Lovely build!
  15. Happy anniversary! Lots to like here, I especially think the canopy and the fruit bowl are brilliant details. And the cake is.... :moar:
  16. Beautiful composition. I really like the camel's head and the flags, they give a great sense of motion.
  17. Lord Erudhalion Sansael! Thank heavens you're safe. We were concerned the recent troubles up country may have inconvenienced you. Great to see you back
  18. Yup. Kaliphlin. Eclectic. It's what we do.
  19. Very nice, Ska! I love the use of colour and the fluted pillars. Those little pot-bellied domes on the corners are superb. Great backstory too! It might be worth persevering with the postcard shot
  20. Really nice Masa! The pink cherry tree and the water lily at the front are superb details. The solution you came up with for the water is really effective. Must visit some day!
  21. Holy mother of Moly! What a return! Welcome back Hersbrucker, this is phenomenal. It looks just like the mine scene in the Hobbit. But with Werewolveses. I love it.
  22. Congratulations ZC and family! I don't think you green tight and daffodils guys have anything to worry about points wise, look at all your free builds last month.
  23. Oh terrible! I really liked the original cuusoo submisson, this version is  I'll wait until I see it in the bricks to reach that conclusion, but at this stage I am in agreement
  24. I just want to jump into that pool after a hot day's walk. Beautiful work/
